Hey guys, I'm Alastair from Trail and Kale, and this is my Teva AvenTrail review. Today I have an interesting blend of a sandal and a trail running shoe. The Teva AvenTrail is the first trail running product from Teva, combining the airiness of a sandal with the performance of a trail running shoe. I had the pleasure of being one of the first testers for this unique shoe, and I’m excited to share my thoughts and performance review. Let’s see if they’re worth the $145 price tag!

Let me know if you have run in sandals before - what did you think?? :) -Alastair
I haven’t but they do look quite fun to try!
I love running in sandals. I prefer minimalist ones though.
@W1ldt1m which ones do you run in?
Do it!
@@trailandkale I’ve run in Xero Z-trail, and Luna Monos
The heaven of getting dirt and gravel between your feet and insoles... Unless you cross rivers very often they're IMHO a total (expensive) nonsense.
It depends what type of trails you run them on.
They look like they’d be great for travel as well as running and hiking. Do they dry quickly if they do get wet?
They do! The knit upper drys quickly
Id break a toe first time no doubt! I trip up at least once on an any given trail run.
😄 maybe give sandals a miss then
Thank you for the review
How do you feel they would handle the road?
I run in very hot and humid climate and these look super interesting
Thanks
Quite a few of us agreed they perform really well on the roads. We had quite a long road section to get back to our finish point and the cushioning makes it a pleasure!
I'd be concerned about having my feet super dirty or sunburned...Not a bad idea... but I will pass. I am not much of a sandal person. I am sure people will buy it just for the comfort and cool looks...
Yeah that’s a good point about the sunburnt feet. I wonder if feet are less likely to get sunburnt than the rest of the body. Does anyone know? Is that a thing? lol
