- Engine 7, ladder 1 and battalion 1 responding out of the fire house. As usual cars are parked blocking the fire trucks. Watch until the end to see the sign that everybody ignores.

I feel like every time a department gives them crap, they get added to the sign.
I love the zoom in at the end of the sign about being "ticketed and towed!" I had a chief tell me once, and he was serious, who cares if they are parked in your way, that's why we have the front bumpers! Push the SOB outta the way!

Last time I was in New York I did some station hops, they let you into the station, but patches shirts etc take pictures. I wanted to visit this one but couldn’t make it.
Reason being my hometown Scranton the engine No that protected my end of the city was engine 7, the spare truck that I also parked in that station is truck 1. Some nostalgia for me. Maybe next time. Thank you for sharing.
How in the world do the engineers get those huge trucks inside the House....ohhh I forgot...they make 5000 runs per year…..lol..great job..

caserne que j ' ai visité en famille en Octobre 2017 , ou j ' ai remis un casque de pompiers Français en cadeau , qui fût fort apprécié . J ' ai découvert des gars bien sympathiques . N' oublions pas que cette caserne a été la première sur les lieux des attentats du 11 Septembre ( voir le documentaire des frères NAUDET ). Nous avons pu prendre quelques photos , et mon fils a eu droit a essayer un équipement . Merci les amis . Nous n ' oublierons jamais ! We will never forget !!!!! TANKS !!!!!!!! That tower ladder is a big truck! Emergency response in NYC must be hellish.

Most of the US firefighters do that. They lay them next to the truck the only things inside is their coats and helments inside.
In Australia it's illegal to be parked in front of emergency vehicle entries and the road is marked as such.

I can't believe that car was parked in front of the station! He's lucky he didn't get towed and cited. The ones who won't move out of the way of a firetruck trying to get through traffic also should be cited. I admire and respect all firefighters for doing a difficult job and have no respect for people who think their time or getting to that appointment, dinner, etc. is more important. Don't know what's worse, people like that or the looky-loos.

Aren’t they supposed to put their gear on and be in the truck in seconds?
With there response time records and having a smaller responding area that they cover they are able to take a few extra seconds plus the traffic is blocking them
There in NYC they ain’t getting anywhere too fast tbh
its not that hard to do in the back, im a FF, and our scba's are in the seats, we already have our pants on, and jacket, its takes 20 seconds to get the airpack on and ready for use.
sometimes there is not enough room to actually do all of that inside and then get in the truck
From your videos it seems that it needs to be ran a commercials and even radio ads. They have delays for getting out of their fire house.
