Excellent video. I happen to agree with just about everything said about City Escape; I don't think any other Sonic intro level captures the thrill and excitement of being Sonic quite like this one does
I agree that the music is a BIG part of what makes 3D Sonic stages worth replaying. If there wasn't any music, you'd find almost everything there was to find within a handful of playthroughs, leaving you with no incentive to come back outside of grinding for your Chao development. And in the early 00s when soundtracks were still hard to come by? If you wanted to listen to the song, you played the level again. And I did. I did that so much. In 2D and 3D Sonic games. That said, Sonic stages need more than just cool music, a fun first experience, and repeated item grinding to be enjoyable even after dozens and dozens of playthroughs. That's my grumpy oldtimer gripe about it.
It's sad to me that Sonic Adventure 2 is probably the pinnacle of 3D Sonic. For the longest time, S3&K was the pinnacle of 2D Sonic, and then we got Sonic Mania...so maybe there's hope!
Gotta take it one step at a time, I figure. I just hope word will get around enough that UA-cam will start putting it in more recommended videos lists. Thanks for watching.
A good trick you might want to try is to have a tag only you would use, like the channel name or some random word. That way you get more of your videos in the recommended column since those are the only ones that share it.
Comment #17: 17 comments and 12,000 subscribers is not a good combo. YouTuve is so fickle. You need more views and comments especially for your quality of video.
"Who would build a street like this?" Clearly you've never been to San Francisco.

It's the most memorable intro level in a Sonic game to me as well!

Really great. I think yourr thr only youtuber aside from super eyepatch wolf that really gets inyo how positive they feel about a series.
Keep up the good videos :D
Great content as always

Would you say Obstacle Courses when they should've been Skate Park Routes?
When Mario is faster than Sonic
Great video.
You really should have more people watching you, it's a shame.

I do have Designing For as a tag, but it might not hurt to add something more random as well, thanks for the tip.
Have you ever thought of doing a video on Spider Man 2 the game?
The perfect video on Spider-man 2 already exists though.
