- Former Queensland premier Campbell Newman says the Albanese government will run a “negative and inevitable scare campaign” against the Coalition’s nuclear energy plan.
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has announced his plan for nuclear energy will cost $331 billion over the next 25 years, according to research conducted by Frontier Economics.
“I think Queenslanders are less likely to be people who respond in a bad way to the negative and inevitable scare campaign from the Labor Party,” Mr Newman told Sky News host Steve Price.
“I think the Coalition are going to have to do a lot more work on the ground to fight.”
Nothing can scare me more than labor and that’s the truth
Same
I am not remotely interested in anything Labor says.
Labor has always been about poor policies, bad financial management, and personal attacks
I agree with you, so why do people still vote for them!!
@@lesblack413 It does beggar belief. They can`t have a thinking mind , just a mind that wants handouts.
@@lesblack413 : They don't vote for them, Labor only got 32% of the votes.
@@lesblack413 They are idiots!
@@lesblack413The people are gullible. Look no further than the union scare campaign in South Australia that got the Malinauskas Labor government elected after one term in opposition.
Nothing Labor says could scare me off Dutton.

I am amazed at people who decide an outcome before the facts and when facts are presented tgey discount them immediately. Ask yourself what are the experts saying.
You know they have nothing when they resort to a scare campaign. The gen cost report doesn't include storage and transmission for a reason.. it costs a Monza.
How much does waste storage cost? Dutts can't say.
@@Poorlineforeva how much does recycling and disposal cost on solar, wind and batteries ongoing?
@@TruthWarrior1 Still less than nuclear because you can gradually replace aging solar, wind and battery components with more advanced/efficient parts

Unfortunately there are many not informed voters. I have a friend who is just like this.
Unbelievable I know… but yes. Indoctrinated and not critical thinkers.
I personally can’t Stand to see Albanese’s “FACE” with his Lies, Deceit, any longer.
Labor are still living in the 1980s.
It could be argued thus
1980's? More likely late 1960's!
Labor run a 'Scare Campaign' anyway as a fact of life
Now watch Labor roll out the bull shit.
The Nuclear plan will require:
The world's first Small Modular Reactor, a technology which HAS NOT BEEN USED YET for this purpose;
to be built in a country without an established Nuclear industry;
after negotiating will all the states, and getting them to agree to drop the blocks at a state level;
in 11 years, while an authoritarian government using what is effectively slave labour (lookup Kafala) in the UAE took 13 years.
Oh, and this all assumes our needs for electricity will be LESS than Labor have accounted for.
Either these hosts don't realise any of these very basic and obvious facts from the report, or they are leaving them out on purpose to hide it from you....

You just proved his point! 😂 absolutely BS. With an attitude like your this country will go nowhere
For starters… the plan doesn’t use SMR! So your credibility is currently zero
I won’t argue, I don’t need to. Please tell me, in the proposal modelling released this week, what kind of reactors are being used in South Australia and Western Australia?
Watch the full 39 minute press conference announcement from yesterday in Brisbane, and get back to me, and let me know if “my credibility is currently zero” :)
@@LogicLostWhat's in nuclear submarines and air craft carriers?
SMRs mayhap.
Yep. If you are saying it’s the same thing, you’re correct. The purpose is different. A camping generator and a Cat 797F are both Diesel engines. Different purpose though. I wouldn’t think the Caterpillar haul truck would run too well with the camping generator powering it…
Their energy prices speak for themselves. They ain't scaring no one.
Kamala tried that.

This is all albo-tross and his cronies can do..!!! they haven't got a plan and the for the $275 (97 times) well thats gone..!!!
We wont be fooled thistime !!!!!!from the pmk
Dutton is the winner 🎉..Labor are out they've done nothing to help Australians all they've done is make it tougher ,bring on election 🎉🎉🎉
When Dutton wins it's going to take him a long time to clean up the Albanese mess!
We wont be fooled thistime !!!!!!from the pm
Labor have nothing to offer
Will albo every show is the true costing of his net zero scam?
Build a reactor at Lucas Heights right next to the one that exist. Plenty of land there. I live there
When i stopped travelling the country I stayed with a friend at Hammondville right near Menai National Park not far from the Lucas Heights reactor and my son lives in Engadine and he and I never gave the reactor a thought. There's never been a problem with the Lucas Heights reactor in all the decades it's been there.
It's pathetic 😮

Bring on a Federal Election! A vote for Dutton is a vote for lower power bills.
For all the scaring tactics about the safety of nuclear, why is it never brought up that we've had a nuclear reactor in an urban environment for the last 70 years
Good point🤔
And there's never been a problem. We also have Nuclear Medicine departments at every major hospital.

Use more coal and gas and get rid of renewables
Management has never been a forte of Labor. Tossing money around like confetti has though.
Also be mindful as he splashes money and promises around too….
ALP is finished 😊
Please Campbell, don't call them "farms", they are power generation plants. There is nothing agricultural about solar and wind power generation plants.
Let's be clear labor's failed pol8cy is in the downstream consequences. People like you and i are the ines who are doing the heavy lifting.

7 nuclear power plants have given the ALP their best hope in months.
We already have nuclear Albanese. It's called Lucas Heights.
Lucas heights isn’t used to produce energy though.
It’s used for research and it creates radioactive material for industrial use; it’s completely different to the type of reactor that is being proposed to power the country.
It won't work. I suspect most Australians, myself included, have already stopped listening to the Prime Minister.

There is only one way power will be cheaper. Stop Bowen's idiocracy and have most of our power coming from coal fired power stations. Just like in the old days.

You might be able to fool the few, but the rest of us know BS when we hear it.
Well conveyed Margaret. I hope yourself and families vote for good truthful party.
Labor cannot run a campaign on their achievements, they don't have any.
Labor doesn’t want the Australian people to have cheap reliable electricity or a Quality way of life otherwise they wouldn’t be driving all these renewables everywhere
I hope it works as well as the labour scare campaign in QLD. That backfired so hard because we see through labour now.
Well that's a given for this weak government.
The scare campaign started at his birth ( hospital went in to lockdown ?😂
Albo's rampage on taxpayer teat started the moment that bloke on a ship dropped his load. Has cost Australia tens of millions since doing sweet f a

Scare tactics don't frighten me , but the idiotic Labor government does
Oh no doubt ......they will be coming up with the most childish adverts you'll see in a long time.
Having a power system trying to run 94% on wind and solar is the biggest worry. Aside, there is no point Australia going down a 94% route, unless the rest of the world does the same.
The bullying will start.... negative ad will cost money?
Whose money????..
The failure of the coalition to provide any realistic costings will sink this plan. It costs too much and takes too long. Everyone understands this
and we are still waiting for the full cost of the green dream. why don't you ever mention that?
At what percentage of grid generation do intermittent renewables start to lower consumer electricity prices?
While you are talking costs…. 😂😂😂
I seems obvious that we should not be destroying our natural environment
Dutton needs to push the environmental benefits of no more wind farms and solar etc.
People are getting sick of seeing pristine land coverd in shit towers and mirrors !
All The Coalition have to do is show all the holidays AnAl has been on, point out he never delivered a single one of his “Promises”, point out kids live in tents now while foreigners are living in their old house, he is coming for your super, and the one i think is the worst is he stood in a mosque and told a heap of illegal immigrants from The Middle East they have more of a connection to this land because Indonesians are Muslims. Labor doesn't have to!
Building a nuclear power plant in Australia would likely cost twice as much as renewable energy.
So how much will nuclear bring Australia's bills down by? Well it turns out the modelling didn't take that into account.
why is peter dutton having to explain why nuclear power is what we need when we are getting nuclear submarines have labour forgotten they have ordered them is there not any nuclear waste from submarines if there is where is this going and why can we not have nuclear power then
Excuse me, did you just say Labor ordered nuclear subs. I think you should do a bit more research before making a statement like that. Question: which party does Scott Morrison and Peter Dutton belong too. There is your answer who ordered nuclear submarines.

Why is a climate sceptic concerned about the environment?
