The only real way to reduce diaper landfill waste is too bring the cost of Eco friendly diapers down to the same price as the disposable ones
She couldnt think clearly, if they said 10% for $250k, then she could have countered by saying $300k for 10% and they probably would have given in. What a shame.
I think I read an article that stated the producers don’t allow the entrepreneurs to ask for more money on the show and can only counter with equity, loans, royalty splits… etc. The rare time you see it happen the sharks are the ones who bring it up or the entrepreneurs go against the producer’s wishes and it works out either with getting a deal or good tv. I think I saw it more often in early episodes but that may have been shark’s initiatives as well.

What are advisory shares? Ive always wondered
it basically means instead of using cash for a % of the company they are only using their influence/guidance that way the company itself is worth more at an evaluation. like business worth 100,000 value goes down if you invest 2k for 10% but if you give no money and use your influence in exchange for that 10% the company retains the 100k value
What's the difference between advisory and standard shares?

Hard work PAYS OFF
While this is a great idea, it's a premium product and thus not for the vast majority of people. The biggest expenses on a new baby is formula and diapers. Most parents already struggle to afford both. So paying up to 50% more for the diapers is out of question even if they are "better in quality".
Get that down to 5-10% and your sales will explode. Most parents WILL spend the extra dollar or two for a box of better diapers. But they won't spend an extra 10 dollars.
You'll make sell but sell more. BUT... the impact in landfill you'll do is the real big positive thing.
