I am listening to Melba at the moment, She passed away at 86 today, listening to many of her hits!
Big Big Big Melba fan. I am 71 years old and I have listened to Melba all my life especially when she duets with George Jones
Her music will live long, rest in peace, condolences to the family..
I am 87 years old and LOVE to listen to Melba. I talked with her briefly in the early 1960s at a show at the East Point, Georgia City Auditorium
Love the backup band, some of the best Okie music money can buy.
Shes the best there is ... ever was !! I always want more of Miss Melbas singing.
Thx for this.
Woah woah woah … don’t talk bad about my Patsy. ;)
THIS IS REAL COUNTRY MUSIC...LIKE IT`S SUSPOSE TO BE
James, I first heard Melba on an LP duet with the Legend George Jones. Their voices seemed to be meant for such a combination. (The LP I heard was in the 1970s, here in the UK) These songs and performances from the late 50s to the mid 1980s will never be bettered by all those artists who have now passed on. Garth Brooks, one good hit, and swinging around from the bloody ceiling !!
I still search the net (at 80 years old) and find "new" to me songs by Melba, George, Mel Tillis, and all those great singers who just appeared on stage with a guitar, or mic., and did not need to make an appearance from the heights. Many thanks for your ownload.
Am 85, love Melba Montgomery. Her voice is clear. Thank you for sharing her songs with us older people.
Did you know Melba was a songwriter? She penned a few on this record, including We Must Have Been Out of Our Minds.
She's got a classic hillbilly voice too, like Jeanie Shepperd. I always appreciate that.
Thank you for this James. I am 71 also and you can't go wrong with a Melba Montgomery song.
Melba Montgomery reveals great talent as a songwriter.
Very nice songs,,I am enjoying it very much, Thank you for Sharing

Excelente !!
Lovely voice. Hardly known in the UK at all.Internet access excellent for finding similarly great singers.
Did she sing with a girl named Connie on Roy Acuff's "Open House"? Beautiful just beautiful
I do know that Melba was a "girl singer" with Roy Acuff's show before she went solo.
Kitty Wells.
