I feel you on the "a witch lives here" home aesthetic. As an apartment dweller soon house hunting, I've spent so much time mentally building the perfect yard. I've imagined the gardens and the chickens and the greenhouse and the wild plants that make my neighbors judge me, and I've come to the conclusion that my ideal yard is the one that those manicured-lawn-loving neighbors consider an eyesore, but whose children walk by wide-eyed, convinced it is filled with magic and fair folk. (My real ideal home will be an intentional community, ideally surrounded by as many acres of wilderness as possible, but that's a farther future than this one.)
'I want people to walk in and be like "A witch lives here" ' One of your best quotes and definitely goals! I don't know why, but this year something sparked my interest in Scandinavia. Funny that now you, my favorite content creator, mentioned your interest in Norway. If you were to travel there, it would be amazing to follow you along! Again, thank you for this video and sharing more about yourself with us ❤
I love these informal "chatty" videos, Annie! You mentioned that you fall back on your spirituality when you are feeling low. Would love to see a video on some easy practices that are good for times of stress, emotional lowness, or ill health. I also struggle with chronic illness and sometimes I don't have the energy for much.
Norway is truly magnificent. I lived in Sweden for a while but fell in love with northern Norway during a brief visit, for some reason I can't explain, and had a dream of moving there one day.
I was born in Norway to my American soldier father and Norwegian/Swedish mother and raised in the U.S. Norway is majestic! I love your channels. They bring me joy and serenity. I've been practicing for 30 years and happy that I keep learning.
I loved seeing your face light up as you talked about your dream house! Your ideas sound so wonderful! It was great too hearing about your Scandinavian heritage and your interest in clothing from the 19th century and Edwardian eras. I love these things too! 💖
Jackson Crawford's voice is so relaxing! I listened to that same translation on audible and I'm pretty sure I slipped into a meditative state a few times.
I've recently done the opposite of what you'd like to do: I moved back to Virginia after a few years in Alaska. I miss thinking that 82° was a hot summer day. I cross the James River every day on the way to the farm and I'm always tempted to go jump in it rather than toil in the heat. Still, every place has its charms.
You are very welcome to come to Northern Norway! I love living here with thr midnight sun, northern lights and dramatic weather. A hot cup of chocolate while stargazing in the middle of a crispy, -25 degrees celcius winter night is one of my favorite activities. Especially when the moon is at its brightest.
I wish I had known about your Norse heritage before! There are two other UA-cam channel you should at the very least check out! Freyia Norling who is a modern day Volva (Shamanic Norse Witch), and Arith Härger who is an Icelandic archaeologist well learned in the spiritual & magical practices within the Norse culture. Some of his intros can be a bit silly, but pay them no mind! Glad you are feeling better, self care should always come first! Many bright blessings!
As a traveling surgical technician, I have gotten to see some of the coolest places as well as some of the not so good. North I do feel and have seen, is the way to go, as the further south you go, it seems to get hot, humid, and either is skimpy on winter or has none at all. In all places that I have traveled, my absolute favorites so far is Appleton, Wisconsin. Beautiful weather. Clean town. Historic and charming with nice people. Now I am in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and fall is about to start and it's only August. I have a feeling that this place will easily become my favorite. Beautiful weather so far. Clean town. Lots and lots of flowers, towering pines, and close to Plymouth Rock where the settlers arrived. I'm looking forward to visiting there for sure.
You’re not alone on the dream house!! The one outside of Falkreath on the lake, greenhouse, alchemy station would be a wall of windows lookin out over the lake!! There’s sooooo much more!!! But I about jumped out of my seat when you said what kind of house you wanted!! Cuz yes the very same for me as well!! ❤️💪💪💪💯
Thanks for answering my questions! I've heard Scandinavia and Norway are beautiful, and that lineage connection really is going to make the visit special. There are a lot of good questions that were answered. Thanks again for sharing so much!
Hello I'm Tessa from Mexico and I found your channel and I really enjoy everything about Herbalife so congrats and thanks for all you sharing. I wish all the best in your life and lots of blessings.
I spent most of my life in Northern Virginia, and never loved it, but a couple years ago I moved to Florida, and I have missed Virginia seasons more than I ever would have thought possible!
I LOVE your energy in this video! You seem very "yourself," which comes across so light and humorous! I love all your videos, but this one is somehow even more refreshing! Maybe those days off did you really well!!
Alaska is beautiful, I was born there, southern Alaska has beautiful summers. I have been enjoying your videos. I feel like we are kindred spirits. You touch on so much I resonate with.
Very much enjoyed this video. I see we share a common method in using video games as a way to plan and get up inside the mind. I have an Xbox and a Wii that I enjoy but I've noticed it keeps the Left side of my mind busy while allowing the Right side the freedom to create. Thank you for sharing!! :-)
Learning the Tarot was my first book on the subject, which I bought along with the cards; it's still a favoured go-to book. I can also highly recommend Kim Huggens' Tarot 101, it's a workbook with a more indepth intuitive slant, also based on the RWS. BB xx
beautiful down to earth video. your voice is so calm and soothing, I could listen to you for hours. Also thank you for the recommondations concerning herbal research!
My family lived in Europe (Belgium) back in the early 1980s, and we spent about a week driving through the Scandinavian countries. Norway, where we spent the most time, was absolutely gorgeous, with an appearance all its own. Some roads were literally breathtaking in how narrow they were with a sheer drop on one side, but all tended to be breathtaking by the landscapes they passed through. The people were friendly, but I did get mugged by a sheep (seriously, I did) -- and I'm still planning on going back when the world is less crazy and my wallet less empty. You'll love it there, just be prepared for higher prices (most things, including food, were imported).
We would get along so well, almost everything you’ve said including being interested in Edwardian era is so me. I hope you choose to leave your hometown soon, there’s so much world to see. If you’re looking for all the seasons and still naturey, you should check out upstate New York, most people seem to think NY = NYC but there’s so much beauty in upstate and western New York (I’m from Buffalo) Also Oregon is pretty wonderful!!
I started reading Tarot cards and have been for about a year now. I only read for myself and my family (mostly because I still have to look up the meanings because I have a horrible memory, lol). But I started keeping a journal of my readings and I add a little about what is happening at the time in my life. This seems to work for me. And as for living in other places. I think you would like Washington, I lives there in Port Angeles for about 6months and it is beautiful in the summers but the winter months are wet and cold(the type of cold that goes right to the bones.) I have lived in 31 states and I think my favorite is Oregon and Colorado. Montana was nice to but I wasn't there long enough to really enough it. So glad to hear that I'm not the only one who love living off the land information. We tiny/ off grid live and it is very important to us but it can be difficult. Love watching and learning from your videos, you remind me a lot of my cousins. Handmaid's tale is awesome!! The end is just awesome. Thanks again, Jessica Reed
I'm in Massachusetts and hoping to move to Maine next year or so and I wouldn't give up the 4 seasons for anything. Even though the winters are long (not as long as they used to be due to climate change though) I LOVE winter too. Fall in New England is the best. Winter gives me my hygge! I'm an Herbalist too, I even work for renowned Herbalist, Rosemary Gladstar, and watching you work with the plants and discover the magick of the herbs is so lovely. I'm also Pagan and so it weaves together so beautifully.
If you are looking for a place to be with actually seasons Washington State is the place to be!! I have lived here almost all my life and will never leave! The change in seasons is one of my favorite parts of this area. Also fall is so beautiful here!!
Being of Scandanavian descent too...I think we all feel it and somehow find it. I think our roots are deep and we all remain a little unsatisfied with life until we go. Please do go. ❤
I would love to see a video of yours about Tarot and maybe a video on how you celebrate Mabon and especially Samhain🎃 🍂, my favourite season. I love both of your channels. So beautifully filmed and so relaxing 👍
You would be most welcome in Canada. We do winter well. Lol. 😄 Winters are a little more mild in Vancouver where I live though. Thank you for another great video. 💜
I hope you get to see Norway! I may be biased haha but it’s truly beautiful here. If you decide to ever visit i would recommend not using all your time in the big cities, because there’s SO much beautiful nature to be explored. Also, Viking and Norse mythology museums are a must! They’re just such a lovely experience.
If you like winter - where I live, Manitoba, we have 5 months of it. We also have a lovely summer too. We get all 4 seasons and they are beautiful, even if the winter is long.
If you want to explore a beautiful land with four distinct seasons (including a very true winter!), I have to recommend Minnesota. May is the iconic image of spring and October the iconic fall. The colors are incredible! Summer is not too brutal, and winter is...for winter lovers only--let's put it that way.
This might sound so weird, but I feel so connected to you. Even in the little things like loving fallout and skyrim, winter, and Scandinavian roots. Wish you lived in the UK! Thank you so much for this video! Much love!
I live in Norway, I am also born and raised in Norway. And I love the Norwegian nature soo much! You are most welcome to come to Norway when things have normalized. Love your videos and the wibes you put out in the world through your videos. So glad I found your channel 😊😊 Where in Norway would you like to visit?
Hmmm, I could see you in my hometown in Alaska. Lots of wildflowers, incredible summer growing season. Dark winters, long summers. It's a little wet where I'm from, but I have a feeling you wouldn't mind very much
Someone I had never met previously came to my cottage the other day… the first thing she said when she walked in was, “green witch vibes”. I can now die happy 💚
It is 6:03 AM, here in Boston, Mass. I've been watching your videos for hours and LOVE this channel....You are bewitching....right? :) ..Well, I got into Wicca and Witchcraft a while back and find this Channel to be very helpful. I write a lot of code for a hobby and I am beginning to write a Book of Shadows in code which helps in many ways. This Channel helps. Thank you and Peace :)
I'm really late to this video, I appreciate you sharing a bit more about yourself and your life, as I'm someone that's just starting to learn about herbalism and green/kitchen witchery. I moved to northern Washington this year, following a dream to be more connected with nature (originally from so cal) and I can't tell you enough how the beauty out here takes my breath away, it's so much of what I dreamed of my whole life, and I hope that someday you can make out here too
Amelie is my favorite film too. Can you do a plant tour, and maybe a workspace tour? I love seeing peoples working spaces, and I am really getting interested in houseplants.
I hope that you find your ideal place. While I hope to travel to see many places, Minnesota is where I was born and raised and will always stay. Each season is vibrant and distinct. The many bdies of water and ample wilderness. Not to mention a pretty active and varied Pagan scene.
❤❤❤❤ the lineage question was such a good question. I've been trying to learn more about my lineage lately too and I'm trying to find ways to incorporate something from my heritage into my daily life. It makes me feel more grounded. Is anyone else doing this?
Hi dark👋🏼💜 funny you mention this about lineages cause over the past few weeks I’ve been coming across many different comments and even some different spiritual videos about ancestral karma and healing... I can’t really point out any one in particular but call this a coincidence🤷🏻♀️makes ya sure think ☺️be well and take care🇨🇦💖
I'm right there with you on those seasons and the North! Trying to figure out how to transition there and live off of the land, with the land, too. Pincurls... I know you said you don't do them anymore, but I would LOVE it so much if you did a tutorial video for it! I redesign my Dream Home almost daily too! ^.^
Hi I’m not blind but saw your comment & thought audiobooks on plant field guides for your area, herbalism & green witchcraft would be great to listen to to start. I hope that helps a bit!
I know this is one of your older videos, but I just wanted to say that Alaska would love to have you. The Kenai Peninsula is a pretty cool place to live if you love winter 😊
You should come to the UK, I live in Bristol which is a wonderful open and free city! But you would also love Wales 🥰 in the next 5 years - I know Wales is where my heart needs to be x
I love all of your videos it's beautiful and makes my day brighter watch it thank you for giving us something beautiful... I want to move to Norway one day and learn Norway history I feel drawn to the place... Hope you have a wonderful day and year ahead.
You seemed like this spritual faraway being until you mentioned SKYRIM, FALLOUT, AND RED DEAD! My favorite games! You immediately became both more relatable and even cooler 💙😂
Yess come to Maine ☀️🌸🔮 I am from South Carolina and have lived here for several years. The seasons (all 4) are filled with wonder. It has my ❤️ Wonderful video!
Writing from the Midcoast of Maine! I transplanted here 20 years ago from Massachusetts and never looked back. I love northern New England. Vermont is beautiful too. I have no desire to live any further south. North maybe, but not south. Come visit!
You mentioned a budding (pun?) interest in tarot. Are you looking at traditional imagery, or exploring niche decks that jive with your pre-existing interests, like The Herbcrafter's Tarot by Colbert & Guthrie? When you mentioned WWII books and said "Nightingale" it reminded me of "The Night Watch" by Sarah Waters, if you're looking for something to read. I really appreciate the fiddle and banjo in Trampled by Turtles. Yellowcard was one of my favorite groups because of Mackin's violin. I'm very late because I just discovered your channel. You seem positively radiant, so of course I subscribed.
I feel you on the "a witch lives here" home aesthetic. As an apartment dweller soon house hunting, I've spent so much time mentally building the perfect yard. Your perfect yard sounds amazing!
OH MY GODs SAME.
Not so far off! Have you heard of Permaculture? There are many communities centered on this philosophy/lifestyle.
I love that, me too. So glad I'm not the only one longing to be a witch in the wilderness
I hope you end up in your dream place 🖤
I would love to hear more on your Nordic or Scandinavian traditions in witchcraft. That is my background too!
Edddred Thorsson has some good books, Icelandic magick and his rune books mostly
Krista Hager thank you!
Check out Freyya Norling and Arith Harger here on youtube.

Hi, I totally agree with your book answer. I love to read. Be well. I also love vintage clothing from the era's you mentioned.
I've just found your channel recently, and I'm so glad I finally found you. I needed you in my life.
so happy you took time for self love & just as happy you're back! you energy is top shelf ~

Hey Annie, should look into Colorado, 4 seasons, low humidity, magical mountains and wonderful healthcare here. Love ya!
I LOVE your energy in this video! You seem very "yourself," which comes across so light and humorous! I love all your videos, but this one is somehow even more refreshing! Maybe those days off did you really well!!
Welcome back, lovely to see another video from you and great to get to know you just a little bit more!!

You are so beautiful and inspiring, I love your content!
P.S. you should play the witcher 3, it’s so much fun and super scenic
Cannot recommend the Witcher 3 enough!! 😍
Our summers are mild and our winters are rainy but green. You'll love Washington. Im a fall and winter girl too
You seriously would love Pennsylvania. ❤

Handmaid's tale is awesome!! The end is just awesome.
Thanks again,

Was wondering what books you have been reading about homesteading and living off the land? I would love to learn more!
If you are looking for a place to be with actually seasons Washington State is the place to be!! I have lived here almost all my life and will never leave! The change in seasons is one of my favorite parts of this area. Also fall is so beautiful here!!
Hearing that you enjoy playing Fallout ... I did not expect that and I absolutely love it!
Being of Scandanavian descent too...I think we all feel it and somehow find it. I think our roots are deep and we all remain a little unsatisfied with life until we go. Please do go. ❤
Come to Minnesota!! The Twin Cities are super Pagan friendly
Minneapolis green witch ✨
I would love to see a video of yours about Tarot and maybe a video on how you celebrate Mabon and especially Samhain🎃 🍂, my favourite season. I love both of your channels. So beautifully filmed and so relaxing 👍
You would be most welcome in Canada. We do winter well. Lol. 😄 Winters are a little more mild in Vancouver where I live though. Thank you for another great video. 💜
I think she’d love Nelson
We certainly do lol! Sometimes it feels our winters will never end!
I'm an Architect when your ready. But I'm in the uk. Dam. I also want to see Norway and do Nordic skiing with everything else. Love what you do
I really enjoyed reading the works of Arin Murphy-Hiscock. They're both great for beginners and a great reference to look back at.
Fully supporting the course idea! ^^
Queen Anne’s lace is also one of my favourites as it was beloved by my mother and reminds me of her, such a heart warming flower
Norway is absolutely breathtaking and magical. If you ever have a chance to go there, take it. The fjords are especially amazing (specifically Flam).
Minnesota is beautiful and welcomes you!!!!
If you want to explore a beautiful land with four distinct seasons (including a very true winter!), I have to recommend Minnesota. May is the iconic image of spring and October the iconic fall. If you like winter, you will probably like Maine! Especially if you like any winter sports, there is ample opportunity for that up here.
This might sound so weird, but I feel so connected to you. Even in the little things like loving fallout and skyrim, winter, and Scandinavian roots. Wish you lived in the UK! Thank you so much for this video! Much love!

Amilie is my absolute favorite film. It really is art.
Yes ! Come to Washington. It’s a beautiful place to live
All of this rang so true to me. I really love it. 💞✨
What would u recommend for a blind witch starting her studies in herbs
Hi I’m not blind but saw your comment & thought audiobooks on plant field guides for your area, herbalism & green witchcraft would be great to listen to to start. I hope that helps a bit!
Carnation thank u I will look into those suggestions
The Blind Mage you’re welcome
See if you have a foraging or wild-crafting club in your area, or look into traditional healers who might be able to mentor you.
I know this is one of your older videos, but I just wanted to say that Alaska would love to have you. The Kenai Peninsula is a pretty cool place to live if you love winter 😊

Have you tried hardanger embroidery? Very Norwegian and very calming :) Also would recommend moving up to Minnesota!

Writing from the Midcoast of Maine! I transplanted here 20 years ago from Massachusetts and never looked back. I love northern New England. Vermont is beautiful too. I have no desire to live any further south. North maybe, but not south. Come visit!

And me too! I've been wanting to live in Norway sense I was about 8!
What great questions!
