    Lyrics:
    Daylight fading
    Desolate skyline
Sun retreating, giving way to dusk
    Canvas sinking to darkness
Flickering are candles in the wind
Following behind the trail of the living to the feeding ground
All are one and the pulsing of a heart keeps an eternal bound
    Open your veins
    Open your veins
    Hook up the line
    It's feeding time
    Open the veins
    Drink of the body
    Blood like wine
    Bow low, bow low
The children of the blood glow for the one eternal
Pray now, lest the darkness fall upon our rite, to the one eternal
    Peering in the night
    Servants
Everybody on the lane coddled in peace
    The body had to cease
    Soar below your sky
No wind below his dead wings
To the pale one, this life, we owe
    Whispers trail in the breeze
Ignore the sound, 'though malicious it seems
    Bow low, bow low
The children of the blood glow for the one eternal
Pray now, lest the darkness fall upon our rite, to the one eternal
    Oh, the beauty abound
Bow low before the pale one
Pray now, lest the darkness fall upon our rite, to the one eternal
Interference howls in the dead of night
    The dead of night
Remnants of an elden order circling
    Hold tight
    Our innocence betrays our safety
The reality of our destruction reaching for our sanity
    Solidarity besieged
The remnants of an elden order servicing their vanity
    Vanity
    Weep as the darkness surrounds
Silent, in the moonlight, as she goes
The air is stale as he lingers on his own
As he lingers on his own
    Harboring the foresight
    With the teeth drawn
A commanding shadow pushes onward toward the throne
Draining borrowed blood and roaring loud as thunder
    Nails tearing through the pale
The preservation of a life gone
Blood rains heavy in her trail
    Mirrored image
    The child of coddled demeanor
    A family torn
    Carry on by his side
    Wide in the middle
    Terrorize
    The hunger showing teeth
    Severing mortality
    The hunger grows inside
    Measuring a quarter in size
He moves swiftly into the night
    So, stay low, stay low
    The fury of the stealth-blow
Drain the blood and the cries out to terrorize
    See it in their eyes
The pleasure of the hunt is recognized
Painting the town rose red beneath his feet
    Red upon his face
    For the taste
    For the vengeance
    Deemed the savior eternally
Painting the town rose red beneath his feet
    Red upon his face
    For the taste
    For the vengeance
    Deemed the savior eternally
    Bow low, bow low
The children of the blood glow for the one eternal
Pray now, lest the darkness fall upon our rite, to the one eternal
    Oh, the beauty abound
Bow low before the pale one
Pray now, lest the darkness fall upon our rite, to the one eternal
    Servants
Everybody on the street living in peace
    They rid it of disease
    Open up your veins
    Hook up the line
    Drink of the body
    Blood like wine
    Blood like wine
    Open, open your veins
    Drink of the body
    Blood like wine
Son of darkness, feed in the dead of night

Haha, “Elden order.” Got the Hades reference with Zagreus, FF with Thanks Nobuo, and now Elden Ring with a Dracula song. Or, maybe Periphery wrote this as a fanfic. The “pale one” is Miquella after Mohg finally wakes him up with enough accursed blood, then he goes on a rampage through the Lands Between. Definitely a stretch, but that’s what I’m going with lol

I hate to fanboy, however, long-time Periphery fan since the Genesis. When I turned 23 or so, I left behind all music endeavors during a low period of rather extreme yet functioning substance abuse which bottomed out and I've always associated music with jamming and getting loaded - once I had to climb out of my hole, and get to my brutal jobs and transferred eventually to owning 2 businesses and getting better, this album comes out and I decided to go down memory lane and I've been immersed back into music after 5 years not listening or jamming a damn thing. This time around with a much healthier association. The thing is I was always pretty on par at playing guitar with a lot of prog bands and theory nerds. I have regained an identity that I forgot about which brings a lot of joy and release from what I was missing. Been playing guitar since 5 almost every day and took 5 years between 23 to now 28. I am making up for lost time and I enjoy every minute of it. This album wi be held near and dear.
I understand P4 came out in-between this period of loss, but I wasn't ready yet. Even now, there are some distant memories of brutal times when I get into it, but I wouldn't change a damn thing with all that I've learned.
In addition, I always took a lot away from Periphery's business approach to art and career. Owning 2 businesses now where I can sustain a life of my own and have freedom has gained me a lot of fulfillment and perspective that I wouldn't have had without the tough times, the absence of comfort, and perhaps knowing Periphery.
Less fanboy, more right place at the right time - more seizing the moment. I did buy all of the merch in response, hood, mugs, vinyl, guitar pro tabs from SH, some horizon devices gear, archetype Nolly, and even a minilogue.. Fight me! Lol
Hope to see these guys come to Toad's Place in New Haven again. I'll certainly be there.

Forgive my personal dissertation - I often keep to myself about this kind of shit, but I felt the desire in the moment to share as I feel this time in my life is symbolic. Treating my Life like the art everything is.

Never thought I would see an American or Western band naming their song in Romanian 🇷🇴. Which, btw means "The fat Devil" - although I guess is about a vampire (Dracula?).
Also, Dracul is not equal to Dracula. Funny fact: Romanians never speak about Dracula, except in conversation with tourists, but mentions Dracul or Dracu' in many contexts quite often 😂. Just a bit of FYI.
