While I can understand Ben prefers shooting with spherical lenses, he did a great job shooting with the Panavision G-Series Anamorphics on Those Who Wish Me Dead

great video as always! I already said it but I'd love to see an episode about Łukasz Żal (great work with Pawlikowski and the last kaufman!)

I love hearing about what artists who come from animation to live-action and vice-versa bring to the table. For instance, the great Kunihiko Ikuhara initially planned to be a live-action surrealist before seeing 'The Belladonna of Sadness' diverted his path. The director of 'Amelie' was in cartooning before doing movies like 'Delicatessen'. Great art always comes from another dimension. Thanks for your in-depth exploration. ^^ Dropping you a like!

I would love to see a video on Jamie Ramsey, his work on Living, She Will, and See How They Run has been both consistently beautiful and uniquely varied in style. His upcoming work on All Of Us Strangers looks phenomenal as well, with a beautiful subtle blend of dreamlike and naturalistic.

He reminds me of Deakins, the way he lights.

Thank you! Lovely insights! One question: The mentioned prime lenses focal length were used on super35 sensors so need a 1.5 multiplier for full frame equivalent?
