      Saw corey take a couple thousand from a house pro spotting him the 6 out in a little run down pool hall...he kept it close to make the guy feel like he could win...when he was 3 games ahead he just dogged balls or purposely played bad position...

    I played with Corey for years . He was the reason pattern racking was banned. Mad scientist for breaking.

    Awesome! ... Corey does is legal it is how he sets up the rack.. ball goes in the corner pocket and the stripes end up on one side of the table and solids on the other. brilliant! pool magic.🎱👍

    What size table is that?

  • @peterday1834

    The first rack was probably one of the craziest things I’ve seen as a result of an 8 ball break.

    • @bassinbilliards6279
      @bassinbilliards6279 3 роки тому +1

      That's not crazy at all. He's deliberately stacking the rack and breaking from said angle with medium power to separate the solids and stripes. There's literally videos on how to do this and it should be illegal at this level!

    • @peterday1834
      @peterday1834 3 роки тому +1

      I agree that they shouldn’t allow it at this level. But if they do, take advantage. That’s my point, the fact he pattern racks and is able to do that pretty consistently is insane, and this is the craziest result I have seen. Don’t care how good anyone thinks they are, this takes insane skill! Anyone can break and run a table these days. But to master different types of breaks and taking advantage of the rules in tournaments that allow it and to take advantage of the players who complain about the rule, is smart.

      @@bassinbilliards6279 it actually did get banned. I played pro for 12 years and towards the end of my career they started banning it from tournaments. Corey actually cause havoc on 2 breaks. His soft break eventually tourneys asked for that to be banned and also pattern racking. He then started using the bridge to break .

      @@jimmysupafly1547 I know they stopped corey but there's still tournaments in which pros rack their own and use it to their advantage.

  • @MrNitekram

    I would say this goes against the rules, even if the balls are different each time...what is the difference of putting strips or solids in the same location, so when he soft breaks, all of the other group are all grouped next to the rack (within a foot on the first break)...it should be stripe/solid around the outside, that would alleviate this from happening again.

    • @michaelwade4758
      @michaelwade4758 2 роки тому +2

      People's response or solution to "pattern racking" is always alternating stripe and solid on the outside. But this in and of itself is pattern! I have always been baffled by this logic. If this whole "pattern racking" is really seen as an issue, then have a ref rack the balls or in situations where this is not available simply make everyone rack exactly the same pattern each time for every game.

    • @Billabongbabalog
      @Billabongbabalog Рік тому

      @michaelwade4758 Isn't this bar? If so, he isn't cheating. Being cheeky with the rules maybe but not against the rules.

    Corey is not breaking any rules in his racking. Only rules are 8 ball in the center and n solid in one corner and a stripe in the other. Learn the rules of the game before you claim someone is cheating.

    • @Zenthex
      @Zenthex 5 років тому +7

      I'm not claiming he's cheating, he's obviously just doing what he thinks he need to do to win. However, pattern racking is offensive to me as a spectator. I want to see the players make good shots, not set themselves up for the easiest ones and definitely not set their opponent up for impossible run-outs.

    • @crondawg101

      it is 100% boring for spectators.
      I wonder why no set of American 8-ball rules requires exact locations for each suit.
      English 8-ball has an exact configuration for racking and ergo pattern racking is impossible

    Cory started out with an illegal rack. Look at where all the stripes are before and after his break shot. I've noticed this before. IMO, he can't be trusted, anything to win, and I mean pretty much anything. They've had to change some rules just because of him. :| pip
