This is one of the most beautiful island here in the Philippines that I’ve ever discovered because of your videos. I retired in Biliran with my beautiful Filipino wife. It truly is living in paradise a hidden little gem of the Philippines.
How do you like living there? My Fiancé lives there.
The upside to the all the rain that you and Carol have to deal with while traveling the Philippines is that it feeds the waterfalls, making their flow stronger. I luv Carol's Wonder Woman t-shirt. Its nice to see thatits the locals enjoying the waterfalls and you and carol are the only tourists present (again).
Absolutely appreciate that you have decided to pave your own way in the Philippines, and resisted the ridiculous trend for foreign vloggers to all pile into and out of the same overexposed locations like BGC (barf!), Boracay, etc. Keep it up!
The reason why I have become an avid follower of BECOMING A FILIPINO (Kulas) and 8 MILES AWAY FROM HOME because of their love of "province" life in the Philippines. Kulas, in particular, has been showcasing Mindanao as a safe place to visit.
BGC is nice! Thank God Philippines has a place like that to be proud of because it’s clean! Filipinos can be disciplined after all with some type of regulations.

You've sold me on mainland Biliran island. It really looks neat & well-taken care off. Development in the Philippines really all depends on the officials, most mind their pockets instead of their constituencies.
The fly in the ointment is the Maripipi Island mayor. His self-importance is incredible. Who is he that a tourist island should be closed just because he is visiting? They should suspend that one to bring him down to earth

This island is definitely better than Kauai , Hawaii , because Kauai is mostly inaccessible by road and I had to take a helicopter ride to see the island and Napali coast, you guys discovered a gem for sure. If it wasn't for hurricanes, Dengue fever and food, I would have considered moving to Philippines .

I admit i am kind of hooked now on watching these PH travel vlogs since i can't do any traveling for now, so it's only through their lens that i can get to see all these beautiful places here. I’ve been to Sambawan with my family! My brother lives in Naval as the sole Geodetic Engr in the area, lucky! I love the people there, they can speak Cebuano and Waray 2, I love the fresh produce especially Huge Prawns 🍤

It’s their 3rd time now visiting the Philippines. The second one was in 2020 and it was supposed to be like this adventure, jumping from one island to another but they were caught with the lockdown in El Nido for 6 months. So, here they are after the restrictions were lifted, they came back to continue their aborted plans

I've never heard or see anything about this island and this is the first time, but wow! This island is beautiful and a lot of scenery to see. I don't know if I want it to be known or we will gatekeep it to other people.
It's nice that you are showing places in the Philippines not traveled to so much (commercially) but looks spectacular and even a gem for us who didn't know about them. I know it's not easy traveling here so thank you for doing it for us first.

That's true. Some kababayan are taking advantage of many tourist charging them more than the rate is has to be. This must be given attention by the local authorities penalyzing anyone who is found abusing.

Philippines is composed of stunning and spectacular island beaches. just explore beyond your limits. there are more islands need to be explore like CAMIGUIN IS. SIQUIJOR IS. SIARGAO IS. PANGLAO IS. BOHOL IS. AMANPULO IS. BALABAC IS. AND BATANES IS. IN THE NORTHERNMOST TIP OF THE 🇵🇭
It’s everywhere mostly it’s underrated beaches ..somewhere Luzon there’s loads of beautiful beaches as well , waterfalls , rivers ,caves ,mountains I forgot to mention Mindanao area as well
I think they visited Siquijor, Bohol and El Nido from last time they visited the country
I didn't know that island had so many waterfalls, I will have to check that out. If you end up on the west side of Cebu, there is a list of waterfalls heading down the west coast from Moalboal to Santander worth seeing. It's a very pretty road trip along the way as well (actually where my profile pic is from haha).
I like how so many of the places in Biliran are empty, just like the last waterfall. It's like having a tourist level place to see, all by yourself.

Biliran is a beautiful island, Sambawan Island is a great place to stay overnight and relax.
Dont be disappointed guys. The weather here in the Philippines is very unpredictable. It's better to keep you safe than be sorry later. It may not be a typhoon but a low pressure area still can caught a great disappointment. Great vlog keep safe and more travels 👌
Since you are in Biliran now, I have some quite few suggestions on where to explore the nearby provinces of Biliran, Leyte, and Samar..after Biliran..you can go to Palompon, Leyte and head out to Kalanggaman Island, then head down to Tacloban City for a night, then the next day, take a 4 hour trip to Guiuan, Eastern Samar(the last frontier over the Pacific)
Good stuff guys, watching your channel for the past three years I can tell you that your content is spot on and guys I don't know if you are getting any feedback from your other viewer but I have to tell you, your filming is as professional as it gets, awesome job guys!
In your visit to Camiguin, please visit also the Dahilig nest, overlooking the Dahilig waterfalls, in Balingoan, Misamis Oriental. This is a new road going up to the mountain, and you can ride a habal habal or rent a motorcycle if its available in Balingoan. This is just a raw place with a stunning view, but I guess, it's better to be early (morning) because clouds cover the area mostly in the afternoon.
Or you can travel to Clavera Misamis Oriental (after Camiguin) and stay at JILAs SmallVille and have some coffee and snack at Don Narciso Cafe, and you may visit the Man-ibay Water falls (check online on how to get to the waterfalls) and explore the area around Claveria viewdeck. What to expect is a beautiful mountain view and amazing sunrise and sunset.
I like watching this kind of travel blog. Beautiful falls , less touristy white sand beaches, cool islands . You choose Relaxing background music. You make vivid videos.
Oh hey I live here and thank you for visiting our place. We still have more waterfalls, beaches, resorts, hot springs, and more beautiful spots. Right now, we are building roads going to the mountains where you can get a full view of the nature (and more waterfalls). There are even festivals at certain times that draws crowds everywhere. That Maripipi mayor was a bummer but I still hope you had a great time!

you are near Uwan uwanan gorge( not for faint hearted due to extreme adventure) Lake Danao in Ormoc, Bondari Peak, Cuatro Isla and Palompon where you can spend overnight at Kalanggaman island and also zip line. Challenge is to go to Homonhon island where europeans first sets foot in the philippines.
Off-the-beaten path destinations has some of the most stunning views and relatively pristine nature. Enjoy your trip.

This island is really just closer to my hometown and yes they had an amazing waterfalls, beaches and amazing sceneries as well..not so popular by tourist but this is one of the hidden tourist spots by far in Visayas region.. I remember i was able to work in Naval many years ago and didn't even had a chance to explore this wonderful island that much and i didn't even realize the water falls were pretty amazing that i ever expected.. Thank u so much Chris and Carol for gracing this island.. Definitely one for the books. Im planning to visit there with my friends probably this coming summer...god bless u both and take care always..
