For all the people wondering why "Portugal - Macau, China" is because Portugal owned Macau until 1999
15:02 This is a version of their main ID, re-edited for their regional station "7 Cibao". The original ID has another tune.
ČST indent was used since 1973 until 1990. ČST was seperated to F1, S1, Čtv and OK3
Aaaah, Telenorte! I’m from Chile and I REALLY didn’t expect to see it, but it was a lovely surprise. Thank you! 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱

The ARD bumper ran beyond 1992, but with a slightly different jingle and additional tiles for the ORB (Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg) and MDR (Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk). The ORB merged with the SFB (Sender Freies Berlin) to form the RBB (Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg). The SWF (Südwestfunk) and SDR (Süddeutscher Rundfunk) also merged, to form the SWR (Südwestrundfunk).
A lot of the ITV regions are missing, such as Television South West and TV-AM, as well as Ulster Television and Grampian
I guess perhaps they could not upload them all so too of course?!
That PBS logo can still be used today and it would still be relevant.
A special version was shown following the premiere of Square One TV - the logo multiplied into the distance with "And on, and on, and on..." playing in the background. The first episode of the series had a song about infinity

It is ITV or Thai pbs
26:34 - shame that it only played a year, it's a good one.
There was a mistake in the video, it was actually first used in 1983.
The only non-depressing looking ident in this video so far lmao
Fun fact, before the 90's chilean tv channels were run by universities (except TVN which was state owned)
Even during the pincheot era?
@@jamesgreen1166 yes, it was until Mega (Megavision back then) became the first private owned channel.
City2/BBC2 and ABS CBN are just same City 2 was just renamed as ABS CBN because of the Presidency of President Cory Aquino and 1986 People Power
Nope, BBC-2 Was owned by the Benedictos while ABS-CBN-2 Was owned by The Lopezes...
16:36 The best of that year. The music and graphics are really good!
Too bad it failed since Bloch died,
@FBI_Agent767 Yeah. Rede TV! is awful
Surprising how old many of these cable networks are.
TVB 無線電視翡翠台 🇭🇰 in this feature with some of famous Hong Kong celebrities because 1980's mostly impact for the greatest movies that sooner had an eye catcher around the world.

Yup. That marked the official launch of the Telemundo Network, OKA NetSpan back in '84.
Actually its tv Globo ident from 1978? and 1986
@@DostawcaSwiezejJakosciTasmy Telemundo plagiarized at least this id from Globo. Showtime for years also plagiarized id's and slogans from Globo.
Monte Carlo from Uruguay also used some id's from Globo - which appears in this compilation, including - but in this case I believe there was permission, since the station had some agreements with Globo and was a loyal customer of Globo's soap operas. Another case is that of Tele MonteCarlo in Monaco, which was owned by Globo during the 1980s and 1990s.
This feels Nostalgic.

Not mentioned on this video on Southeast Asia 1986 Station ID was PTV 4
In the 1980s, GTV 4 or Government Television 4 was renamed as Maharlika Broadcasting System or MBS but in 1986 People Power Revolution, rebels stormed Channel 4 interrupting Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. speech by replacing with new name as New TV 4 as a temporary channel before it was renamed as PTV 4 or People's Television Network, two months later

@@memo-tv Well, Albania was very poor due to it being the only country in Europe that was a Chinese ally after the Sino-Soviet split, meaning they were isolated from the rest of the world. TV Record's Id 1986 was missing in Brazil
11:05 *OUR* TV INTRO.
Brazil had the same announcer for all it's tv networks for years? I mean, I know Casey Kazem and Don La Fontaine are often heard, but not to this extent. And Rede Manchete copied off the Globo jingle, while SBT copied the NBC Be There jingle in a matter similar to Australia.

I'll list here the following conflicting sources in the Philippine part:
GMA's station ID was recorded in 1984, but the date where it was first aired to the date it was last aired is not really known. Thus, you could've used this instead, because it was possibly aired in 1986 too, but really close enough because this specific episode of a GMA program was aired in 1987. ua-cam.com/video/LsCqS30qV3M/v-deo.htmlm08s
City2 also used another ident (aside from TheComputerPart's description, which I dubbed "Deliver's Entertainment!" ident, which it actually exists, but there is no tape recorded just yet) that has the "Big Bold Channel" slogan. This was used from 1984-86.

East German cube was on air until 1987, not until 1990, it was restyled in 1987 without text, new images and blue background
To add: "Fernsehen der DDR" renamed itself back to DFF (Deutscher Fernsehfunk) in 1990, ran until New Year's Eve 1991, a day before ORB and MDR went live. Of the states of the former East Germany, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern were the only ones to join an existing ARD "affiliate" (for lack of a better word) when joining the NDR.

The Eesti Televisioon one was most likely used from 1975 to 1980.

0:44 and 0:49 The NBC identities were copied by Brazilian businessman Silvio Santos during one of his visits to the US. He used both soundtracks on his TV channel, TVS (Brazilian Television System).
Silvio Santos is indeed infamous for ripping off a lot of American television, but this time he didn't copy; NBC and CBS licensed their IDs to SBT (and judging by how memorable they were, we thank you from Brazil)
