I owned an RZE Endeavor back when it still came with an NH35 movement. I was impressed by the watch and how well it hid the height of the movement. The bezel action and the coating really impressed me.
I normally like bigger divers so the glass/dial is still a reasonable size for my wrist/eyes but found the RZE Endevour case fine with its narrow bezel. However i felt the 20mm down to 16mm bracelet looked too slim and couldn't understand why the choice was made when 20 or 22mm parallel bracelet and bigger clasp should be mo issue in titanium. This new Big Boy seems to replicate the narrow bracelet look from a wider start.
Nice to see Travis exploring life beyond the 38-40mm zone (not hating, love my Ascentus GMT). This one doesn’t do it for me, especially at the full MSRP, but this is just one more indicator of RZE’s maturation as a company, and that Travis has things going in the right direction. The interplay between the black elements (handset, date wheel, bezel) is fantastic- dramatic while still being appropriately tool-ish. Great effort from Travis, and Jody, I think you were the first out with a review of this one, so nicely done and thanks.
Super high contrast dials have really become a fave for me. I think this looks great apart from being way too big to me. I have smaller wrists and just prefer the look of a smaller watch.
Without a doubt I will be adding a RZE to my collection in the future. Their Endeavor line may be one of my favorite Divers out there. Thanks for the great review as always Sir!
That's a strange comment. Wouldn't you think those that want big watches would buy big watches? I have an 8.1" wrist, I always buy bigger watches. I'm wearing a 56mm x 55mm G-Shock Mudmaster right now. Even some 40mm watches look a bit small on me. Would you ask, do those people demanding a 44 shoe size because they have big feet actually buy them? Not everyone has little girl wrists my friend, even some girls don't have little girl wrists. 😉
@@ocb05 I have big wrists, I only buy bigger watches. I'm detecting some wrist envy here.. Don't worry, it's normal, not everyone can have a big one. 😉
Couldn't agree more about the pricing, I have a Valour which is excellent I should add. Is there enough diversity in the range to encourage you to buy another at the rising price point? I actually thought this did wear on the big side so a niche piece in my opinion and expensive.
Looks like the same clasp as my Zelos and Christopher Ward watches, I bet they all come from the same source. That's not a bad thing though, I love the toolless on-the-fly microadjust.
Great video as always. I also liked that you had the lights turned up a little brighter this time on you in the introduction. Sometimes you seem a touch underexposed. Sorry about the small critique.
Personally I am so glad to see a 44mm. I honestly love 40mm and greater sizes. 38 and 39 are a "wee too small" for my taste (and eyes.) But I support a variety of sizes for all. That's why there is vanilla and chocolate (and pistachio, etc.) I also love the increased use of Titanium by many brands. One other point - what's the deal with Tantalum - not many seem to be working with that metal, is it too hard to get or too difficult to machine?
The miyota 9015 is a big upgrade from the NH35. Way too big for my 18.5cm wrist and taste for small watches. Really nice stuff with the channel. It felt like yesterday when you hit 100k. I wonder if there's a saturation point for youtube subscribers interested in watches.
I like it, but just a smidgen too big for me to wear more than occasionally. I'd like it better in 42mm X. Additionally, I like the bezel change option, but the screws intersecting the bottom edge of the bezel is a bit disconcerting. I know he was trying to keep the thickness down, but beefing the thing up enough to keep the screws more centered would have been preferable in my mind. 🤔
I really wish they had this type of handset and indices with black surrounds for their full lume dial. Then maybe I could read it in the dark when theume fades enough.
Ther is a Boldr supply co’ness to this watch. Cool sharper edges, high beat movement. Not bad at all. Great to see these adjustable clasps more and more in affordable watches.
Very much against market trends. Good luck with this one. I like it and price is a bit less off putting with the step up to the miyota but I couldn't wear something that huge with my little wrists. Also where is the yellow!?
5:33 Is it just me or does the lume on the bezel and dial not align at 12? Also, there's no way I'm preordering anything, let alone a larger purchase from a foreign country where enforcing consumer protection laws (if they exist) is so difficult.
I've literally just watched Will's review of the black version. He would, of course, have preferred the white one. Anyway we agree it's a lovely watch but too big for our girly wrists. Great video. 👍
I like it except for the bicolor loom on the hands, and the price. I'd wear the black bezel version at $400 US, otherwise I'll stay with the Helm Vanuatu Ti.
Jody - any idea what material the bezel inserts are? With three screws each time you want to swap it out, I would definitely need something scratch resistant for the insert! Also, there is frequent bonding and/or thread stripping between different metals, so might be concerned about the longevity of these tiny screws against Titanium. Some Ti watches with SS crown tubes have seem similar failures.
Doood - with the coffin at High Noon and a countdown bezel this could have been a Gary Cooper edition 😆👍! Missed opportunity - he was a big fella too, and as understated 🤠...
I like this one a lot...until I heard the price. Steinhart has an original design, titanium, Swiss made actually cheaper...Im struggling with why this is so costly....
Everything is really good and I love the bigger size (it's not really that big, as seen in the pocket shot where you had it too close to the camera.) Great video as always.
RZE...good looking metal watches with super-hard scratch-proof coatings at a reasonable price and ready to order. In other words, the watch company Traska would be if Traska actually had watches in stock on a regular basis. LOL. :D
Too big for me. I can see bigger wrist guys liking it. I would like to see this in a 38mm with 46 to 47 lug to lug. That would be nice for us smaller wrist guys. :) Titanium watches with a bracelet always add to the price so no surprise there.
I have always liked their designs even when they were "Reise" but unfortunately their prices have been increasing too fast and too high, in my opinion. As much as I love Zelos, their prices have also increased substantially over the past 18-24 months but they still remain as one of my favorite "microbrands". Cheers, Jody. Also, your Sh*tbox rally video was very entertaining. I watched it twice.
$699? I'd probably buy it, if I'd be an idiot. Luckily, I'm not. This watch should cost $350 max. Tho, since it has a mechanical movement, it shouldn't even exist.
I love RZE but this one is too big for me. Sorry to say but impending doom every time you look at the coffin shaped 12 marker, scares me too. Erm so does the rrp ⚰️
I own an endeavor and with an 8 inch wrist it wears rather small. I think the big boy is a must for me. Hopefully there is a blue
I owned an RZE Endeavor back when it still came with an NH35 movement. I was impressed by the watch and how well it hid the height of the movement. The bezel action and the coating really impressed me.
Looks like an awesome watch, RZE make great watches, definitely a fan of their Titanium field watches.
Forgot to say yesterday that was a great video about that car rally , very enjoyable video.
love a good titanium diver 🔥

44mm? I'm all in Jody. No skipping arm-day for this guy!
Looks awesome. Bracelet is very cool, finally a case for bigger wrists. Wish that the other bezel had thrown some color in there though.
I'm Singaporean and this is the first time I'm hearing of RZE, haha! Thanks for educating Jody
Hey bro. We also have other brands like Boldr, Zelos, Vario and Mitch Mason.
I’ve previously tried to contact the business without response. I can’t image what customer service would be like..
Travis never let's us down when it comes to design, another fantastic looking watch! Unfortunately a little big for my tiny wrists

Travis created this big bad boy and did a great job.
Glad to see some big bois being offered these days. I’m not a 40 or less kind of guy. And this one is handsome! Cheers!

I love my RZE full lume!
For Travis’s sake, I hope the hoards of people ‘demanding’ a huge watch with a 52.8mm lug-to-lug actually buy it… 🤔
Exactly. Funny how those big ass dudes whining about watches being small but didn’t even buy those large watches when launched..
@@ocb05
How would you know?
You’ve got the sales figures of all big watches at hand?
@@ocb05 Have you ever wondered what are the sales numbers for the Seiko Sumo, at 45mm?

Looks nice and tool(y). Maybe make it in a 40?

Can’t unsee the coffin mark after you mentioned it. But it doesn’t really bother me, despite the fact that I’m not a vampire.

Actually not opening for orders until later in June...not June 1st. Just signed up.
Good looking watch. Thanks!
7:05 I prefer the gray on gray (much less common) but it’s still too big for me.
Great microbrand. I love my Ascentus.
Very much against market trends. Good luck with this one. I like it and price is a bit less off putting with the step up to the miyota but I couldn't wear something that huge with my little wrists. Also where is the yellow!?
Colour-matched date wheel? Am I missing something, or would that not be black numbers on an off-white background?
Well, you know what I mean. Or at least you know what I think I mean!
5:33 Is it just me or does the lume on the bezel and dial not align at 12? Also, there's no way I'm preordering anything, let alone a larger purchase from a foreign country where enforcing consumer protection laws (if they exist) is so difficult.
Review the Ginault Silent Service, it’s outstanding.
That bracelet is a thing of beauty
Meh to the watch. 👍🏻 to the vid. Bit too big and I never like the buy it now pressure or wait and overpay. Another great review. Merci!
This is nice, really nice. I like the angular design and easy legibility, I like the bracelet; its cross section reminds me of their logo.
Good looking watch. Nothing says "adventure" like coffin and tombstone indices.
I've literally just watched Will's review of the black version. He would, of course, have preferred the white one. Anyway we agree it's a lovely watch but too big for our girly wrists. Great video. 👍
We have seen h links, even super “j”s but this new E link bracelet is pretty cool and my fav letter making link style. 😂
It is b-e-a-t-u-f-u-l-l and I love it is over 42mm. Titanium is a great material, but..... I recently bought a North Edge. Similar looks, 46,5mm
Coming back to this: Zellos just announced their Ti 44mm watch. That one is more tempting.
Nice. Have you done a Venezianco Nereide at any point, or seen them? I have the Nereide GMT and it's really nice.
Lovely watch, definitely worth a sign up with RZE...Nice one mate 🙂
I like it except for the bicolor loom on the hands, and the price. I'd wear the black bezel version at $400 US, otherwise I'll stay with the Helm Vanuatu Ti.
The best titanium watch in my collection is my sturdy Citizen BN-0116. Such a great everyday watch.
Might buy one
I want this now will you ship to Glasgow 🇬🇧
Like the tee shirt. Am a fan of RZE

Beautiful big watch! With great features

This looks almost exactly like the zelos hammerhead
That coffin ⚰️ OMG ☠️
I'm really into the blue meteorite version of this.. If only it were 42mm and 50 lug to lug.
Cheers mate.
Sept 2023 Price is currently 549 bucks. Add 10% off and ur at 594. I would buy if for 500....

Nice. Obnoxiously big. Yes. I like it.
RZE site now advertising early bird price at US$590. This is not the US$490 you state in your review. Whats the story? Thanks and regards Russell
They changed the price mate! 🤷
@@JustOneMoreWatch and I changed my mind.
Why don't I own a white dail diver!?
The coffin at 12:00
It's a crude block design. Only good thing is the display etc
Nice looking watch, RZE stay true to theit design language. But be it as it may, in my opinion it's a little too big.
Wow! Great specs! Yes, there is a god and he knows my name!! Thank you, Jody 👍👍👍
nice 💪
Love the minimal stylingchoices here, and at £500 its a bargain
It's a REALLY nice watch, but those bezel screws are NASTY, what a shame !☹️
The size is not for me but I like the design. The rrp is getting too high, I agree. I’ll just stick with my Endeavor.
wow, nice, but a bit to big (for me that is)!
Not a fan boy for titanium. I prefer weightier watches
I had to send my brand new GMT back to RZE as it arrived defective. Had to pay to have it shipped back. Not happy. Never again
499, maybe. 659… not a chance.
Nice Watch but at the RRP, I think they are pushing it.
"Zed" sounds odd to my American ears, but I have to admit that ar-zed-ee sounds better than ar-zee-ee.
A big boy?? 44mm, Lol…Invicta said hold my beer…😂
Yet another oversized diver, just what the world needed.
$699? I'd probably buy it, if I'd be an idiot. Luckily, I'm not. This watch should cost $350 max. Tho, since it has a mechanical movement, it shouldn't even exist.
Too beaucoup
these microbrands are going insane with the price, imho. $699 is Swiss watch territory
A Ti watch... weighing in at over 150g???? Oof
I was thinking the same thing.
I own a full titanium Citizen pilot’s watch in 44mm on a bracelet, and that thing weighs a mere 100g…

The good news, it's a great looking watch....the very, very, very bad news, pin and collar.
Glad to see the RZE crew making watches for all types. I do miss the value of their earlier types. Style wise, this is not for me.
