Beautiful passage! ☀️Again, love what you do with the drone! Gotska sandön looks fantastic from above. A few more months of winter to endure...☺️👍🏻 Your videos really help!
Hi Joakim. Hope you safe and doing good. Glad that you enjoy the videos. We can't wait to get back out on the water, hope to see you out there! Cheers, Chris & Tanja
Found this channel two days ago and have watched everything allready! Its adictive! Very nice to experience the stockholm archipelago through a different (foreign) pair of eyes. Glad you guys like it as much as I do. Keep up the good work and keep uploading. No better way of getting through this covid winter. Cheers /J
Hi John. Thank you so much for your comment, glad to hear that you like the channel! Follow us to Visby in the next video. Cheers and stay safe, Chris & Tanja
Passed Gotska Sandön once on our way to Gotland. Weather did not encourage to anchor. Beautiful place that's been on our list for a long time and with this nice video it's starting to be a must stop. Hopefully next summer👍
Hi Kenneth. Yes, it is definitely a must stop, but the weather really needs to be ideal, and next time we would probably wont to stay a bit longer, to have more time to explore. Hope you make it next summer. Best, Chris & Tanja
Nice video. I’ve sailed to Gotska Sandön twice, magical place. Those swells coming around the island are typical. Pulling out a second anchor from the aft helps.
Hi ExpatMoe. Yes, truly a magical place! Thanks for the tip, will definitely be trying that next time, maybe Tanja can then get some sleep:) Cheers, Chris & Tanja
Hey Aurora, nice video as usual. I like your steep learning curve with the code 0 and how you figured out you want to use your mainsail to blanket the Code 0 and make rolling-in easier. The same principle applies to the jib. We always keep our mainsail up for safety. Your videos convinced us to buy the same Code 0 (in black BZ laminate) for our new boat Vixen. Looking forward to your next video.
Hi Harold. Thank you so much for your nice comment! Glad that pur videos have helped you in choosing a new Code 0, hope it will be great and you will enjoy it as much as we do! Take care. All the best, Chris & Tanja
Been there a few times. I am always looking at the AIS where the other boats are, because that spot is likely to be the best. If you plan to go ashore is the Northern tip close to the village.
@@SailingAurora Yeah we made a short YT-video of it last year on my channel. (Don't want to spam yur comment section with the link thou) 😬 We use the Code-0 quite alot!
@@HandymanHultman Hi Leif, just watched it, great video of that race. I can see you had a lot of cool sail setups there and some good sails too. Would love to do that race too sometime, I could do with a little more experience though. Maybe the next additions for us will be a pole and a Gennaker.
Nice video, looked a perfect sail with good speed. Liked the drone footage both of the sailing and of the island. Just one small point, I would be worried about all those lime green post it notes - looks like work to me - lol.
Hi Barry, It was such a great sail! Don't be worried about the post it's all tasks were done and most of them actually before we went out, just a few to do on the way. Take care and stay safe, Chris & Tanja
Enjoyed that and thanks for sharing. On your rolly anchorage experience (current and wind from different directions), have you not experimented with deploying the kedge off the quarter, bring to a winch and hauling the bow directly into wind?
Hi Norman. Thank you so much for your comment. Yes, might have been a possibility, but we came in at dusk, and we didn't think that the wind was strong enough to cause a problem. But for next time we will probably do that. Cheers, Chris & Tanja
Hi Chip. Thanks for your question. We use Anchor Lite anchor-lite.en.uptodown.com/android, but there are many different, but after testing a few this is the one we have ended up with. If you have tested any that you find works better, then please share:-) Cheers, Chris & Tanja
Hi Henrik. Yeah, you should absolutely have come, it was so nice! But we will go again, together. You too, take care. Not long before we can start preparing the boats, see you back on the water. Cheers, Chris & Tanja
@@SailingAurora the nature is really unique, its present in the archipelago south of Stockholm but this island is really something else. I would love to go back there.
Nice sail and a beautiful place. But... Gotska sandön is a protected area, so the use of drones is not allowed... Please be carefull when using drones.
You are a lucky man, the meals that Tanya prepares look fantastic, wonderful video thanks for showing us such a beautiful area!
Hi Steven. Thank you so much for your comment. Glad you liked the video! Yes, I am a lucky man! Cheers, Chris & Tanja
Favorite channel in the Baltic sea. Well done 👍

Lovey to see new destinations, great video. We can relate to roly anchorages, very unpleasant. Look forward to next episode!
Hi Jon. Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video! Cheers, Chris & Tanja
Brilliant to see you two behind the wheel and that is NBJS. No lazy cruiser style with the autopilot doing their job. Cheers.
Thanks Sgt-Bond. it was an awesome sail. Cheers, Chris & Tanja
