- Comparing that which Otzi had on him when he died and what survival needs/tasks he could accomplish with his gear and what equivalen equipament we carry on us nowadays, when we walk into the bush and must take care of the same aspects and needs he had to face and deal with back 5300 years ago (other than the ice age of course).

Great video! Liked and 2 big thumbs up. We too find Otzi so interesting and the history behind him and the finding of him is worth a great wealth of information.
Thank you brothers! Man I wish we could get to the bush with a bunch of friends here, thatd be great! Take care friends!
Thank you hermano! I truely appreciate your comments and above all your friendship! Take care brother.
Im glad your enjoying learning more about Otzi. He has got the interest of all kinds of people and Im sure more stuff will come up on his story as cience keeps researching him really often. Thanks buddy!
Good old Ötzi - he certainly was one of the bushcraft pros back then ... probably they all were in those days, because it was everyday life.
Very interesting talk - thanks very much!
Im 100 with you on this one dude! We ARE them. Otzi might as well have been a "mateiro" Bushman here in Minas In Brazil. That makes us a big and old bush family, cause we just cant help feeling this connection with him when we look at his gear and what ha was doing with it. I dont know... It´s beyond the reach of my words... but I feel it everysinglefreeking time Im out there alone in the bush, man... Thank you for your comments anyway buddy!
Thank you brother! It´s really hard to do the stuff in 2 languages as you know. Plus I always get to see all kinds of mistakes I make after I have edited the whole thing. Then I go: "man I didnt say it like that!" lol or "Gee I mispelled that word real bad". But I try to do my best although I know I´ll never be able to express myself in English as well or as clearly as I do it in my own language. Thats why I REALLY appreciate your support my friend! It´s important to me man!Take care Ed brother!
You gotta point there my friend. In his days you either mastered all the bush skills needed to survive or you´d not last very long on this planet! Thanks for the comments!
Wonderful discussion my friend! You did a wonderful job breaking down the different aspects and how they relate to now. The similarities between now and then are so interesting. Except for the part about getting shot at - at least for me... : o) Thanks a bunch and take care.. : o)
Very cool video Giuliano!
Excellent video! First detailed account I've heard of how the items he had would have been used.
Thank you man! I appreciate it!
"Bushcraft Cancun"
Thank you!
Thanks Tony! Please say hello to your family brother for me!
Wow this was very awsome. I did not know anything about the "cave man" (for lack of a better term) that you did this video of. It is a great thing you have done here, showing the stuff he used & the why's along with the modern day equivelents.
got a new subscriber here.
Fantastic video. Great comparisons of modern day and "stone age" man. Stone age SAK was awesome, though if worn in a pocket, I think my pants might fall off :).
Take care.
Larry
I Love this video!
LOL now thats a very interesting theory my friend!
Thank you my friend! Happy 2013!
I find the story of Ötzi very interesting. Your analysis here has reminded me of how similar to modern people the way of life back then really was. Well, they WERE modern people.
And we tend to think that they must have craved for better, more modern tools.
But back then, these tools WERE modern tools. It was the best there was around, and for him to have a copper axe, must have been like today to have an iPhone 5 and show it off :-)
Cheers
PS. I love the stone age swiss army knife :-)
Im 100% with you sister! Being arrowed in the shoulder´s gotta hurt like hell! That and the ice age are not very good things for modern humans! :) Take are my dear friend!
My theory is he was ex-special forces turned survival school teacher. He was arrow shot by his hippy partner for making fun of his barefoot ways. His internal parasites were from drinking flooded hippotamus water during a dual survival episode. Of course their recent counterparts have improved themselves through reincarnation and have partially outgrown such vengeful acts. lol Just kidding. Interesting video. Keep up the good work..
Esse video foi postado em Portugues a duas semanas atras. Ta aqui no meu canal tbm. Valeu.
Gracias hermano!
Good morning G. That line about reincarnation was just a joke. I hope no one thinks I really believe in that foolishness. - Although I once did in a previous life.
