Happiness is homemade. I would recommend using a wood burning tool to melt the plastic. Would also recommend doing it outside because there is a possibility of fumes.
Happiness is homemade! Love these, so creative!!! Question: if I don’t have a napkin ring, would it work to use a half a shower curtain ring or make the piece out of play dough and let it dry in that shape? I don’t know if that would glue or not but I am Just trying to figure out if what I have at home could work to create the vase with handles? Also with the planter and cutting the bottom, would a hot glue gun or wood burning tool work? They create holes in plastic so just an idea
I love you Rebecca! You just plow through your challenges and no diy ever stops you from trying any project! You are a true inspiration and hopefully I will be able to approach projects like u.
“Happiness is Homemade”. Lovely projects especially the art. Please would like to see some more craft ideas for the Yoplait “OUI” yogurt jars. Thank you.
Happiness is homemade😁 I think your framed artwork turned out better than the original. And so glad you preserved and finished that planter. Looks great!
Hi Rebecca! Happiness is homemade. My favorite DIY is the rope planter. I am trying to start a container garden as well. I have a parlor palm plant that I managed to keep alive for a year so I am going to try my hand at flowers and vegetables. I bought marigolds, sunflowers and gypsum seeds. And spinach and carrots for the vegetables garden. It's kind of hard because I live in an apartment and have to be creative. So far I only have planted the marigolds. Will keep you posted on the progress. Thanks for sharing and stay safe 🙏❤
Yay!! I am growing my container garden this year too and it gives me so much joy!! My dad was recommending marigolds to me too because he gardens a lot and he said they keep the bugs away from your plants so I'm thinking maybe I should get a couple. Anyway, have a wonderful weekend!! XOXO
Happiness is homemade... I would have used my hot knife or my wood burning tool to cut that plastic bowl with ease! You should really get one. I think I paid $12 for my hot knife at Michael's and $20 for my wood burning kit at Walmart. Both are worth every dollar when it comes to these type projects! You did an awesome job though! The last one was my fav!!
Hot knife. To cut plastic like that. Easy peasy.😉😘 could probably use a wood burning tool...? Or heat up an exacto knife with a candle flame would work if you dont have any heat tools.
Hi Rebecca! Great job on addiing personal touch by using a different color 🆚 ur inspiration!! I don't know if ppl hv said it already, but to cut that plastic bowl, u can heat a knife over a flame(candle or ur cooktop will do) and slice thru. And I think u could use rag braid instead of that smelly rope, and use the planter indoors!! Just sayin!
I love the 2nd one where you cut off the ends of the popsicle sticks and made the geometric patterns. That goes with my decor perfectly and I can't wait to make it!! I love the copper color you used in these projects!! The bowl planter was a great idea and it's so cute!! You could maybe use a wood burning tool or even the tip of your hot glue gun to melt the plastic around the bowl and pop the middle out. Tfs all these wonderful DIYS!! Happiness is homemade. ❤ Ashley from Alabama
I personally would have tried to just score the plastic from the bowls that you turned into the planter. With a little bit of patience scoring the same lines over and over would make it easier. Alternatively you could have just melted holes with some heated tool(similarly to drilling, but drilling might also crack the plastic if you're not careful enough). But it did end up lookong very cute
Happiness is homemade. Invest in a wood burning kit. It is great for poking holes in plastic and they have a little knife attachment that is perfect for cutting plastic. I know, that rope really stinks. My husband says it is because it is soaked in oil. It should be perfect for the outdoors. Love your videos.
Next time I suggest for the napkins to use a wood burning hot knife or making the handles out of clay either air dry or oven baked. But love your diys I just want to try to make it easier. The hot knife would work for the bowls to
Happiness is homemade and I would try using the tip of your glue gun (without glue) to go around the area you want to cut to make it thinner and warm & then heat up your Exacto blade with a lighter to cut it out if you don’t have a hot blade.
I don’t know if it would work for this hard plastic, but maybe use a lighted candle or heat tool to heat the tip of your craft knife so it will melt the plastic. Maybe the tip of your hot glue gun might melt it too. Walmart also sells a wood burning too in the craft section that might be handy for this kind of stuff.
I would use my wood burning tool to cut the bottom off or heat a knife and use for the bottom..these all turn out so beautiful..love the planter and ur art work..tyfs♡
Love the wall art but my favorite is the planter. You should make another coordinating one using the three bowls as you showed in your "easy way" demo. I'm wondering if a hot knife would work on the plastic bowls. It's an electric cutting tool that heats up. There's another You Tube crafter that uses one all the time. I'm just not sure how well it would work on hard plastic.
Girl you BROUGHT IT in this video!!!!! Love!!!! For the bowl planter (love the idea!!!!) I would buy the softer plastic bowls so they’d be easier to cut :)
Your killing me smalls! Watching you cut out that bottom of the bowl had me laughing out loud! " I recommend you use all the things"! 🤣 You're definitely my FAVORITE you tuber, Rebecca! I love "all the things" you create!!!
Alisha Rocklin Thank you so much!! You are so sweet!! Yeah that planter I wasn't sure if I should share how I did it but I actually liked it so much I wanted to at least share the idea, you know?! Hope you have an awesome weekend!! XOXO
Obsessed!!! I ADORE and literally swooned over the popcicle art!! I will be recreating for sure. The last DIY with the bowls- SO GOOD!!❤❤🙌 Please do more UO dupes pretty please!😊😍😁
No recomendations from me with the bowl. I think I'd do exactly the same as you (I couldn't stop cringing and smiling at the same time watching you work with the work😁)👍👍👍
It was so tough I felt awkward sharing it but I just love how cute it looks outside and it's holding up great with the sun and rain we've had recently so I had to share it!
Hey Rebecca! I like the one with the napkin ring handles. It looks more like pottery! I love your dupes. And the ones on canvas are lovely. Okay dear, take care! ❤️💜💚
I would recommend a multispeed nail dremmel tool versus an actual dremmel tool. The nail tool can be slowed down and controlled easier and you can fit all the regular dremmel tool bits on it. I bought a great nail tool from Amazon for under $20.
Harbor Freight sells a "wanna be" Dremel for $9.99 with attachments. Cutting blades and sanding drums an grinding stones. Ive used mine forever for crafts.
I wonder if a Dremel tool would work to remove the center of the plastic bowl. Also happinesses is homemade. I believe that’s what you said to write. I don’t want to delete my comment now and it already went past. 😘
I decorate with a lot of what I make, some I give to mom, sister and mom in law and sometimes I repurpose the pieces into a new DIY if I get an idea for something I like better!
Love the two pictures you made hang together. Cutting the plastic: I think a plug in wood burner tool might work. The planter turned out great. HAPPINESS IS HOMEMADE💞
Heat a knife on the stove and melt around the bowl.
Happiness is homemade. I would recommend using a wood burning tool to melt the plastic. Would also recommend doing it outside because there is a possibility of fumes.
I would have used a dremel tool to cut that plastic

Aww, Thank you!! I’m so glad you enjoyed these!! Hugs and Love!! Happy Weekend!!
You can never have enough plants. I have a small greenhouse and I start my own flowers and veggies. The round planter is my favourite

Use a wood burning tool outside?
Happiness is homemade! It really is.
That Texas Gal !!!
Hi from Portugal! Love your DIY!
To cut the plastic bowls, try a soldering iron, or a hot knife. Works wanderful!

Happiness is Homemade!!!!!!!Love the art work. The plant thing I have to do I really like it.
Happiness is homemade. Always love your videos. My favorite was the little black bowl on the stand.
I personally would have tried to just score the plastic from the bowls that you turned into the planter. With a little bit of patience scoring the same lines over and over would make it easier. Love the art work. Planter was interesting! Happiness is Homemade! What about a hot knife to cut out center?
I would use my wood burning tool to cut the bottom off or heat a knife and use for the bottom..these all turn out so beautiful..love the planter and ur art work..tyfs♡
Very beautiful as always love the planter thanks for sharing God bless
you are so talented and Happiness is (definitely) HOMEMADE!
Great ideas all of them!
Art work was super cute and coordinated with each other too!🌟 👍🏼
Ive seen people heat up the blade on a box cutter with a lighter and cut plastic that way. I havent tried myself though.
A hot knife, wood burning tool, soldering iron would go through the plastic
For cutting out the middle of that plastic maybe you can run the tip of your hot glue gun around the edge?
"Happiness is Homemade".... you won me over with the last planter.... great job sticking with it!!!🥰
Aww, thank you so much!! I just swapped out the artificial fern I used for the video with a live geranium plant and it's super cute! I love it! 💗🌸
happiness is homemade ... i really like all you create thank you
Yay! #EarlySquad! You are extremely creative!
Yay!! Thank you so much!! 🤗❤️😍
Wood burning tool and slowly melt it. Love your videos!!

Beautiful ilovet thanks for sharing.
All your ideas were great! I wasn't sure your rounded rope planter would work but I think it turned out fabulous! 👍😊
Thank you so much! I actually ended up loving how it turned out!

I didn’t read any comments , so this may have already been said, but how about a hot knife (like for wood burning)?
happiness is homemade...love your diys

Love the planter
Love all your videos!! You're so correct in saying.....HAPPINESS IS HOME MADE 💙💜💙💜
XOXO 🤗💗🌸☀️🌷
Try a wood burning tool . It should cut through like butter. For removing the bottom of the bowl.
Your killing me smalls! Watching you cut out that bottom of the bowl had me laughing out loud! " I recommend you use all the things"! 🤣

Wow! Love the “wood” artwork! So creative.

Yes! Great idea!
Happiness is homemade! I love that copper metallic chalk paint. I'm going to get some of that for sure. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks! You too! XOXO 💗
