I was punk because I felt
I am a big CRASS fan after seeing them when I was 14 years old but this song has helped me so much after losing my dear departed brother suddenly at the age of 58 cheers to Igs and slice of life keep up the good work and the voice of the people

Saw Steve last night at the Dolls House, Abertillery, S Wales. Absolutely amazing and probably the most touching performance I have ever seen. It was a privilege to be there and witness it.
Yes! Stood in awe a couple of weeks ago about 3 feet away from him for the entire set. Big Crass fan, never heard Slice of Life before but was one of the best gigs I've been to. Superb.
Intense, nearly brought me to tears.
I swear punks have no business making music this lovely, great stuff I enjoy it.

This song really has me cut up about the passing of my awesome best friend Mark who has worked with Steve on some of his projects, who's funeral service went ahead yesterday. Lyrics really cut to the bone. "Blinded by our tears" .. "wallow in our pain". So glad that Steve was there with us at the ceremony, would have meant the world to Mark.
Inspiring to hear Steve doing this stuff after all these years... "banned from the Roxy" has passed for most, (obviously not me! :D ) but the light still burns brightly with Steve - legend.

What a transformation from the ANOK4U2 era, yet there's still an intensity to this man and his message. From the deeply apolitical to the deeply personal, then, just as now, he still pours his heart out. We are richer because he has shared his gift.
