I’m new to the channel and I’m thoroughly enjoying it, thanks Dave. It’s a few days before practice week 2023, my only wish is for everyone to stay safe 🙏
I’ve been around the island on board with Joey, Hizzy and Mccallen in the 90s, Rutter, Martin and McPint in the Naughties and recently Hicky, Hutchie and Dunlop in the two thousand teens but I can honestly hand on heart say this is the best most informative and real lap I’ve ever done. The sensation of love for the course and the island itself is genuinely tangible. Thank you Dave. That was f**kin brilliant! Stay safe. Shiny side up Rubber side down.
Went to the TT for the first time ever for race week this year, and to top it off volunteered to be a marshal for the senior for the first bit of Sector 2. Had an absolute wicked time, marred by the unfortunate incidents this year. Whilst there, and now back at home I have been non stop watching You Tube vids of the racing, and personal diaries like yours. Absolute mint, as others have said the presentation, enthusiasm and passion is fantastic. Been trawling your back catalogue now, very enjoyable. Keep it sunny side up.
Great Video Dave ! The fast downhill bit before Greeba used to be called the Highlander after the pub on the right which closed years ago. Used to be a speed trap there. Also agree about the right hander at the end of Cronk Y Voddy. Most impressive thru there was Bruce Ansty on 250 Yam at the classic TT few years ago. Didn't go thru the "O" he was always between the "S" and the side of the road ! Absolutely flat , never lifted, head under the screen, never twitched, never moved a muscle
Watching this a year on I think this is my favourite of your videos Dave, your explanation of the Cronk y voddy section was just sublime and really proves how addictive the whole event is. Watched and filmed you coming around signpost corner this year (2023) on your last lap of the supertwins. Didn’t realize at the time but a bit poignant looking back at it now. Cheers from Alberta Canada.
Brilliant video thanks for sharing it with us from Northern Ireland,, but have a great fortnight ahead and do well and enjoy your racing,, ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️and glad you got the fairies on your side 👍👍👍👍
Loved the video Dave I was over there myself last weekend taking the bike and am back there this Friday till Wednesday of race week. Went to Murrys motorcycle museum and had a good chat with Mr Murry and did a few laps of the mountain but the weather wasn't the best. Hope to see you in the paddock and best of luck with the racing.
Wishing you all the best for the upcoming races. Next year I have to visit the TT for sure. Hope you have a successfull TT week. The more you watch and read about the TT you realize that the participants spend mostly a lot of time to gain track knowledge. Knowing the track seems to be the key to fast lap times.
Good luck at the TT this year Dave. sadly I can't make it this year to watch in person so I'll be keeping an eye on your timings on the new app. I'm gutted to be missing out on the atmosphere / racing and merch which the wife loves but next year I'll be there
3:28 I am still at my camp so decided to come back and view this vid now that I’ve been on the island. I really loved the part about greeba a year ago when watching it but didn’t realise that’s where i am camped until rewatching it now 😅 im sitting just past the spot you recorded at and watched the supersports and sidecars from here on Wednesday. Felt safe with the bikes whipping past but just at the tiny crest at the left turn the sidecars looked like one wrong twitch and they would plow into us. Said hi to you in the paddock on Saturday but forget to say i love the channel! All the best wavey 👋🏼
Yes Dave this is confirmation that you are 100% barking, talking to fairies, (ooer missus) and a track that is shall we say different, joking aside good luck for the TT and stay safe, great video 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great video, nice to see parts of the track from a different point of view. Good luck for the TT, hope the weather holds. Are you competing in all the classes? Well, apart from the sidecar, unless you take that Russian one you did the video on 😂
What an insight, I’m clearly not made of the stuff your made of!
Thank you

Glad you enjoyed it, easy to be enthusiastic about that little lump of rock
Of all TT video’s I saw, this one is the best. Love your passion for it and your humor. Enjoy and keep safe when racing it. Cheers.

Was at the creg when anstie parked his 500 for a pint, we were all over it, he is still one of my favourite riders, bless him.
Great video 👍👀👍🇮🇲🖐 thank you and many greetings to IOM 🇮🇲🏍 Ljubo 🏍

Thanks for watching, and your kind words. It's hard to shake off the addiction, even when you know it's time

If you don't learn it properly, you'll either be slow or in hospital!!
Cheers Dave..from Dave in sunny Norfolk 👍
Brilliant video love Dave's understated manner wish all presenters were like this would make the subject the focus rather than presenter
Dave really enjoyed this learnt some new stuff as well looking forward to lots of IOM content when your racing good luck and stay safe

fantastic dave, thanks for that. all the best over there mate. cheers.
Hope Dave has a heavy duty kettle. I think he's gonna get a lot of visitors due to his fantastic videos 👌🇮🇲🏍🏁
Top job Wavey!
Awesome video!
Nicely done!
Best of luck Dave I’m hoping to be watching at the end of cronk ya voddy straight up on the bank 🤞🤞🤞🤞
You're a smashing human being.
Have a great time at the TT.
Great content as always
Best of luck for the TT Dave 👍
May the fairys be with you!

Brilliant mate
Best of luck to you at this year's TT Dave. Great video by the way. Do we still call them videos??
Enjoyed the vid. A map of the course embedded in the frame would be great for context.
Tuono's are Awesome!
brilliant ! 😀
Hi Dave what numbers are you running again at the TT again so I can cheer you on (or give you the finger one or the two 🤣)
52 on the BMW (though that'll change for the races)
36 on the twin
Great videos Dave, see you next week
Great video, nice to see parts of the track from a different point of view. Good luck for the TT, hope the weather holds. Are you competing in all the classes? Well, apart from the sidecar, unless you take that Russian one you did the video on 😂
Superbike, senior and superstock ony bmw and the lightweight race on the 660 aprilia. No supersport this time though
Heck yeah... Gen 2 Tuono!
nice coverage of the course, but your teaser on the ladies volleyball was cruel, i will have to use my powerful mental imaging app;)
It's worth the effort!!
when i looked it cost £290 odd pound from heysham to douglas
Getting over before TT was definitely cheaper!
go well 👍
Jealous enjoy the ride race safe
Governors is the run down and the knook is the horseshoe under the trees, come on Dave thought you knew the track 😂😂😂
I'm right, you're wrong 🤣
Even Gary knows that
4:39 - was that a rat that ran across the road then?? Just in front of that car?
I think it’s the shadow of a bird flying over the road
@@TumzDK I think you're right. When I thought about it later, I wondered if it was a plane or helicopter, but a bird makes loads more sense.
And they've not called rats on the Isle of man, they're long tails!!
It was one of those faireys that are looking after Wavey
@@LemonDrizzleGang Erm we don't need to know about his private life, salacious as it sounds from that singular detail.
