Demand seeing your cb, 10/11 meter radio, radio's with internal amplifier, linear amplifier or non linear amplifier powered up and on a minimum 100Mhz Oscilloscope and Spectrum Analyzer/Service Monitor. An actual "Test Bench" is only way to determine and measure spurious emissions, harmonics and true power at the fundamental frequency In The Real World! Only showing volts, amps and some jacked up happy watts on a Bird or Dosy meter is only an illusion playing on your ignorance and an insult to your intelligence. If they cant display or explain ac volts, pep, pk, cw or rms then how do you expect to achieve maximum clarity and performance? ?? ???
*Most important, Display of "Certification of Calibration" .. must!!!
Make sure that they display in clear view and all at the same time, the signal coming out of the radio that is driving the amplifier, the signal coming out of the amplifier, it's carrier and fully modulated carrier on load "and" on a antenna. Yes, on a antenna! If there are multiple stages, you need to observe them all. You need to see each stage individually "and" final stage output without exception! If they have a problem with that, find someone that has abilities and not some "Golden Screwdriver", you'll thank me later. "Never settle for excuses" because that's what they will be ..."excuses".
