They got it wrong on what a triple play is. A triple play is when you get 3 outs on the same play. Hitting a home run with the bases loaded is called a grand slam
Several stadiums have breweries these days, not just in Texas to be fair. And I'm not kidding, if you think that 3-foot-long hot dog is insane, there's one at a stadium in Buffalo I think (I know it's in Upstate NY) that has a 5 foot long lol Like, HOW?? lol
There's also a bar down the left field line at ground level. You can sit there and have drinks while watching out of netted windows and the field is basically eye level. Super cool I wish I could attach a picture in this comment. Also funnily enough, when Josh says it feels like the music is playing out my emotion right now and he exclaims "America, damnit we love you!" 11:45 the song that is playing is "God Bless America" and the lyrics in that exact moment are "God Bless America, my home, sweet home." Also, their take on a triple play was a pretty good guess, but it's actually when one team gets three outs in a single defensive play. So if there's 2 runners on base, 1 on first and the other on second, and the batter hits the ball let's say to short stop and all three runners get thrown out at their respective bases it is a triple play, thus ending that half of the inning.
Birria quesadillas are dipped in consomé which is the broth the birria (the meat) was slow cooked in for hours. You haven’t lived until your eaten birria tacos or birria quesadillas 🤤
I just love this video all around. First because I'm a big baseball fan (albeit a Boston fan), and there's just nothing like a day out at the ballpark enjoying some ballpark food. And second because of the family element in a reaction like this. Especially at the end with Garin talking about buying Christmas presents. Both Garin and Lea have been raised right and it's wonderful to watch.
The bar-b-que sauce they put on the brisket sandwich was Sweet Baby Ray's sauce, which is my go to sauce if I'm out of my own homemade bar-b-que sauce. I'm a season ticket holder for the Durham Bulls (yes, the same team from the movie) and we have beer bats there also and we have an onsight brewery at the stadium as well along with a wide variety of foods from bar-b-que to asian. 🤙✌️
The Sweet n Spicy SBR sauce is SO good. I use it to marinate my chicken leg quarters and then bake them in the oven. It comes out so juicy and just the perfect amount of the BBQ sauce gets into the meat so it's kind of sweet n spicy, but the skin is incredible when I crisp it up. Yeah, SBR is one of the better sauces from the "mass produced" stuff. Of course you can get way, way better sauces. But you can't go wrong with SBR.
Funny story, for a long time when I was little, I always thought Whataburger was called water burger. I just thought "whata" was slang or something for water and I did not think that Whataburger was actually what-a-burger lol. I grew up in Texas since I was 4 years old, and always thought who would want to eat a burger made of water, or maybe the burgers are so juicy it was like eating water on a burger. Anyways, I felt stupid until I got a bit older and actually looked at the name closer for it to finally hit me. It was like an "ooohhhhh" moment with some feelings of stupidity mixed in lol.
bull tongue is called Lengua in Mexican & its usually cut up & boiled with tomatoes & onions & garlic then eaten as soup or tacos & burritos....you'll find it more in the states bordering Mexico
Soggy nachos turn into what are called "Chilaquiles" in Mexico which is basically fried tortilla chips usually mixed with eggs and either green or red chili sauce and cheese of your choice. Chilaquiles are more of a morning breakfast food in Mexico and not usually for dinner. I guess you can say soggy nachos are a bit similar to Chilaquiles but not quite. Nachos are a Mexican food that are extremely famous in the United States and several other countries around the world.
Wet or as you call them soggy nacho chips are just as good because, in a sense, they are returning to their original form, a tortilla, just with cheese melted on it.
The chip getting soggy is the best part of nachos, still needs to be separation though, can't just be a bowl of mush. To keep it realistic the ballparks also have that crappy version of stuff if you try to go cheap.
One of the best things about this video is they don’t focus on the baseball game at all! Just the food. It’s the best part of any baseball game. Great reaction!
The reason newer ballparks are so open is that the fans can still see the game from the food court and a lot of folks will eat and watch the game from that area.
So many stadiums around the US are now big-time foodie spots. Like, legit restaurant high end quality stuff (well, some of them lol) where you can get insane things like a 3-foot-long hot dog or Texas BBQ etc. I forget which stadium in NYC (it might be Yankee stadium, not sure actually) but it apparently has some of the best food you'll find in a stadium hands down. A friend of mine who still lives in Brooklyn NY where I used to live recently went there in September and couldn't stop raving about the food. Legitimately had authentic Chinese food (dry Hong Kong beef noodles aka chow fun with Sichuan peppercorns everywhere, and amazing dim sum) and some of the best pastrami he's ever had and me and him have both had Katz's and all the other great Jewish deli's in the city etc. The stadium in Kansas City has amazing stuff, as does the stadium for the LA Dodgers and the Marlins down here in Florida. It's amazing how all in on quality foods they went and how good it is - but be warned - it's not cheap. At. All. lol Plus, many of these stadiums offer local stuff, like the famous garbage plate or some other such thing. So, you'll find great food and great local spots inside too - and some of these places are big on the whole local farm to plate idea which is terrific.
I live ten minutes from Globe Life park. It has a retractable roof, not only to prevent rain outs but also to keep fans and players cool during the Texas summers.
The stadium that the Texas Rangers play at, shown in this video, was opened in 2020. But since the chaos happened, nobody could go into the stadium the year it opened up. That was until the Rangers made it into the MLB Playoffs that same year. Even then, limited capacity. It's a retractable roof. In fact, only 1 stadium is a dome, and that's the Tampa Bay Rays stadium. 7 MLB teams have retractable roofs, including the Rangers.
The lines were probably much shorter because the game was already in full swing (no pun intended) when they started filming. Trust, the lines are longest upon arrival, and in half times during sports games.
Great video! Ballpark food has gotten much better over the years. When I lived in SE Texas(I now live between San Antonio & New Braunfesl), I went to the Houston Astros & Oilers games at the Astrodome. Dome dogs(hot dogs) were one of the best foods they served back then. Now, stadium food is almost as good as a sit-down restaurant. I really enjoy watching your videos. Keep-up the good work. 👍🌭🍔🍕
Many many stadiums now offer literal restaurants inside, and have actual stands where you can get incredibly good food. It's also incredibly expensive, but you know, stadiums lol I find the best way to explain stadium food these days, it's basically an American version of a hawker place like in Thailand or Indonesia etc. but with way more expensive options and insane sizes.
What’s really good for chips, get the plain, original lays potato chips, and put plain, American yellow mustard on them, works best with the small bags from the variety pack. Put some mustard in, pinch the top shut and shake until they are covered, doesn’t take long. And is so good.
The Texas Rangers play at Globe Life Field. Yes, it does have a retractable roof. It's actually a multi-use facility for Baseball, Football, rodeos, concerts, etc.
Moreover, being in Texas, where it is regularly ~105f outside in July(~120f on the mound) they HAD to build an indoor stadium for the A/C so they could finally buy some pitching.
Wasn't that the roof that got stuck or broke down while closing and there was a nasty thunderstorm and the field (and I assume seating areas) just got drenched so bad they had to delay the game until the next day or something?
In other words, you make beef jerky. It’s been a while since I’ve made it. Most of the time I use only three ingredients. At the request of a coworker, I have made beef jerky with wasabi, red pepper flakes, barbecue sauce, and hot wing sauce. These were all separate batches. I didn’t mix all these ingredients together. It was the same coworker who inspired me to do beef jerky to begin with. I had a dehydrated for a long time and mentioned dehydrating fruits such as bananas, pineapple, apples, and mangoes. He asked have I ever done beef jerky. At the time I hadn’t and never thought about it but one day I just threw some ingredients together, not knowing what I was doing. It was OK, but after several tries over a few months, I finally got it to where I will say it’s perfected. Since he like hot stuff, that’s why I made a batch with wasabi and another one with red pepper flakes just for him. I bet the one you have taste really good with that brisket seasoning.
Anything can go into a quesadilla you can make it a pizza quesadilla you can put chicken vegetables with herbs and sauces. You name it. It can go in a quesadilla. The bread is a tortilla
Yall should watch all of Jolly's videos on this road trip Tennessee & South Carolina has the best video's. You'll see all the different type of Southern bbq
"Hey" from the Tampa Bay area of Florida, USA. Hope y'all doing well. Enjoy watching ya reaction videos. Nice to see a family enjoying a new experience together. Well done ! Have fun and be safe. :)
The 3-foot hot dog is for sharing or eating in potions. Josh and Ollie are being ridiculous by trying to hold the entire hotdogs. They always put too much sauce on the food before sampling with a small amount then they complain that the food is too hot or "over-spiced." 🙄
The beard looks great! Whenever my Dad would eat he would always get stuff in his beard....and when we would tell him to wipe his face he used to tell me that he was saving all those goodies in his beard for later.😂 I miss him a lot. I know he would have loved your channel.
Worchester sure you are at Jersey Church arch, Worcester, Jen Work’s charger charger. I don’t think I said it right once ones that George or George or Stewart jerk jerk sauce Worcestershire sauce lol
I went to go get dinner...and some guys broke out into a baseball game! We have 5 HIGH SCHOOL Football stadiums in Texas that cost $58-$129 Million dollars to build...and they have the same quality food! Because that's how we get down!
Jono, I thought you were saying bull tongue, instead of biltong (several people in the thread are calling it that). Maybe it’s made from beef tongue? Please show us how to make it. Great video y’all. ♥️ from Houston, Texas 🇺🇸🇸🇰🇿🇦
Idk the new one is quite a bit easier to get around. The old one feels like home, but this one is just super nice. I moved away from Texas 8 years ago and moved back at the beginning of the year. Got to go to a game a few months ago and it was amazing! I was awe struck! I feel like the parking was FAR better at the old stadium though.
the smart thing to do with the hot dog would of been to cut it into 6 to 7 inches and then eat it, not picking it all up and run the risk of dropping it or it breaking and wind up on the floor. they ack like because it's that long that you have to eat it the way it is. not.
I love biltong. I haven't had it since I was a little girl living in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. If you like jerky, you'd like biltong. Please show us how you make it and post your recipe. My cousin makes awesome beef and venison jerky and I know he would like biltong.
Jono when you were talking about your possible video I thought you said bull tounge. Please make one and also cover the ways to prevent the hoof and mouth disease from transferring to the meats. The beard looks great .I'd take just a little off from where it is now and not go Rumpelstiltskin length again
Fun to see what surprised you guys. Last time I was at that park the roof was open which somehow feels smaller than when it's closed. BTW, always grab a fork for the BBQ nachos because they actually stay good even when soggy. (I'm still mad that they aren't available at Stars games anymore) I get them with a mango margarita and just sit back for a perfect evening.
When you go to a game you can ask them to put all the nacho toppings in the corner instead of on top, that way they don’t get soggy and you just dip it.
I often hear you say you’re sorry for talking too much … STOP THAT! I personally watch you all because I love your family and how you’re doing this as a family. I can watch every video you watch on my own but I don’t often because I love hearing your perspectives. And i love that your kids are so excited about things and I’m totally into hearing your little stories. I subscribe for a reason!
Almost everyone thought he was saying beef tongue, but I found out from someone else that he was saying biltong which sounds like beef jerky when I looked at the description.
He could have brought that hot dog back and they would have given him a new one at no charge. That’s just part of American business culture. Plus, these food concessions make a fortune, so giving away one hot dog isn’t going to hurt them.
1:05 Let's be real, America is essentially the whole world. I say that as a dirty foreigner on the outside looking in. That said I would pay money to watch some team from Bristol, England, or Cairo, Egypt, or Vienna, Austria or wherever try to seriously compete against one of these real pro teams.
Don't like soft nacho chips...try Queso Dip. Similar stuff but you dip your chips. Show us your Biltong recipe. All I know is it is some type of dried meat. Americans love jerky. Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce is in Europe. It is a sweeter BBQ Sauce and has a hint of hot peppers. I could take a bath in that stuff.
What is bull tongue? I mean I know the literal meaning but is it like beef jerky? I'm from the South so I've eaten what you might consider unappetizing. To me it's a tasty snack.
@bluflaam777LSA oxtails used to be a cheap form of meat but now it’s in high demand and the price is ridiculous. I’ve just learned today that the demand spited during Covid. I’m planning on having oxtails for Christmas.
It is hilarious Kat doesn't appreciate you saying she is capable of eating 3 kg of bull tongue in a couple of days. It is lean meat. She won't get fat!
They got it wrong on what a triple play is. A triple play is when you get 3 outs on the same play. Hitting a home run with the bases loaded is called a grand slam
Yes please do a video showing us the biltong process!
😂 I thought it was bull tongue!
There also a Brewery in the stadium....we don't play around in Texas...with anything....
Several stadiums have breweries these days, not just in Texas to be fair. And I'm not kidding, if you think that 3-foot-long hot dog is insane, there's one at a stadium in Buffalo I think (I know it's in Upstate NY) that has a 5 foot long lol Like, HOW?? lol

The three foot hotdog is for cutting up and sharing.
My Grandkids call it "wash your sister sauce" LOL but it does make everything taste better! I look forward to seeing Biltong made!

In Georgia, you can get nachos 'train wreck' style where the chips are served separate from the toppings. topping become the dip.

you guys were my #1 most viewed channel on my UA-cam rewind this year! Absolutely love yall and hope yall are doing great!
❤❤❤❤ biltong...my fav...use to get it by the lb
No hugely long cues at ballparks in America because there're loads of food choices, something for everybody!

I commend you for being willing to share your recipe for your biltong. I do not share my recipe for my beef jerky. Some of us are like that. 😆
The dipping "gravy" is just the juices that come out of the meat while it's cooking.
In other words, you make beef jerky. It’s been a while since I’ve made it. Most of the time I use only three ingredients.

My daughter's high school graduation was held there. Prom too. It's a really neat venue!
Jono do the BBQ bull toung! 🤟🇺🇸 Merry Christmas 🎄 to you and family 🎆
It’s biltong
They play music in between innings and batters
For the record, the Dodgers were the most recent MLB champs
Yes please !! Billatong please !! GuyR, northeast Texas.
Jono and Kat have taught Garin to be a fine young man. You have such a wonderful family! Also, Lea you are a sweetheart.
Anything can go into a quesadilla you can make it a pizza quesadilla you can put chicken vegetables with herbs and sauces. You name it. It can go in a quesadilla. The bread is a tortilla

Have fun and be safe. :)
I have never seen a 3 foot hot dog, but my guess would be is that you would cut it into at least four pieces
You should do a video of the best food from each stadium in the US. Regional foods
Ballpark in Texas is best indoors because....heat. The old park was outdoors and could be pretty miserable in July and August.
The 3-foot hot dog is for sharing or eating in potions. Josh and Ollie are being ridiculous by trying to hold the entire hotdogs. They always put too much sauce on the food before sampling with a small amount then they complain that the food is too hot or "over-spiced." 🙄

It’s nice sitting at that ballpark in the middle of summer.
Love the old ballpark better though.
In Mexican cuisine it’s called Lengue. It’s delicious.
Maybe you should try doing a video of combining Texan and South African barbeque.
the smart thing to do with the hot dog would of been to cut it into 6 to 7 inches and then eat it, not picking it all up and run the risk of dropping it or it breaking and wind up on the floor. they ack like because it's that long that you have to eat it the way it is. not.
The beard looks good my man!
Is your biltong beef?? My brother makes it using deer during the hunting season!! Nachos work better with some extra chips on the side...
America is definitely different!
We Demand a Biltong Receipt and Video!. And we want it NOW!
PS. Love you guys
I love biltong. I haven't had it since I was a little girl living in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. If you like jerky, you'd like biltong. Please show us how you make it and post your recipe. My cousin makes awesome beef and venison jerky and I know he would like biltong.
Yes we are chunky, but we have fun😁
Sweet Baby Ray's is the best BBQ sauce commercially made (and I live in Texas).
Jono when you were talking about your possible video I thought you said bull tounge. Please make one and also cover the ways to prevent the hoof and mouth disease from transferring to the meats. The beard looks great .I'd take just a little off from where it is now and not go Rumpelstiltskin length again
Birra sauce is like beef soup
Fun to see what surprised you guys. Last time I was at that park the roof was open which somehow feels smaller than when it's closed.
BTW, always grab a fork for the BBQ nachos because they actually stay good even when soggy. (I'm still mad that they aren't available at Stars games anymore) I get them with a mango margarita and just sit back for a perfect evening.

If you don't know, he is saying "Biltong" - not Bull Tongue. Biltong is a famous South African Treat made of premium meat Not a male cow's tongue).
Thank God… Thanks for the clarification
I initially thought he was saying bull tongue too. I actually made the comment saying that we call it beef tongue
SA jerky! Yes, please. 🤤🤟🏼❤️🔥🤟🏼🇺🇸🇵🇷
Love biltong and boerswoors. SA is in da house!
We 100% need a biltong video
You might be surprised to know that tongue sandwiches are popular at Kosher Delis in New York City.
Almost everyone thought he was saying beef tongue, but I found out from someone else that he was saying biltong which sounds like beef jerky when I looked at the description.
They probably have about $200 worth of food there!!! LOL
I vote a big old YES on the biltong video
Hard disagree on the nachos my friend. Soggy nachos are amazing as long as you’ve got enough toppings on them.
The stadium food court should have cut that hot dog in like 4 pieces…that’s ridiculous. Leave it to Texas, sometimes bigger is not better
Home is in the USA Graham's. Come home!
Can't believe they left out Alabama and Georgia !!
Visit Texas when you can, expect to experience plenty of air conditioning!
That's what approximately $1.2 billion will buy you...
Well we won’t sell bad food at a game
Just think how much money they just spent! I bet they spent almost $200.

It’s beef jerky
