There’s so many ideas with an ant boss, it could be a Queen ant, a general given their strength in numbers or maybe even a Fire variant would be an interesting idea, having to freeze or submerge them to remove the fire.
It would be great if you added a way for players to tweak the functionality of objects / entities, such as, changing a goomba's speed, changing how fast a bullet bill cannon shoots, and the ability to change the size of an enemy however you like, e.g. make it 3 or 5 times the size. You can kick it up also. A neat and funny idea or detail, the bullet bill frowning once you're holding it, and an angry, shocked face when you throw or kick it. Also, a cool variant on the bullet bill, called the Rammer Bill, would have a ram shield, (i guess) would have a purple tint to it, a more angry face, fast, and can turn to the player and stop, and speed torward the player faster, spiked, slow (more dark pink) , faster (more pink), banzai / bigger (with the other parts available also for this one that I have just said) variations would be cool as well. 😅🙂

If you do plan on adding additional game styles, are you going to have game mode exclusive things or have it just be a visual thing like Mario Multiverse? Also, will it be fully grid based for everything or will some items be able to be placed off grid or on half tiles on the grid (like in ACNH)
I would love it (If it's not already in the game) if you were able to place the chain-link fences behind blocks and only be able to pass through when you're on the back side of the fence, or the other way around.
i really like watching the updates on the fangame because we can tell the game gets more and more accurate to all SMB/NSMB games we had in the past, great job !
Maybe you could add some new themes to the roster. Like the badlands/stone mountains, a quicksand desert or the castle tower theme from NSMB since there's no lava in that one.
Don’t forget the special boss arenas, or special course types, like castles. Or different super world types! Even, adding a whole bunch of other bosses in the Mario series. Who wants to see the giant lava octopus from SMG in this game, in SMB3 style? That would be sick.
Impressive work. I do hope that we get a Super Mario Maker 3. I don't expect another one on the Switch, though, seeing how Super Mario Maker came out on the Wii U and Super Mario Maker 2 came out on the Switch. I'm hoping they'll make use of the Super Mario Bros. 2 (US) mode and Super Mario Land 2 mode instead of Super Mario Land's, since I think the sprite work is much better from that game.
I think a cloud snake block would be a neat idea, you go through it, and maybe after awhile you can fall through it. I guess it would just be a donut snake block at that point.
I love your videos. you should add skipsqueeks, charging chucks, bullies, meowser, snakefwomps (they're like snake blocks, but they are fwomps). And boomerang bros, firespikes from mario wonder, lava bubbles throwers, and bullet bill throwers from mario world. (from Curren, 7)
Suggestion: the ability to change a boss’s moveset A boss you just placed will have the default moveset, but by changing the boss’s moveset, you can remove the sniper fire from bowser, make SMB1 bowser throw hammers, make boom boom clone himself like in 3D world, make Pom Pom do slam attacks like in 3D land, and much more.
You should change the camera to only update the Y position when mario is touching the floor. This is a small feature I've added into my own platformers and mario fangames, and it drastically improves game feel by insuring that the camera stays put while jumping and can still follow Mario wherever he ends up.
I think you should be able to enable and disable mini Mario running on walls, because if not then you could really break some levels, or when running down a wall that’s supposed to be a must you could just instantly fall, so adding a property to a wall that makes it so mini Mario can run up or down it is what I would suggest
hi i have idea the Golden Flawer ,golden ring and red ring, the two first from NSMB2 and idk for the red ring in from... Keep doing ! Your're the best Smashy! oh yeah, the super crown from NSMBUD (Transform mario into a prince)
You added a thing that prevents Mario from collecting coins if they're on the wrong side of the gate, but i think you should also add a check that if they're NOT on the fence, they can be picked up regardless of whether they're foreground or background
Please make a story mode. Here is the premise in the simplest way possible: Bowser finds the super hammer and plans to use its power to take over the world or worse, destroy it, by abusing the power of the super hammer. Mario has to stop Bowser from messing too much with the fabric of the universe. You like the plot I came up with in a few minutes? I based it on the very premise of Mario Maker.
Add a Daylight Switch. When you jump onto it, it switches to Night. And when it’s Night, jumping on it changes it back to Day. This could be really interesting. Maybe you could also add a variant that disappears when you use it the first time.
A suggestion for this game would be to add different characters to play as, just like Mario Maker 2 with Luigi, Blue Toad & Toadette as playable options. A suggestion for possible player characters to add to this game would be; Princess Peach. I always wanted a playable Peach in Mario Maker for some reason. Maybe also add Daisy, maybe even Yellow Toad so we could have the full Wonder cast (excluding the Yoshis & Nabbit) in there. They'd all play the same, like in Wonder -- so Luigi doesn't have his high jump, the Toads don't run faster, Peach can't float, Daisy can't double jump, Toadette can't swim faster -- this is also true in Mario Maker 2, where they all play the same. I wonder how the builder princesses would look, now that I think about it...
For the fences I think a wall that can only be on one side would be a cool way to force the player to be on one particular side in a more intuive way or maybe you could do that for any block and object. So spikes, on off, ect. Also let us scale the rotating fence. To make it larger and taller. When you add water. Could you add a Swimming buoy power up for items, enemies and blocks. Kinda like the parachute. But it amke them float on water. And lastly could you add bubbles in which you can place any item. Then they have 2 variants. Moving and static bubbles. And that's a cool Segway into a lat minute idea. What about a weather feature. Not really the right word. OK so in many games you have stages where there is flying bubbles all over the stage, wind, poison cloud, meteors ect. So I think that could be a nice idea as well for the future. Maybe it could work as a night time. Like for the wind. But it would also make the mix and mat h so if thats not too hard to code it would be amazing.
You should add mystery blocks that change depending on how big you are, like I’m Mario 1. If your small, then you’ll get a normal mushroom or something, if your powered up, you’ll get something else like a fire flower.

Why not make it so he can’t run up Ice walls?
@@HungryWarden I like the idea I just think it would be better if it were togglabe for decoration purposes
Missed opportunity to call it "making mario maker 3 because Nintendo n't".
The official Smm3 might come out in April 2024.
hi i have idea the Golden Flawer ,golden ring and red ring, the two first from NSMB2 and idk for the red ring in from...
This series is awesome :) I hope you add the shy guys in the game (not sure if you have yet)
As long as it has a Super Mario Wonder game style then I’m down
For the fences I think a wall that can only be on one side would be a cool way to force the player to be on one particular side in a more intuive way or maybe you could do that for any block and object.
Super Mario Maker 3? This is gonna be an epic fan-game. Keep it up!!
Great day when he uploads about his fangame.
The spinning gate animation would look much better if Mario's movement to the other side had a sine easing so he follows the rotation of the gate.
I have an idea: When you get 99 lives, Mario's hat dissapears like in NSMBW
You should add mystery blocks that change depending on how big you are, like I’m Mario 1. If your small, then you’ll get a normal mushroom or something, if your powered up, you’ll get something else like a fire flower.
This game is literally the embodiement of:
"Awh man why didn't they add this in the game that would've been better!"
This video was well worth the wait. Good job :)
You could make it so that when you obtain a star coin it shows a coin flip animation and lands on star or cloud but does nothing other than looks cool
You're doing something amazing here. Keep up the good work
I hope there’ll be new game styles and course styles
