This video popped up in my newsfeed as I was approaching a par three for 174 yards.
Something told me to watch this video before I took my shot.
I covered the ball with my right shoulder like he said in the video and I hit the middle of the green straight shot.
I’m so thankful for the honesty and given of this channel.

Best and most thorough golf instruction yet. I have been playing 60 years and now with 2 arthritic knees, have found that hitting the ball with the Porzak method is so much easier and better. It demands one’s full attention and rehearsal but the reward is astounding. Yesterday I hit a 7 iron 120 yards, with a very satisfying strike. Before, I could not hit a driver that far.
Where have you been all my life?

Your instruction has helped me. At 72 years old, I played in my 9 hole league yesterday. My first 4 holes were not good. Bogey on first hole due to pull hook drive. Triple bogey on par 3 second hole due to lost ball off tee and terrible pitch and chip shots. Bogey on 3rd hole and double bogey on par 4 fourth hole with a poor drive and tree trouble. I realized I was losing my grip during down swing or just at impact. I've always tended to grip too lightly. On the 5th hole I started to focus on a firm grip all the way to my finish. Hit a good drive on par 5 and a great 3 wood to 58 yards. Stuffed the wedge within 5 feet but just missed my down hill breaking birdie putt. Hit a 6 iron on next par 3 to a 169 yard pin and made birdie. Good drive on 7th par 4 and hit the green. 2 putted for par. Good drive on 8th hole followed by a good 3 wood. Stuffed an 8 iron on front of green and 1 putt for birdie. 250 yard drive on number 9 and hit green with a two putt for par. Finished with a 41. I am happy!

It's good to see you teaching this, about how the right hip stays back and away from the ball, but all teachers are teaching that. It's the flavor of the month. Call it the squat, or whatever it's good, but what I learned from this and really like it is the right shoulder pointing down towards the left foot. Love that visual. 🎉

Made a couple of freeze frame screen shots of your "club across the chest" positions of the "stuck behind" and the "right shoulder over the left foot" version and got the wifey to show me how to get them "side by side" in my Word document journal. Blown away by how different they appear. Gonna finally cure both my "stuck behind" and "early release". Thank you!

My coach has been forever trying to get me to turn my hips faster, and have my hip turn at impact more than my shoulder turn. Watching Adam explaining getting the trail elbow to beat the trail hip pocket automatically for me gets me turning without 'trying to fire" my hips. Then it's a matter of keeping my rotation going so my rear hip replaces my front hip location facing the target.
Love both his verbal and visual explanations!

Hello Adam. Just found your videos tonight. Absolutely love your style of teaching, (no sycophant) you allow the viewer to learn, while teaching and giving praise when due to the student. Play at an o.k. level, but love to practice, and knowning what to practice makes it so much more enjoyable. The video on perfect rotation was really helpful, as I tend to miss short clubs to the right and could feel the lateral move but didn't know the cause. All the best to you and your team, from an appreciative Scottish follower who has fully subscribed and liked.

After watching this video, I went to my practice net and started hitting balls with the thought "right shoulder to left toe". I can honestly say that I've never felt such explosiveness in my swing. It felt like I found the Holy Grail of golf for me. I feel you are the best instructor on UA-cam, and I can't thank you enough. My only question is - Do I do this move with driver as well? It seems like it promotes a descending blow, which is ideal for irons, but not for driver. Will the forward ball position of driver cause the slight upward attack angle necessary?

    Hi Adam,
The shoulder moving out and around instead of 'down and towards the left foot' is, I'm guessing, largely responsible for over the top swings, as it immediately throws the hands out in front, and from there you can't possibly get the shaft back on plane?
Do you have any videos about the right shoulder?

Would you still class on his swing that the club is going through his forearm in the downswing. It seems to be more vertical than on plane, on the down swing. I have a tendency to do this also in my swing and also fire my hips first. Great video but just wandering is it an absolute key to have the club on the downswing on the same plane as the forearm

Like they don't have the flexibility to do it after years of doing it incorrectly? Not sure...all I know is it's really awkward and tough to do. Difficult to know if I'm really doing it correctly as well. Guess I just need to find a stretch for this particular move along with repetitive drill
