I wish you would show all the projects you do in a episode at the end of your video. One at a time or all together,, either way would work, just to let “Old people” like a reminder of what you did on this show. Maybe I get kind of caught up on past shows and start watching one when posted I won’t need it, but right now I’m watching several at a time. Not sure why she didn't or couldn't but I'd either go back and ask her to add what you asked for OR find someone who does hair coloring all the time...it CAN be done and YOU asked for it. Anyway....hard to choose a favorite but I LOVED the coasters and the candle holders and seeeeeeee....LOL.....I love them all! I like the succulents in the holders a lot AND the colors are PERFECT sitting on your tray...which I also LIKED a LOT. ;)

I wish stylist would be straight up with people and let them know if they can or can't do what you ask because who wants to sit there spending all their time just to have the end result clearly not like the picture you show them. She messed it up and I asked her to try to fix it but then it turned into what you saw in the video...not totally awful but totally not what I wanted. Go with it love you will learn to love it, when I went to the one and only hair dresser in Port Hedland in Western Australia in 1986 I showed the hair dresser a picture out of a magazine, she did a fairly good job of perming and dying my hair until she told her assistant to rinse me off. The assistant immediately shampooed my hair turning my hair orange,( it was Burgundy) and the perm fell flat on my head with know body in my hair at all. To rectify the problem we decided to shave my head into a crew cut. I had a large diamond painted on my head and a swirl across the front starting a new trend in the town that spread over half of our very large state.My oldest son had just turned 18 and we were having a party that night. after that my nickname became trendy or trendymum by everyone I met I am know 70 and am still called trendy by friends and some family members.I love it, it makes me feel young
I think it's wonderful that things worked out for you. However, if this is not what she wanted and asked for, I think she should do what she can to remedy the situation. I too am older now. And I'm finally learning that I don't have to roll over and settle for other people's wrongs. Anyway, to each their own.
Ask for some lowlights to be put back in. They can also do a cooler toner or glaze to change the hue. Agreed, I’d ask them to change if you are not happy. But you go! Trying something new! Thx for these DIY’s.
I TOTALLY AGREE the hair person should fix it for free. I like it but its definitely doesn't look like picture. It's to light on top. & still dark on bottom.
No that's exactly what she wants UNLESS it is for free and she gets help by another stylist. Some stylist do it on purpose to get you go come back and pay a color correction price!
It looks fine but I have seen them do this at my salon and it looks very much like the picture you have. My guy puts a toner on my hair to take out the brassy look and give it shine 🧡

Your hair is beautiful! But, I personally think the more dramatic look in the photo would work really well for you. My hair has warm undertones too, but this can be altered with toner. I love that you’re presenting a neutral take on DIYs right now. Neutral is more eye catching than a lot of color (in my opinion.)

Try doing a toner to take out some of the "warm" tone of the blonde then go in with a darker color and do low lights the same way they do highlights like peak a boos. Your hairdresser can totally do that to get the look you are after. Only draw back is the processing maybe a little harsh on your hair.
As a hairstylist it can be toned if you want to Sally’s has Ashe toners she honestly didn’t know how to baylayage it’s very free hand with some money lighter peices .. can be done so many different ways but yes she just did blonde no contrast was added that’s more like a shadow root n used for depth n contrast too I’d go back to a different stylist in that salon and ask for the picture it can still be done let ur hair rest and recover for a week but call them immediately so they can put you as a redo (no charge) it’s pretty but definitely not what you paid and asked for upsets me if I don’t know how I refer to another stylist who does

If I don’t have lowlights and highlights put in, my hair looks so bland 😣 For a quick and more inexpensive fix, I think you’d love the look you achieve with some purple shampoo. I use it on my blonde hair and it helps get a cooler tone. I use Pravana brand and let it sit for 5 minutes once a week. 💜 At the salon, I’d ask for some lowlights to break up the blonde :)
Reverse balayage to pull your dark roots down, and lighten the blonde again...it's not light enough to be the color you're trying to achieve. Toner & olaplex very important. Thanks for the vids

Being a hairstylist for 25 years I would Definitely add dimension by adding a few lowlights as well as smudging your root to blend color so it’s not so blonde... I see what you mean, it looks all blonde but still pretty!! Also toning with a violet or blue base to add more of the ashy tone and get rid of the gold to look more like picture 🙂🙂🙂

Yes a lot of times I ended up with something different from I asked 🙁 Your color is pretty but yes is not the style you asked for it, one thing is that she couldn’t get the color and another thing is the style
I’ve been in the same situation! I suggest going back to the stylist and telling her that the highlights are too thin and close together, so you want lowlights that are the same color as your natural hair color. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this! I know, it’s just hair, but it can be distressing when someone messes it up! You still look beautiful!!

it looks good to me but if you were going for the picture, she didn’t do that at all. i wouldn’t go back to her as she didn’t get it right the first time. find a new stylist to try to get what you want. if you don’t love it, fix it. it does look good though.
I've gone back to my stylist and asked her to fix my hair, it was nothing like what I wanted. She had no problem correcting it and did not charge me. I would go back and tell her it isn't what you wanted and to please make it right. If she can't, or won't, I would find another stylist. You are so beautiful, inside and out. Like the hair, but next time, you need to find someone who can to do it like you want it! I know that I drive 180 miles every month to go to my excellent hair dresser. When I moved, my one requirement was being able to keep seeing her. My sister-in-law drives over 100 miles more than I do, to get her hair done.
Put some more dark low lights in. I think you're beautiful no matter, but by listening to you, it sounds like you want a more defined colors. Meaning you want to see defiant lines if you will between the blonde highlights and with darker lowlights, but all still blending together throughout your hair. My sister has been a color specialist for many years and has tons and I mean TONS of clients. Anyways...maybe go back and ask her to put a few foils of lowlights. Idk...lol Its beautiful the way you have it, but go for what you're looking for. Anyways...great video and diy's. Tfs 👍👍👍❤

Your hair look nice. The ice blonde tone can be done but gradually. You can't go from black to ice blonde in dye job. It looks good. You can go to a different stylist or you can wait a bit and go back to the stylist you when to before to correct the color. But use blue shampoo till you do. I wish I can post the meme that goes. If you want this color you need to go to get this color first meme. But it is on FB.
make them re do it, then get a new stylist! it is nothing near the pic. having said that, you look great , but the way you wanted would look better. I think an amateur could've done better. First off I think the color compliments you very well. One suggestion I would give to you is to get some purple shampoo!! It will make it have an ashy look but beware do not over use it or it will literally turn your hair a purple hue! I’ve been a blonde my whole life and LOVE my purple shampoo. I’m sure you could look on UA-cam or google the best kind to get. I use the Barcelona brand it’s great!
Honey I think she maybe didn't know how to get what you wanted. I know that we have very unique relationships with our hairdressers. And they can be very sensitive about their work. However, I think you should try and talk to her and see if maybe there's another technician (hairdresser) that can take what she's done and hopefully get closer to what you actually wanted. Our just go to the salon owner or manager. This is a really tough situation. I'm just recovering from a very similar situation. Be blessed. I'll be praying for you.
I like you better with your dark hair. , but that's just my opinion. You can always color your hair darker., and add some copper and dark blonde highlights. I'm fair, blonde and blue eyed and I look terrible with dark hair. xox I love the grateful hanging. I never would have thought to use the wall stickers ! So smart !
Your hair looks very pretty, however it definitely does not look like the picture.. Your stylist added way too much blinde, losing the highlighted effect. I have had this happen myself. You are gorgeous! However you were robbed! 😐 Sorry. You hair looks like they colored the top layer and nothing to the underneath hair. I have thick thick straight hair white is white. Most people get grey hair nope white hair. But after years of getting it dyed I found a stylist who is amazing! I have what looks like 5 colors in my hair. Go back to the salon and try explaining it to another stylist. I really like the table runner and tray, super boho! I think you can water the paint to help swirl the paint. I love when you paint the inside of the piece. Y the way you can get audible books from the library. I love the black sharpie on the piece always candles. You find great things at your DT, I haven’t seen most of these pieces. I can’t find wreath forms at my DT. Love the coasters. Favorite is the runner. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us
Tip: to paint the inside of anything with thick paint add water but not too much just until it thin enough for smooth movement. You can use any type of paint. If you paint the outside and don’t want the chalky look use a varnish or polycrylic. Your hair is beautiful. If you wanted the look in the picture your stylist should have used a cap to separate the hair to color the lighter color from your darker color. I myself do not like the cap. I always had my hair stained. Right now it’s growing back after my chemo treatments and in style. Everyone is coloring their hair a silver/dark brown color and mine is coming in naturally with curls.
I love the second project, the banner. Boy, oh boy. Your hairstylist did not give you that the style that you showed her! I hate when that happens! The only way that you can make it. Look the way you originally wanted is to put some brown highlights in it. to cover up some of the kind of blind.

Your stylist shouldn’t been honest with you and just told you she couldn’t achieve the color you wanted and she wasn’t comfortable doing it. Depending on what level your hair was before the ashy tone you wanted may have taken a couple of try’s but it’s totally doable on your hair. Find you a stylist that specializes in color and contact your current stylist and let her know your not satisfied.

I’ve always looked for young hairstylist because they do great with the new color trends before they get set in the same four styles. Then I get them to cut the general haircut then I fix it when I get home. They somehow never know even though I always razor cut. Like you know you didn’t do that.
That hair color on the picture could be a wig. But your hair stylist didn't even come close. Your definitely need to do some research for a stylist that can do dimension. Ask to see their portfolio.
Great diy's. The color is you! I think you could go with more at the roots just because the color is so beautiful on you. The pictire is pretty but everyone is wearing that style I think because most couldn't go from one color to another like you. I actually like the lighter on you it's much softer and it just looks natural. Go back and do more!!!! (JMO) THUMBS UP!!!

Hi! What your hairstylist tried to do, the balayage, is not even accomplished. And of course it has nothing to do with what you showed in the pic. You can't expect him/her to fix it IMO. So....go straight to another stylist because this one has no idea about hair coloring... that's my 2 cents. Just go for a good specialized hairstylist. You have a beautiful hair and the style in the pic would look fabulous on you!! 😊 In the meantime...don't worry about it and keep the good ideas coming! 👏

absolutely find a new stylist. platinum blonde should be very doable for any decent hairdresser. no body going blonde wants the brassy/ yellow tone, that’s for sure. my advice would be purple shampoo- it will tone the brassiness in your hair to a “cooler, ashy” aka the desired tone lol

Find a stylist that specializes in in hair color.... ie: Paul Mitchell Colorist. My hair has red under tones so blonde is brassy on my hair unless my color is done by a colorist. Love your videos !

That’s exactly why I’ve done my own hair since I was in 5th grade. I had always had very long hair but I wanted a Dorothy Hamill pixie bob cut for our family portrait. Long story short everyone always asks who the third boy in the picture is because she gave me a boy cut not a cute pixie bob. I have since then cut, colored and permed my own hair, which of course means I’m always doing my friends and family’s hair as well, but I enjoy it. 😊

For your hair, ask for high and low lights. Also have them put a toner on your hair. I use redden shampoo that has toner in it.

Definitely add dimension by adding a few lowlights as well as smudging your root to blend color so it’s not so blonde... I see what you mean, it looks all blonde but still pretty!!
Also toning with a violet or blue base to add more of the ashy tone and get rid of the gold to look more like picture 🙂🙂🙂

I’ve been in the same situation! I suggest going back to the stylist and telling her that the highlights are too thin and close together, so you want lowlights that are the same color as your natural hair color. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this! I know, it’s just hair, but it can be distressing when someone messes it up!

That hair is called Nordic White. It's even more expensive to upkeep with the ashy white. You can look up Nordic White on Instagram and you'll see it.

it looks good to me but if you were going for the picture, she didn’t do that at all. i wouldn’t go back to her as she didn’t get it right the first time. find a new stylist to try to get what you want. if you don’t love it, fix it. it does look good though.
I've gone back to my stylist and asked her to fix my hair, it was nothing like what I wanted. She had no problem correcting it and did not charge me. I would go back and tell her it isn't what you wanted and to please make it right. If she can't, or won't, I would find another stylist. You are so beautiful, inside and out. Like the hair, but next time, you need to find someone who can to do it like you want it! I know that I drive 180 miles every month to go to my excellent hair dresser. When I moved, my one requirement was being able to keep seeing her. My sister-in-law drives over 100 miles more than I do, to get her hair done.

Put some more dark low lights in. I think you're beautiful no matter, but by listening to you, it sounds like you want a more defined colors. Meaning you want to see defiant lines if you will between the blonde highlights and with darker lowlights, but all still blending together throughout your hair. My sister has been a color specialist for many years and has tons and I mean TONS of clients. Anyways...maybe go back and ask her to put a few foils of lowlights. Idk...lol

Your hair look nice. The ice blonde tone can be done but gradually. You can't go from black to ice blonde in dye job. It looks good. You can go to a different stylist or you can wait a bit and go back to the stylist you when to before to correct the color. But use blue shampoo till you do. I wish I can post the meme that goes. If you want this color you need to go to get this color first meme. But it is on FB.
make them re do it, then get a new stylist! it is nothing near the pic. having said that, you look great , but the way you wanted would look better. I think an amateur could've done better. First off I think the color compliments you very well. One suggestion I would give to you is to get some purple shampoo!! It will make it have an ashy look but beware do not over use it or it will literally turn your hair a purple hue! I’ve been a blonde my whole life and LOVE my purple shampoo. I’m sure you could look on UA-cam or google the best kind to get. I use the Barcelona brand it’s great!
Honey I think she maybe didn't know how to get what you wanted. I know that we have very unique relationships with our hairdressers. And they can be very sensitive about their work. However, I think you should try and talk to her and see if maybe there's another technician (hairdresser) that can take what she's done and hopefully get closer to what you actually wanted. Our just go to the salon owner or manager. This is a really tough situation. I'm just recovering from a very similar situation. Be blessed. I'll be praying for you.
I like you better with your dark hair. , but that's just my opinion. You can always color your hair darker., and add some copper and dark blonde highlights. I'm fair, blonde and blue eyed and I look terrible with dark hair. xox I love the grateful hanging. I never would have thought to use the wall stickers ! So smart !
Your hair looks very pretty, however it definitely does not look like the picture.. Your stylist added way too much blinde, losing the highlighted effect. I have had this happen myself. Most people get grey hair nope white hair. But after years of getting it dyed I found a stylist who is amazing! I have what looks like 5 colors in my hair. Go back to the salon and try explaining it to another stylist.
I really like the table runner and tray, super boho! I think you can water the paint to help swirl the paint. I love when you paint the inside of the piece. Y the way you can get audible books from the library. I love the black sharpie on the piece always candles. You find great things at your DT, I haven’t seen most of these pieces. Tip: to paint the inside of anything with thick paint add water but not too much just until it thin enough for smooth movement. You can use any type of paint. If you paint the outside and don’t want the chalky look use a varnish or polycrylic.
Your hair is beautiful. If you wanted the look in the picture your stylist should have used a cap to separate the hair to color the lighter color from your darker color. I myself do not like the cap. I always had my hair stained. Right now it’s growing back after my chemo treatments and in style. Everyone is coloring their hair a silver/dark brown color and mine is coming in naturally with curls.
I love the second project, the banner. Boy, oh boy. Your hairstylist did not give you that the style that you showed her! I hate when that happens! The only way that you can make it. Look the way you originally wanted is to put some brown highlights in it. to cover up some of the kind of blind.

Your stylist shouldn’t been honest with you and just told you she couldn’t achieve the color you wanted and she wasn’t comfortable doing it. Depending on what level your hair was before the ashy tone you wanted may have taken a couple of try’s but it’s totally doable on your hair. Find you a stylist that specializes in color and contact your current stylist and let her know your not satisfied.

I’ve always looked for young hairstylist because they do great with the new color trends before they get set in the same four styles. Then I get them to cut the general haircut then I fix it when I get home. They somehow never know even though I always razor cut. Like you know you didn’t do that.
That hair color on the picture could be a wig. But your hair stylist didn't even come close. Your definitely need to do some research for a stylist that can do dimension. Ask to see their portfolio.

Great diy's. The color is you! I think you could go with more at the roots just because the color is so beautiful on you. The pictire is pretty but everyone is wearing that style I think because most couldn't go from one color to another like you. Hi! What your hairstylist tried to do, the balayage, is not even accomplished. And of course it has nothing to do with what you showed in the pic. You can't expect him/her to fix it IMO. So....go straight to another stylist because this one has no idea about hair coloring... that's my 2 cents. Just go for a good specialized hairstylist. You have a beautiful hair and the style in the pic would look fabulous on you!! 😊 In the meantime...don't worry about it and keep the good ideas coming! 👏

absolutely find a new stylist. platinum blonde should be very doable for any decent hairdresser. no body going blonde wants the brassy/ yellow tone, that’s for sure. my advice would be purple shampoo- it will tone the brassiness in your hair to a “cooler, ashy” aka the desired tone lol

Find a stylist that specializes in in hair color.... ie: Paul Mitchell Colorist. My hair has red under tones so blonde is brassy on my hair unless my color is done by a colorist. Love your videos !

That’s exactly why I’ve done my own hair since I was in 5th grade. I had always had very long hair but I wanted a Dorothy Hamill pixie bob cut for our family portrait. Long story short everyone always asks who the third boy in the picture is because she gave me a boy cut not a cute pixie bob. I have since then cut, colored and permed my own hair, which of course means I’m always doing my friends and family’s hair as well, but I enjoy it. 😊
