Started this journey in '94.. Now 44yrs old and still loving these tracks from the 90's Although I don't participate anymore dont mean I have to fade away.
The video was shot at the Tribal Gathering Festival, 4th of May 1996. The festival took place in Otmoor Park, Beckley, Oxford, UK. Chemical Brothers, Leftfield, Underworld, Daft Punk, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Dave Clarke, Andrew Weatherall, The Advent, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Luke Slater, Darren Emerson,CJ Bolland, LTJ Bukem, Goldie, DJ SS, Pete Tong and many more took part in this event!
Thanks for this info. I've always wondered what is this event. Specially back in 1997 when you cannot just search for this kind of info on Google. You needed to have a friend who just knows. And looking at all these names, I wish I was there.
My mam and dad went to an underworld gig in their sixties which blew the minds of all my schoolmates who were there - they couldn’t quite get that they were really there for the music and it wasn’t a wind up or that they weren’t hallucinating
Если быть точным, то что вы описываете (Otmoor Park, Beckley) это Tribal Gathering'95 (6 мая 1995 года). Но в видео появляется надпись Tribal Gathering'96...
My son is sound tech and sets up stadium gigs in Spain, this is the tune he uses to test the system. To hear it blasting full volume on walls of speakers is epic.
Noice. We used to use Leftfield, Open up. There's something very special about dialing in a massive system to a track you know inside out. The hidden geniuses of the festival are people like your son.
Good times, good vibes, great music....NO toxic social media. Just you and your friends having a good time, no spending half your time taking selfies and worry about how you looked and who said what. You're at a club!!! Drink, dance, have fun... The 90s will be missed. 😥
Oh bliss....excitement....anticipation....freedom...opportunities.....(and no smartphones). 49 now. But I can still feel the vibe whenever I hear the music.
Lucky me, dancing this in the clubs those days! A smoke, good drinks, letting the beat move us. At the end of the night we all knew each other. Unforgettable era!
Back in 1995 I sat on a bus heading home, listening to the crackly radio on a walkman, it going in and out of reception. Then this song came on. The high I was on after hearing this, man I miss those days.
There's something magically nostalgic that gets me every time with this filmclip. Whenever it plays, I stop what I'm doing and just stare. That bassline is engraved in my brain.
Classic. The song and the video sure bring back a lot of great memories. What a great decade the '90s was and what a great time to be a teen. The last great decade indeed.
Was 20 when this was out! The bars with the dancefloors and strobe lights when this hit top note 2 minutes in wow❤❤absolute banger!!! The place shook!! Memories
I used to listen to this on my Sony Walkman when walking to school everyday. It was on an unlabeled mix tape and I have been looking for the name of the song for decades, finally found it today.
this video doesent only capture a brilliant track , but it captures so much more, the video is just amazing..... im in my 40s and i was on that scene at the time, living life, and the video captures that feeling sooooooo F well. it makes me remember and get almost emotional. thats a lie. i do get emotions! i used to love going to camden palace, first place i ever did pills.. i was a chef at the savoy and that first night of going there was one of the best nights of my life, then i started going to the fridge in brixton, anyone remb that place?
It really does capture the feeling of the time. I find myself smiling at some of the people in the vid, as they remind me of people I once knew who were part of the scene. And by the end of the night, many strangers had often become friends. I found the circle of people you knew just kept on expanding - every time you went out somewhere you met new friends. They were golden times for me, and for a lot of people, I'm sure.
Yoooo!!! Stoked!! Higher State of Consciousness - Josh Wink & The House of God - Dj Surgeon were the first 2 tracks to start off my crate waaaaaay back.. sometime before the pyramids were built... We used things called 1200's back then... 😎
1995! fuck me that makes me feel old, I remember hearing this in Bowlers which was the last time I went to a club in my 20's, I turned 30 a couple of days later, Jesus I felt old, now on my way to 60 I'd love to be 30 again, lol.
Aaaahhh the great 90's - freedom, fun, great music, awesome chicks and no social media... people who havrnt experienced those times truely dont know what that actually means......

This brings me back to sir henrys nightclub late 90s where i worked as a doorman at 25 years of age. Between keeping the dealers out and the druggies in and trying your best not to get carried away with the tunes along with it..... nostalgia right in the nuts!
I never took back handers nor did I hand lads over to the law when they were found to have anything on them in the club. So no I wasn't a narc. I just did what I was paid to do.
Minor, Major and slowly build, and then, leave you wanting more. Sounds easy, so one might dismiss it. Josh Wink didn’t. Still superb in 2021 and never gets old, Classic👍
My MOM of all ppl found this single on cd somewhere in Clearwater FL back when the song 1st came out and she gave it to me for xmas that year! I was so surprised & happy. I treat my music like gold typically but somehow this happened after I had it for a while but my roommate & i threw a party and some jerk stole it. We knew everyone that was there so decades later it still ticks me off that someone would have done that to me...✌️
