- Salamat datang friends! Today I'm in Kota Kinabalu at the Mari Mari Cultural Village. I'm here to learn about the five main ethnic groups that make up the Sabah state. At the village we get to learn about the different cultures, sample food and beverages and watch an excellent cultural dance. I also have to seek permission from the Village Chief to enter the Murut village house. Will he let me in? Enjoy this Mari Mari Cultural Village experience with me. If you have any questions about my Mari Mari Cultural Village vlog, please comment below and I will get back to you. Enjoy! #malaysia #kotakinabalu #sabah #borneo #marimari #hussmeister #dusun #murut #bajao #lundayeh #rungus

About me - Hi I'm Sam from Melbourne, Australia. I grew tired of working 9-5, packed my bag and started to travel more to see the world. I've always loved traveling, experiencing new cultures and customs and meeting new people! The difference this time is that I have decided to document all of my interactions so when I'm older, I can re-live my memories. Memories are forever. Subscribe to follow me on my travels. How did you come back to the city center after the visit the mari mari cultural village?
Hello friend 👋🏼 I caught a Grab taxi from Mari Mari village back to Kota Kinabalu City after the Mari Mari visit.
Are the head hunter tribes still around in Borneo?
No all of that stopped years ago but apparently there are a few people alive that may have been involved in such activities.
