California State has 38 million people and has only 2 nuclear reactors, with 3 being decommissioned, they would be in better position to make more but not its surprising they have found this more expensive than turning to renewables as the best option cost wise in the longer run. Australia has 26 million people and Dutton wants to build 7. Those figures released just do not add up. Also consider we are starting from scratch. We need real experts to pull this costing apart in next few weeks to see exactly how he got to such a lower-than-expected cost. Keep in mind that you can't do these things cheap and we will rely on foreigners who will be building this. They will milk Australia dry of money as they always have. This will make the Light Rail blow out look like a tiny costing oversight.
California is run by a concentration of left wing zealots and its cities are in serious decline. Germany closed all its nuclear power stations only to find that Russia stopped supplying it with gas. It is now planning to re-open 9 of their de-commissioned nuclear plants.
