    Thank you for this video. It is very informative, well shot, clear, and easy to understand. It’s the best video I’ve seen on street dice yet.

    An excellent video, as usual.
    A channel called "Color Up" has a video explaining the casino craps table in under 4 minutes; it's easy to learn, but repeated listens will perfect your understanding of the game.
    You forgot to mention the most important part, however: every turn, you should say "Seven" very loudly. It will ensure the roller good luck amd _absolutely will not_ result in your legs being broken. I should know! I've made enough money over the years from craps to take more time off an endulge in my favorite hobby: telling malicious lies on the internet.

      Good recommendation! I have played a few times in casinos, but I find the whole experience to be overwhelming, plus I don't enjoy gambling, only winning 😉. My hope is to highlight fun games that can be played with friends and family and if you want to take it to the next level, do so at your own risk. Be careful out there and thanks for watching!

      It's a classic, a few dice n some friends, cash optional and you're all occupied for while. And for those poor souls incarcerated it's winnings of stamps, smokes, and good old Top Ramen ✌️🙏😎

    Well that escalated quickly! 😂. From children’s games to street craps 😮. What’s next? Learning how to do the Three Card Monte hustle? …. Seriously, though. Is that next? And is there a version with an Italian deck?…good job keeping the channel entertaining 😂

    • @Play-In-Games
      @Play-In-Games  Рік тому +1

      That’s certainly one way to look at it 😂. I’d be willing to say that I’ve personally seen more aggression from the Italian games like 7 1/2, Cucù and team Briscola than Craps, but your point is valid. I’d also say that Craps is incredibly important and influential to Italians and Italian Americans, and basically every other culture too! I’m certainly drawn to games with rich history, unique rules, and few pieces. Craps has all that as well as a powerfully simple game mechanic. There’s a good reason it exists everywhere. Dice are the original Italian cards and I’ll be doing the top 10 dice games over the next series of videos. I hope you enjoy them! Thanks for watching.

      Absolutely agree about gaming history being important. Every culture in history has had some kind of gaming, and it's interesting when you see the same things evolve independently in multiple places and in modern and ancient times (like dice or race games). There's something universal about it. I see games as integral to culture, like visual arts, music or dance. Keep up the good work!

    Excellent video related to Craps - Street Dice.
    It'd be fantastic a "sequel" of this one; related to side bets that are made by people watching the game.
    If I´m not mistaken there's another gambling dice game called CEE LO which is played on the streets too.
    Regards.

    • @Play-In-Games

      Possibly, I do have to say that Craps did a great job of making Hazard less confusing and it’s fairly clear why Craps over took it as the best street dice game out there. Hazard is quite important for its historical impact, though.

    so u can roll the dice how many times u want until u get your number or a 7?

    • @Play-In-Games
      @Play-In-Games  Місяць тому

      Yes, after the “come out roll” you have to roll dice until you roll your set point number (to win as the roller) or a 7 which is a loss for the roller

    Hi, can you tell me
    how to play this game with more players ? 3-4-6 players ?

    • @Play-In-Games
      @Play-In-Games  10 місяців тому +1

      Sure, additional players choose to side bet. They must bet against another player. One chooses to bet with the shooter and one against. There are many other side bets but that’s a whole bigger story. If either of the main players choose to stop playing another player can ask to play and they must add their money.

      Say i am a spectator and you roll a 4 i wanna bet you won't get that 4 but will instead roll a 7 and lose. You can then also take that bet.

    where do the new pairs of shoes come in?

    • @Play-In-Games
      @Play-In-Games  Рік тому +2

      Great question! I actually did research that but edited it out for time… but since you asked: The earliest known mention of the phrase "Come on mama, baby needs a new pair of shoes" in print is in a St. Paul, Minnesota, newspaper in 1890. The article, which was titled "The Game of Craps," describes the rules of the game and some of the common superstitions associated with it. One of these superstitions is that a gambler who calls out "Come on mama, baby needs a new pair of shoes" before rolling the dice is more likely to win. It was a game played in low income areas (according to the article) so people might have actually used the earnings to buy essentials such as new shoes. Source: the St. Paul Daily Globe. The article, which was titled "The Game of Craps," was published on January 2, 1890. History!

      Either can suggest the bet amount though usually the shooter sets it.

  • @Archvil1

    What about the side bet?

    • @Play-In-Games
      @Play-In-Games  4 місяці тому

      Side betting. Even though only 2 players go head to head, side bets are possible for others who want to get in on the action.
      Here are some of those side bets.
      Pass Line Bet: A wager made on the come out roll in which you are betting that the shooter will make the point.
      Place bet: A bet that a particular number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) will be rolled before a 7 is rolled.
      Pass Line Bet - the most common bet in craps. The player wins even money if the shooter rolls a 7 or 11 on the first roll, or if the shooter rolls the point number before rolling a 7. The player loses if the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12 on the first roll, or if the shooter rolls a 7 before rolling the point number.
      Don't Pass Line Bet - the opposite of the pass line bet. The player wins if the shooter rolls a 2 or 3 on the first roll, or if the shooter rolls a 7 before rolling the point number. The player loses if the shooter rolls a 7 or 11 on the first roll, or if the shooter rolls the point number before rolling a 7.
      Come Bet - similar to the pass line bet, but can only be made after the point number has been established. The player wins even money if the shooter rolls a 7 or 11 after the come bet, and loses if the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12. If any other number is rolled, that number becomes the come point, and the player wins if the come point is rolled before a 7.
      Don't Come Bet - the opposite of the come bet. The player wins if the shooter rolls a 2 or 3 after the don't come bet, and loses if the shooter rolls a 7 or 11. If any other number is rolled, that number becomes the don't come point, and the player wins if a 7 is rolled before the don't come point.
      A lot of games also have side betting that
      Tips:
      Stick to pass line bets and come bets to increase your chances of winning.
      Avoid proposition bets, as they have a high house edge.
      Remember that craps is a game of chance, so don't rely on any betting system or strategy to guarantee a win.
