My wife and I were married in 1981. We spent a total of about $1,200 (about $3,600 in 2023 dollars) which included our rings, dress, reception, and honeymoon. Her ring barely had a diamond chip on it. My wife and her family and friends did all of the flowers and food. It was a nice wedding with a few hundred people. Our honeymoon consisted of going to a cheap motel near Louisville and going to a movie and dinner. We are still together. What people spend on weddings is crazy.

Beneath that unassuming soft-spoken demeanor lies evil and rage. He absolutely detested her. He suggested she wanted him for what he could give to her. He hated her for asking him for things. Her not choosing a $1,000 ring but a $15,000 ring was galling enough for him to mention, thus why he plotted revenge and told her after he'd had enough that he had another "surprise" for her before brutalizing her. He hated that he was broke and likely felt worthless claiming he once was a millionaire, and he hated her for wanting expensive things from him. He just can't say that because he prefers to come across as a victim helpless to and overtaken by some unknown force rather than the vile rage-filled monster that he is. He premeditated but spoke like it was unforeseen. I'm not buying the act - he's about as gentle as Jeffrey Dahmer.

Then his repeating certain parts of the story, the way he says "now tell me again, im getting up in age too & i forget these things" he actually sounds believable, while some do NOT while using this technique. Hes very respectful & really does a good job at sounding empathetic which we can see causes him to open up even more, hes throwing in details that are totally unnecessary but dig his grave deeper & deeper.

He could have been honest with her- maybe she woulda said she didn’t care, and they could have done a quickie marriage at the courthouse instead, and faced life’s challenges together. Then again maybe she would have gotten mad and left- which would have shown him that she was there for the wrong reasons anyway. The real issue here is that his ego was tied to his financial success, so when he lost that, he chose to go the darkest route possible and self destruct. Now a woman who had family and good life is dead because she fell prey to his lies. May God protect her innocent soul. He was a liar, pretending he was rich to seem big, successful, something he wasn't, throwing money around he didn't have to try impress her, to make himself feel good, not to spoil her or treat her well, to make himself feel good and important. She wouldn't have picked a 14, 000 dollars ring if he hadn't pretended he was rich FFS. That's not a nice polite man's actions. His ego wouldn't allow him to own up to being broke, he liked to pretend he was something he wasn't, that isn't what a nice, polite man does. A nice polite man wouldn't have let her think he was rich. Wouldn't have lied about who, what he was. A nice polite man wouldn't have bought a baseball bat days before for one sole reason, to use it on her. It wasn't even a spare of the moment act of anger or rage, he couldn't face feeling belittled and a liar, not being the man he told her he was. That isn't nice or polite. He was nothing of the sort. He fooled her into thinking he was rich. Overspent on things to keep up with that lie. Nice polite men don't do that. You are a terrible judge of people if you think he was such a nice, polite man. Nothing of the sort. Saying please and thank you and talking like a good ol' boy doesn't make somebody nice and polite. Guys an utter psycho freak FFS. He was afraid he’d lose her but HELLO, now he has lost her for sure and stole her life from her and everyone who loved her. Not to mention his life is over? The poor dog that he was concerned enough about to take for a ride and so forth is without its owner. How can anyone be this dumb, crazy, and just evil? I know that sometimes women can be demanding but if you’re going to marry someone you must be honest and lay it out. If there is love then you figure it out together. This is just the craziest ridiculousness.

I believe there's more to his stupid bs story.
I read a bit more online.
I think that HE is the one who mentioned marriage, not her.
I think that he bragged about his fortune, only omitting that he'd lost it. I bet he talked about being successful and about his successful brothers, the dentist and the deceased criminal lawyer.
I think that when he found out that she had cancer, he may have said he'd be there for her.
      She may have misunderstood him,
      or, he actually proposed.
There is no way this successful business woman would just drag this guy to buy a
$14,000.00 ring out of the blue.
I also think that he's wondered/thought about murdering someone for a looong time.
Now, having dug himself in hole with his lies to Vickie, having no assets, no money, nothing, at 61, he may have thought I can kill someone and if I end up in prison I'll have free housing, free medical & dental, free food, free clothes, free everything & no more worries.
I think he's a heinous lying coward. I hope he rots.
      May Vickie rest peacefully.
      Be safe out there!

I wonder if any of y’all have counted how many times he has repeated “I didn’t know what to do” in this video? He’s totally drilling it into these cop’s heads that he just didn’t know what to do & that’s why, do stop asking me why. 😂
I think he DID know what to do, and I think it was this. He put enough thought into it that he wanted to cover it up- he knew a gun would be too loud, & he thought a few other things through. To reiterate my other comment😂 (sorry) this motive just is not adding up for me. It’s ridiculous.

Not everyone is like him. To deny yourself a future relationship because of worrying that all men are bastards is just wrong. We aren't. Most are perfectly normal and loving. I get you may be scarred by previous relationships but not all men are bad or intent on hurting anybody least of all somebody they love or care about. Sorry but your fear is irrational and may rub off on your child. It's not healthy to hold such views. Being careful about relationships is a much better attitude than simply avoiding them completely. The odd bad apple doesn't mean every apple is bad. Better to love and be loved than to never love at all because of an irrational fear. Good far far outweighs evil. One bad choice doesn't mean every choice is going to be bad. 🤔👍
