Awesome to see another philly area farmer! And amazing to see someone actively bringing the black community back into food production, healing generational trauma, and steering agriculture in a positive direction. Even that aside, the goal to just involve our local communities in our work and make an impact in their life through food is very inspiring for young farmers who are trying to usher in this next iteration of community oriented agriculture.
Man, she is awesome !! Aggressive entrepreneur love the story. I do as well operate a small farm. I myself am trying to find something to minimize food waste and a value-added product myself very well said. Tho the chickens do love all the extra lol
1:07:50- I would love to see this drilled down on/ expanded upon. I agree that we could be doing much more within the community garden model to make it more productive for the community, besides being a hobby for the retirement community
I’m a farmer market farming in Philly. I don’t think you can change the perspective of the upper class, consumer from my experience. They’re too stubborn and stuck up to change their life because their consumption pleasures them way too much. It’s not stopping me from trying but every Sunday when I come home from Market, I feel very discouraged by how unaware everyone is.
I know who my award winning farmer is ✨️#PhillyJawn. Great message, especially the awareness of how being outside has been traumatic for Black and Brown people. 👏🏽👏🏽

Excellent episode. Lol. I'm from Jersey so I understood the name immediately. Love it. I will certainly be reaching out to Christa in the near future.
