I followed your instructions on my golf 7.5 and even if I didn’t rise the car up I succeded in doing the change. Thank you so much for your tips!
Thank you so much for the instruction
You’re welcome 😊
Its not the car it's definitely their brackets but it's only off by a few. Not much. But I can say it looks beautiful on my white 2015 GTI. .
Be warned if you are doing this for the me 7.5 the side holes don’t line up properly and you will have to drill
Welcome to another ECS Easy DIY. Let's start by raising your car on the lift you obviously have at home.
We do them on the lift so we can easily show the installation. It's tough to get video gear set up at an angle that clearly shows what is being done while the car is on the ground. We offer a QuickJack system that is easy to use and setup: bit.ly/2UEBlqP
ANY Diffusor on Golfs are EASY DIY doable on the Ground you wont even need to lift the car just lay on the ground and unscrew the screws and get the Diffusor off and bring the new one on - its pretty much always the same thing and its always doable while the car just chills in the lot..
@@TheOfficialDuBsTeC lol, removing the two bolts on the side without raising the car is almost impossible.
@@champagnedrippy3942 really because I just did it on two cars in 5 mins
Sir I have one question I would like too doe the same to my Golf 7 TSI does this diffuser fit for the Golf 7 TSI
Muy buenos tus videos amigo saludos desde Uruguay 🇺🇾🇺🇾🌎🇺🇾🇺🇾
Works this Diffusor for 2013 MK7 GTI? In description of your site is 2015-2017
not only are the brackets off-centered, but the tabs lack the correct length to snap on to the bumper securely.
I had this same issue just now. The tabs are long enough, you just have to push them into the car really hard and they should snap right in. Only then is the fitment good
Thanks for the vid. Any tips on getting the plastics screws out? Mine just keep spinning
What are those rims you guys have installed on the car?
does this fit on the valance for the sportwagen?
still waiting on the gloss black front splitter for the 7.5
Would this fit on the mk6 gti
Unfortunately this will not, but we do have a gloss black version for the MK6 which can be found here: bit.ly/436OPds
Any plans to make one for the MK8 R?
We have a few things in the works for our MK8 Golf R 👀
now clean those tail pipes...Shiny new carbon fiber diffuser and dirty exhaust tips don't mix...
no close up look for the fitment. I'm skeptical
Any ecs in house product always have weird fitment and product quality
Will this fit the mk7.5?
ECS has very poor customer service. I would not order again. The diffuser they sent me didn’t fit and when checking whether they sent me the right one, emails did not get answered. I used their online chat service to get somewhere, where they then again said they’d answer in the email but never did. This is not customer service. Beautiful looking piece but if you can’t get proper service, it’s better to purchase somewhere else.
Good quality clear coat that will not yellow in 3 years?
Who needs clear coat anyways. For the weak.
If the offered in uncoated then maybe.
I would love that in the gloss black but not sure if I really want to spend the money haha
@What it is What it was the stock and this one aren’t the same style tho. Which is the point.
This would be different to the Audi A3 rear diffuser right, but similar?
100 percent different
But…can i get one for a mk7 1.8t? ):
I was hoping to see what the fitment looked like. There was no shot from the back of the car?????
click the link in the description, its got a bunch of photos.
Mk7.5 o mk7?
Will this fit the 2019 GTI Rabbit Edition?
I ordered the MK7.5 diffuser for my 2019 GTI Rabbit. I just installed it. Fits perfect!
Is there a 7.5 golf R carbon fiber version as well?
Not yet!
There is now, only it doesn’t fit so no, there still isn’t …
@@stephankaeser8939 I actually bought the CF diffuser a while back and yeah, I can attest to it not fitting without some tough love. Had to have a second pair of hands push it firmly while I guided the screws in underneath. Was worried it might crack under the stress but it's been on there for about half a year and it's been fine.
That’s good to know it will eventually fit. I’m going to file down the tabs to make them fit better. My main issue here is that the communication from ECS has been terrible.
Work with OE rear mud flaps?
Yes. It mounts the same way as the stock valance.
Where can I buy?
Link to both the black and carbon fiber diffuser is in the description!
Ur brackets aren’t a “smidge” off, they are off by like half a fuckin inch. Don’t try blaming it on the car lol
$500+.
Good job. I like when carbon parts cost $500.
Man I hate that too, atleast we aren’t like BMWs and other cars that cost like 1000 plus
Is the install pretty much the same for the golf R versions? My 7.5R one came today and it doesn’t have as many tabs across the top
Basically the same. There will be small variations from the GTI, but you will line up the tabs and the bolt holes then secure with provided hardware.
What about some love for the mk7 GLI?
Working on it,
