Hello from NZ. Great ride and commentary really enjoyed it. I have a new Super meteor it arrived 2day this morning and I get to pick it up early next week, can't wait. ✌
I really like what Royal Enfield is doing, how they are rebuilding what was a great brand. They are making great bikes at some very afordable prices. 😁
You will like the small one too.. Besides the 20 hp power, but it is enough, like with Dani. p.s. The Sup. Met. has heel-toe shifter like with the small meteor, I like it very much.
Thank you, going to test ride events means I can take a bike out for 30 minutes without the manufacturer even knowing I'm filming. It means I can say what ever I want and nobody gets mad =))))))))))
@@RideWithAlex you know i bought a superlight keeway 125 in june 2023 just to learn .. last november i sold it to buy SM650 .. you know what ? SM seems a rocket to me coming from 125… the sm Engine make me feel the danger while accelerating because i’m not used to such power .. imagine buying it as a first bike … so in my case (i hate accident) was the best choice..
Thank you for riding the Super Meteor 650 like it is suppose to be ridden... cruising. Many other videos have people trying to ride it like a sport bike, which it is not. I've been debating on buying one of three bikes, the Triumph Speed Twin 900 Chrome, Kawasaki Vulcan S and the Celestial blue Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. The Triupmh would cost me nearly $13,000 once I paid all the fees and options I want. The Kawasaki revs at 6000rpm at 60 mph which is way too buzzy. So the Super Meteor 650 is the one I'm most likely to buy due to it's relaxed rpm at highway speeds. A couple things I don't understand about all these videos and it might be because I'm old and have been riding since 1964. The vidios always show people putting gloves on, sometimes two or three times during the video. The only time I ever wear gloves is when the temperature is less than 60 degree (F). The other thing I don't understand it why do these videos always show times when the rider is riding with his hands off the bars. Any motorcyclist can do this, but why?
Usually hands of the bars is to show the stability of the motorcycle and to gesticulate while talking for the camera and about gloves I have riden only with gloves, it feels un natural for me to ride without gloves. And if you want a relaxed bike for cruising the meteor is the way to go.
Hey Alex! How you doing? I just saw my first Super Meteor in the showroom for the first time and amazing as I thought it would be! (Have followed its journey on line) Also sat on a Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 and strangly felt more comfortable. Natural 🤔 But love Royal Enfield more for style. Have you reviewed the Kawasaki Vulcan 650 S? I would wonder what you would choose between the two? Both competitors from different directions... currently trying to organise time to ride both...
@@RideWithAlex Am gonna test ride the new Himmy when its out, maybe get the Meteor as a second bike. (Runs off to sell kidney). P.s Just about to try some adv riding.
Salut, bun review!
It always amazes me that some people keep expecting a pack mule to function like a race horse. Some motorcycles are pack mules, and others are race horses. By the way, I’ve turned motorcycles that weren’t race bikes, into cafe racers. ✌️🇺🇸🇷🇴✌️
You can work a bike to become whatever you want it to be. I'm just a bit disappointed in videos I see of people getting of a sport bike and on to something like this and calling it slow. Well, no body ever said it was fast and nobody ever intended for it to be fast. Different strokes for different folks
@@RideWithAlex I will be anxiously waiting to see it. I like it in red an black. A couple of side bags and a back pack and you can have a fabulous four day week-end. For a two week trip I would take my HD300 so I can store more stuff.
In final este alegerea fiecaruia.
Hi Alex I hope to seek your view. If you are 1.7m, which would you choose, Meteo 650 or Rebel 500? And help me with 5 comparison points (likes and dislikes). Thank you so much!
I would go for the meteor for the charm of that air cooled engine, sure it's not as sofisticated as the rebel engine but it ads another dimension to riding that in old school clasic engine sound and power delivery.
Not up to the job I'm afraid...too flat no get up and go...it won't get you out of a tight spot..hasn't got the guts..a 650 twin should give you 70bhp...
I’m in the US and can’t wait for this bike to arrive here. It’s supposed to be here in “summer of 2023” but still nobody has it yet.
Really? I thought it allready launched in the US.

I think you're going to love it. It's an awesome bike, Royal Enfield really hit a home run with this one.
It is that the Indians have created a category they want to dominate with this machine! Thank you for another great review!!

I did try the 350 it's the next video and yea I liked it and I did use the heal shifter :D
Great video! Real and honest!
This bike ticks so many boxes! I am in!

Mate, really looking forward to your full review. 🤞I love the Astral Black color. Such a beautiful bike.
@@Cj-nu7nx if I can get a bike for 1-2 days then I'll surely review it 😁
Excellent review! Seriously considering this as my first motorcycle
It would make a really good beginner bike.
@@RideWithAlexi think it’s too powerful and heavy for a beginner ..
@@aquilottoaquilotto8735 I think it's ok.

I have riden the vulcan a little bit and that engine is so boooooring. Between the two I would take the super meteor everytime.
Looked fun! Already thinking want to upgrade my Himalayan..
If you keep it on the tarmac it's a decent upgrade from the Himalayan

Laur.
Eu la 1.75 am stat foarte bine pe ea dar la inaltimea ta ar trebui sa te duci sa o testezi, sa vezi sa nu cumva sa fii prea înghesuit pe ea.
Is the super meteor 650 available in the US market?
As far as I know yes it is.

Another awesome video. Considering a candidate for my second bike. One candidate is the GK 350.
Saturday I'll have a video on the Meteor 350, that would make an awesome second weekend bike for relaxation.

I don't think this color variant is available in India. This one is super dark while in india its slightly greyish!!
