@TookALevelInBadass I know normally at higher Level, robots are easily killed, but NieR Automata is one of very few games that actually allowing gamers to perform hacking down to its own binary code. The debug feature which already came with the complete game (including DLC) also allowing user to modify enemy's HP and behaviour, in this case the robots HP can be infinite. There's a tutorial how to do that. No cheat or Trainer needed.
Thats what I was thinking. I didn’t realize this game lent it self to such tech in high level play. I used to not really consider automata a “character action” game because i felt in comparison to its peers in the genre it felt a little rudimentary somehow, but obviously im wrong

It's frustrating to me how players like donguri can see the game in such a fundamentally different light than I seem to. So much of this stuff is so far out of my league that I couldn't even come up with it, nevermind execute any of it.
You just need practice, and it's okay if you're not donguri level, I'm not either and I still enjoy DMC/Bayonetta/Nier: Automata with my limited skillset. Games are about having fun.

For people who aren’t like that and just prefer a fun, non complicated action game, it works perfectly well in that way too.
I honestly don’t even know how to execute most of this let alone what buttons are being pressed there are some moves here that I haven’t discovered in the 200 hours I’ve played
@@thebigzan the first time you have access to the desert at early game, try to access that underground Robot Cult Basecamp. Try to complete the whole challenge, you will obtain Tiki Mask to wear and preventing you from getting further Exp.
Late as hell to this game (Jan 2020) and I am down the rabbit hole. I have fallen so deeply for a game that gave me questions to humanity and ethics existence and the pure power of emotions and its actions. By far one of my Favorite Video game of all time. I fallen so deep for Yoko Taro’s works and have binge on NieR, NieR:Automata and Drakengard 3-Now just needing where it all really began- Drakengard. I can see so much improvement in the games and just wow. The stories are intriguing as hell and ugh- Automata’s controls/moveset is the most amazing thing in the world! Platinum games nailed it SO well! Again, sorry I was so late to this outstanding game franchise but its better to be late than never. Thank you Yoko Taro.

Ok, I knew that there was crap load of items I missed, like the hookshot. But holy crap you can animation cancel with self destruct?! Still limited in use since almost end of every combo knocks opponents away, but damn is it useful midair
Another reason this game was so great, the fighting moves are so smooth and well choreographed and animated that it could just as easily be in a cutscene.
I feel old now. When I was between 13 and 17, I used to be able to do stuff like this playing games like god of war and the devil may cry games. But now that I’m 25 and have a full time job, I don’t have NEARLY as much time to practice anymore.
Amazingly I didn't think of Automata being a combo-mad capable game since it doesn't rate your battle performance, but of course Donguri makes combo dreams come true.
Fun fact: 9S's Japanese VA is the same VA as Ken Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul 2B's VA is also the same VA as Mikasa Ackermann from Attack on Titan. After knowing these facts, i can't unhear them again as Mikasa and Kaneki.
I love this game, have 90+ hours on it, after watching this video I know I'm only scratching a surface, so I'm gonna start a new playthrough focusing on the fighting system! Thanks YT for putting this on my feed.

The thing is as soon as i played the story with a friend and got access to the rope programm I knew that it would be perfect to chain some combos, I just didnt know how to execute them.

You answered your own problem. Search it up on how to carryout the Debug mode to be used outside special stage. You will feel like a True Hacker.
Greze there's the lvl 25 golden bois at City Ruins, despite being lvl 99 myself, those dudes are hard to take down unless you hack
Only way i found to balance the game was being underleveled. Its awfully unbalanced in terms of power and stuff.

Meanwhile my fighting skills consist of mashing buttons and missing lasers due not not locking on to the enemy
Locking to enemy can only be used in Easy or Normal mode, from hard and up, locking enemy will do nothing
