I have this exact model and commute on this in the uk in all weathers (mainly wind and rain) and am going to mention some things that dont get mentioned on other reviews. The meteor model has full size mudguards and if you fit the royal enfield sump guard the bike stays cleaner than most in the wet weather wich really suprised me, i thought the toe heel gearchange felt odd at first but now im used to it dont think i could go back to toe up shifting (you can where any footware you like, i tend to wear rugged walking boots which wouldnt have fitted under most gear levers because i have tried it in the past and it aint good). The position of the foot rests is forward which basically means when you put your feet down in slow moving traffic nothing digging into your shins or calfs because their forward of your legs. Add this to the low seat height then standstill and slow moving controll is excellent. Unlike smaller cc japanese bikes ive had in the past you dont spend all your time going up and down the gearbox. The torque of this engine allso allows for slipping the clutch for instance going into or coming out of wet corners, others bikes ive had of around the same engine size would shudder to a halt under the same conditions so i love the bike love the engine love the slick gearbox and hope ive mentioned something different about the meteor, ride safe people😊
Me too, need to spray it down and gt85 most of it as it's so exposed coz.of all the salt on the Rd in Scotland, but with heated grips and over trousers it's an all year commuter
Very nice video. I bought this exact 2024 model in the same color and my name is Alex too, lol. It is my first motorcycle , I am 55 and having a lot of fun cruising around in Cancun, Mexico in this beauty. It got the looks and plenty of power for the mexican roads. This bike is not about fast speed ,it's about the feel and the freedon of riding . It's light enough to move it around in traffic and fast enough to put a smile on your face on an open road. I simply love it !
The biggest mistake people who dont know these little 350 Enfields is. They think the quality will be low because they are cheap to buy. The casings and general build quality are as well made as many bikes and better than most . Touring? Ofcourse you can, it just takes longer to get there and gives you time to enjoy your surroundings. But the things these J series bikes have that is vary rare these days with modern Tupperware nondiscript clones Soul, character & honesty.
I have the same color and the same model. Bought this beauty in Dec last year. Perfect for Indian roads, and the feel is awesome. Super comfortable in long rides, awesome breaking system, perfect for those who like to feel the ride.
Very nice bike. Not only the bike itself is cheap but the equipment and accessors are many times cheaper then the premium brands. Full touring package with seat, windscreen, heated grips, crash bars, sump guard, back rest, proper original bags, large foot pegs for less then 1000€
Smooth sounding, quiet! Decent bike, but why is it Donnie seems more exciting to ride?! I mean, the wind on the windshield vibrating, being able to see the speedometer, all the perks you added, (heated grips, cup holder, iPhone mount, JBL, Cardo, etc.)! No room for all that stuff on the Enfield. Honestly, I’m sliding into the scooter camp for creature comforts. Honest & fair review. Best, Rola (Oregon / USA)
I loved the landscapes that you were glifing through, Royal Enfield bikes are for those who like to explore the scenery and ride comfortably. You get a sense of connection with the road and surrounding environment. No urgency required! I myself like laid-back cruisers than the scary KTMs 😂
It's a good bike for what it is. Throw a couple of saddlebags on it and a backpack on the back seat (if needed), it is a good, as you said, weekend bike that you can take on a three day trip. By the way, and this is just me, because I tend to be lazy I would consider and auto-blip...lol!
Perfection! Perfect bike for relaxing routes in the city and the suburbs! I would appreciate if anyone knows how a pillion passenger affects the homogeneity (handling, performance, maneuverability) of the machine...
Haven't tried it with a pillion. I think the main issue would be the weight and the effect it has on acceleration. Handling should be decent even with a pillion the frame seems pretty solid to me and able to handle extra weight.
Bit slower to accelerate with a passenger onboard but top speed, lugging ability and handling are not affected. Only problem is available space, I put extenders on the backrest that moved it back a couple of inches, more room for the passenger.
Nu cred. Mereu ma uit la review-uri cu Royal Enfield si cand am ajuns pe al tau... Hmmm drumurile astea par... familiare.. :)))))) Baaa asta e in Romania! Personal sunt interresat de un RE pentru prima motocicleta, mi se par atat de potrivite pentru drumurile noastre, ai idee ce locatii din Romania aduc RE Super Meteor 650 la noi? Mersi!
Is there a special technique for getting the bike on the center stand? I put my foot on it and pull and pull. Up, back, both at the same time, I just can't get it to hop up on that stand.
I love this motorcycle! I would love to buy one! BUT... It has too little power for the 350cc engine! Only 20HP? - That's just a little more than a 125cc motorbike. And like that's not enough, the worse part of it, is the price asked for it: more than 5000£/$/€ (with tax, etc.) 01:05 Where do you find this bike being sold at «about 4000»?? - Nowhere! Quit playing with serious facts.😆 With a bit more than 5000£ one can buy a 2nd hand Honda Rebel 500: which has the double of the HP, has a similar weight, similar fuel consumption (if not better due to Liquid Cooled engine), the typical Honda reliablity, etc. It sounds like Royal Enfield is trying to establish itself as a Premium Brand like a "Indian Harley Davidson" with last century's engine types: lots of CC, high Torque, but lacking in Horse Power. 16:32 I have to disagree with you, mate! This R.E. Meteor 350 is NOT CHEAP AT ALL - pretty much the opposite - it's quite an expensive motorcycle for what it has to offer in return. But i still love it!😅😇 Congratulations on your review!😉 Have a great week and ride safe!😎
I got mine Red Crome Clasic350 for 4200Eur on end of the year old stock sale. dec2022. +55eur regisstration and road tax +48eur OCTA ensurance 12month. Cheapest Honda 125 was 5300 so 😁
@@RideWithAlex yes indeed! In France, for some strange reason the classic is way more expensive (5390€) than the meteor (4890€) so if you just look at the price tag the imperiale (4690€) is in fact in the meteor range 🤔
Hello everyone I like this model and this color, but I doubt if it will be convenient for a height of 183 cm. Tell me, who has experience, is it convenient with such a height? Or which Royal Enfeld model should I choose for my height of 183 cm?

I haven't looked at the accessories but I also heard for Royal Enfield they are cheap. Probably with 5000 euro you can make a nice little tourer.
You need supernova versión not firebolt
More horse power only means you arrive at traffic lights earlier, less power means you take in the beautiful scenery and look cooler!
Well said.

Not really, same technique you use with all center stands.

Salut, Alex. Pentru o înălțime de 185 se pretează?
Hmmm, va trebuie sa mergi sa te asezi pe ea sa vezi cum stai, sa nu cumva sa fii înghesuit.
How is this bike for commutes to work compared to a scooter?
A scooter will always be more practical and easier to use, but if you must have a motorcycle for commuting then this is a very good option.
Where was this filmed?
Iasi - Romania
looks like the Benelli Imperiale is a bit faster than the meteor so it may be a good alternative for commuters IMHO.
