Ohio State fan here... Born & raised in CBUS Ohio. I’ve never been able to split my fandom but you guys are the classiest program I’ve ever seen. I’m a fan. Congrats and stay the course and keep believing in yourselves. You can’t fail as tough as you are.
Thanks Mike. I was sorry to see the Ohio State game cancelled this weekend. It would have been good to see you guys be able to play a game somewhere. Husker fan and B1G teams fan.
As a Buckeye Fan, it was nice to a Nebraska win. I believe Nebraska is on the trajectory to compete and beat Wisconsin as McCaffrey settles in. Nebraska plays hard and with a few more peices around Luke, they will be a dynamic offense. Will Wan'dale be gone next year?. Its unfortunate JD left this season for you guys because he would have made an even bigger impact. Hang in there Nebraska fans, Frost clearly changed the culture. Good win today regardless what people say of PSU. PSU probably has the second best recruitment classes behind OSU.
Man I am glad our boys held it at the end!!! They finished strong! And thank you Coach Frost for starting LUKE! No disrespect to Adrian, but I knew Luke would spark it up today! I know it's a 0-4 Penn State team, but they will be back! Good game especially at the end! I couldn't sit down!! Lol. Great team win HUSKERS!!!! GBR!!!!!
I think Scott Frost is one of the finest young coaches in America. He was certainly one of the toughest QBs I've ever seen when he played at Nebraska. I hope the program has some patience with him... he'll get them back to prominence.
I was informed by the local genius that I was "stuck with Scott Frost" golly after listening to Scotts post game conference I feel kinda glad about it. Of course my expectations are much lower than someone with such in-depth football knowledge as our Yahoo Sports Troll.
Penn state is not bad even though their record makes them look bad. They’ve got a bevy of 4-5 star guys out there and were charging hard to get back in the game but our D held strong in the red zone !! But come on Coach, spark up. Get drunk or smile or something!!
Nice to see Nebraska get a win. Sure it’s a down year for penn state, but a win always gives teams more confidence. Expect Nebraska to come out swinging next week.
Once they took a good lead they adjusted their game plan, as far as I can tell this change resulted in Penn State outscoring Nebraska 17-3 in the 2nd half and having an opportunity to tie or even take the lead late in the game. Scott said it reminded him of Colorado, but the fact is it reminds fans of many games where we led by 2 scores only to lose the game. Maybe it's time to keep being aggressive and stop adjusting to a game plan of being scared to lose.
We won. But it felt more of a relief than a victory. Scott is spot on - the team needs to learn how to win games. This is a good move in the right direction, but this could've easily been a loss. Winning games is much more than scoring points.
Congrats Cornhusker nation! This was just what the doctor ordered. The team now knows they can win a close one. Penn St's last two drives ended up with first and goals and the defense came up huge and won the game at the end. Can't turn the corner without a win like this. That's a very young team out there. Things looking up.
Really glad they way our defense has played in these last two games. Theyre fighting hard, flying all over capitalizing on psu mistakes. Three straight drives at the end won it for us when we couldve use atleast a field goal.. And seeing #9 on defense leading with his head like 4 times.... C'mon man...
Very simple way to look at this. Huskers were the better team for the first half, Penn was the better team in the 2nd half. Pretty much even. In the end the Huskers did just enough on defense and Penn did just enough shooting themselves in the foot to tip the scale.
Why does Kade Warner continue to play? We talk about the lack of downfield passing game...maybe that has something to do with starting a subpar athlete with terrible hands...He seems like a great kid, and i wish him nothing but the best, but he is not a d1 level WR, regardless of whether he better understands the playbook.
@Real Talk I don't even think the walk on part is the reason. There have been incredibly successful walk ons, even at skill positions. Warner just isn't a very good player. He isn't athletic, has subpar hands, shows no ability to find holes in zone secondaries, and isn't a top tier perimeter blocker. Again, I have not issue with him as a captain and team leader, but as a starting wide receiving he's clearly out of his element as an athlete,
Win is a win just remember Penn st was a powerhouse for yrs there. Have to take your wins when you can get them have to get them when there down. No team is going to feel sorry for you and will kick you when your down.
He has stuff tailor made from adidas that isn't available to the public which is like real stupid on adidas' part. He had hoodie on that was really cool.
100% correct! Whoever called that play on 3rd down on the last series to pass and stop the clock and save penn state the time out and give them a chance to win needs to be fired.
Wandale simply can’t take the pounding from the RB position in the BiG. Yes, he is talented, yes, we need to get him the ball but not between the tackles!
Chuck Dowling I agree. I mean look at what happen to him last year when they used him at running back,he got beat to hell. Frost needs to stop being so conservative and make these freshmen prove themselves.
Last year is a good example of what will happen if we keep running him between the tackles! We have good enough running backs, bigger and stronger than Wandale, get them the ball between the tackles get Wandale the ball in space and let him work.
If you have a game plan prior to the game that you think is going to work, I don't see why you would want to change it half way through the game just because you're ahead. Seems to me you risk changing to something that won't work - which in effect they did. The offensive plan in the second half did not work. So here is the way I see it - - if Nebraska would have been behind at the half, they would have stuck to the original plan and that presumably might have given them enough points to at least be close at the buzzer, and maybe eek out a win. Since they were ahead at the half, they switched to a conservative plan which gave Penn State an opportunity to at least be close at the buzzer, and maybe eek out a win. In either scenario, you essentially rely on "luck" to give yourself the win. That means you win about half your games plus or minus. Not a good strategy. If you're winning, you keep doing the things that caused you to be winning in the first place.
@@hskrwr9495 defense scored 10 points. The defense played 37 minutes and was on the field for 90 plays. The first season of Frost's offense looked good. Big plays. Ozigbo rushing for 100 yards a game. Seems like other teams have figured Frost's scheme.
Did it take the fact that Martinez leads career turnovers of all active players in the Big Ten did that convince you that maybe he wasn't the best quarterback that you kept playing and losing with man about time you figured out football good God dummy now win some more games.
Yay ... we beat a horrible, winless team!!! at home? Barely! and this is the new Nebraska ... just happy for a win! Onward to three wins and more irrelevancy! GBR!

why do you ask if Wan'dale will be gone? He is only a sophomore and I don't think he is ready for the NFL.

No, Penn State isn’t bad! Are you kidding? This was their only chance to win a game this year - just like the cornhuskers.
Lol. Enable PSU with the goal of making Neb look better. You Neb fans are FING pathetic.

And Penn State needs how to show up in the 1st half. So your excuse and my excuse cancel each other out. Neb by 7 over a horrible team.

You spend too much time worrying about the players emotions. You put the QB out there that gave you the best chance of winning.
Where can you buy a black jacket like Frost is wearing?
