That's the reason the turbocharger is absolute value. Fast vehicles shouldn't get super boosted speed. Slow vehicles should get super boosted speed. If it was a percentage increase then fast vehicles would be insanely fast and break the game, and slow vehicles might as well not even use it. That would be the opposite of the intended effect

haha yeah, if it would be like 10 percent, the tog would only get +1.4 km/h buff, which is like nothing. But use it on a Type 64 and that tank would go nearly 80. That would be broken af.

True, but in part the slow vehicles are balanced around the slowness. If you remove that drawback then it boosts their strength by quite a huge amount.

Note - this also transforms the Hetzer. Vents, Turbo, and Grousers - and it keeps up with the Stug - a tier lower. Just amazing mobility and ability to re-position.
It also does the same for the Rhm B WT. Getting stuck on a hill no longer happens. Shooting and reversing and having the enemy shell go just over your head - that now is a thing. It's just the best module in the game for slow tanks. But the TOG with Turbo is fantastic.

Personally, I would replace vents with Spall Liner. -50% dmg form KV-2 & arty is worth more than +5% crew.
My experience with spawliner is horrific. To the point that I sold my IS-4. Conqueror GC hits IS-4 for 600. ON SPAWLINER AND KILLS 2 MEMBERS. That's game breaking for me. Arty's made me quit the game for good.

Thats not how a spall liner works unfortunately. It is one of the worst pieces of equipment in the entire game. It doesnt reduce HE dmg, it only doubles the value of the armour that reduces the original damage of the HE shell. So high damage HE hits will still do high damage, it only helps with low dmg HE hits which arent a problem anyway. You should definitely use a gun rammer instead, i dont know why QB prefers vents. A rammer is especially good for tanks with a high rate of fire, just like the tog

I, too, was excited for turbocharger shenanigans. Then I was reminded that Tog's greatest nemesis is not the KV-2, but arty. The superheavy spall liner was just too important to sacrifice.
The spall liner doesnt help at all with that, definitely drop it for the turbocharger. The explanation of the spall liner ingame is completely wrong
I also kept the super spall liner, but I dropped vents for turbocharger & HP equip. Sometimes it helps on spg, but usually spgs will pen, which means spall liner doesn't help. IIRC, spall liner only reduces HE when the HE shell fails to pen. I figured spall liner might help against numerous tanks with derp guns that fail to pen.
@@naejin it does "help" with non penetrating HE shells, but the actual reduction of the damage is laughable. The game tells you "-50% damage from HE shells" but thats straight up wrong. It only doubles the value of the armour that reduces the damage of the initial HE splash. So it doesnt help with high damage HE hits, it only helps with low damage HE hits which dont matter anyways. You should definitely drop it for a gun rammer
the spal only works on stun time and getting crew knocked out. it doesn't reduce non pen damage.

Seriously what goes through the mind of these people? He just let QB farm him to the point why backup when your almost dead? Just die and let him have the damage
It's the concept of position over damage thats difficult to reach for most players in these occasions. They see a shootable enemy and their mind goes "MINE MINE MINE" without having one thought about their surroundings. It is a phase all or most players go through when they begin and lots never leave this stage behind.
Last time I played my TOG (same exact build as QB, full repairs crew) I got hit by an M44 in Berlin 8 total times from full health to vehicle destruction. I messaged him after the battle and he was purely focusing me because I was in a TOG. Some people have no soul.

Fancy, I was playing a LOT of TOG games earlier and won almost every single one! But then I hit a brick wall.
*3 Enemy TOGs with 1700+ HP lumbering altogether in a TOG-pack.*
That's ALOT of meat to chunk through and we lost that game because of them LMAO.
I looooove that Wargaming has made the Turbo-charger a Set value. Imagine what a silly equipment it would be if it added the most oumf on a tank like the EBR that definitely DO NOT need it. The fact that its a hard value, makes it relevant on slower tanks, and some mediums where it helps you get into positions that little bit faster - without breaking the top-speed-tanks like EBR etc
You can't put a turbocharger on an EBR anyway. And you wouldn't want to bring one, you would rather have optics, vents, CVS or low noise exhaust.
If Blitz had this camo, plus Gravity Event. it'll be a flying sausage Tog
I feel a disturbance in the farce a trio of super tog's quacky baby, jangles and a pointed jedi strolling through the land in their turbo charged beer cans reeking havoc upon a unsuspecting internet.
Had Turbocharger on Maus first. But I went back to a Firepower setup (The one where u dont burn etc for once, Gun Rammer and the one with the small stabilizer and faster rotation)
Tanks for this ;) It's been awhile since I drove mine.. had one back in the day, but sold it to the immense ridicule one gets in battle :( However, it was on sale this spring/summer, and was inspired by the TOG battle you and Jingles earlier in the year lol I added the newer Equip, and it's pretty cool - esp with extra speed and armour o.0 Thanks for sharing!

I think that the best changes to make related to this would be to buff the speed of the TOG a bit and make turbo give a 2kph AND 5% bonus to forward and reverse speed. So, a 35kph/10kph tank would become 38.75kph/12.5kph; while a 70kph/20kph tank would become 75.5kph/23kph.
Could this turbo be usefull in a rammimg KV5?

Hi QB, I wanted to thank you for suggesting I use my twitch tokens to get the TOG, I was able to get the camo and other goodie too. The TOG doesn't look like a fun tank to play but it really is. I love playing in this tank it's very different than the tanks I usually play and gets some strange looks on the battlefield which is helerius. ❤

The biggest problem I have in my tog is getting to battle in time to shoot at anything. Maybe this will greatly help that. Ty. And I love my tog.

turbocharger and groceries that give +10% to engine power instead of fire fighting.
Also to swap vents with -40HE dmg, as many tier 6 use derp guns.
Then its actually good tank to play with :P

Interesting points in terms of tank balance. Usually, WG has to strike a balance between making all tanks more or less the same generic mush, or making some tanks extreme cases that get very high stats in one area but very low stats in others. Nowadays they try the third way out for new ones: extra mechanics, but the old ones are stuck with their stat-based tank diversity. Equipment 2.0 really revives those extreme-stats tanks, because it makes balancing out the extremely bad stats much more possible than the old equipment system did, and as a result you can end up with tanks that are now half-decent in their worst stats, and stupendously good at their best ones.
TOG II is NOT meant to go that fast...dammit I got a nosebleed watching this. MADNESS.

Looking up other real world super heavies. Shame they didnt build the 'flying elephant' (a 100 ton tank). Though you could try this with the already competitive Tortoise.
Happy Birthday Quicky. I think I have the turbo on it but I did not do the HP boost, definitely going to do that now. That camo is hideous. I was tickled when they came out with it and immediately got it for my Tog2. Then I seen it and crashed down hard on the excitement to show it in battle to my buddies. As it was designed for the Tog you would think one of the artist or test people would say, "hey wait a minute, this is total crap and we can't release it like this", Nope, well at least WG is consistent if nothing else.

Makes a new review on the AMX30B, it is more powerful than the Leopard with the new equipment (premium ventilation, improved sighting, premium barrel rammer). 4000 DPM (5.81 reload), 0.29 dispersion, 1.72 aiming. Just insane.
Imagines this and improved turbo should ever that be a thing.

I wish that WG would sell this tank again. I was able to play it during the TOG II event I think during the last Gamescom event when you were streaming and playing the tank at the event. I had a lot of fun with it actually and just wish it would be in the store again.

obj 277 because is7 has trash pen and obj is a little faster
probably IS-7, since it is more foolproof (it's hull armor is much better). The 277 behaves rather like a heavy medium tank, requires more skill in my opinion. But if u are rather new to the game, stick to the middle tiers, cos high tiers, especially tier X, is more for experienced players. Nothing more annoying than losing tier X games because some players are just too inexperienced.
Most tier 4 tanks have around 75 alpha damage (on average). The TOG II* has over 1,7k HP with the Improved Hardening. Imagine how useless they feel when they have to get more than 20 penetrations in order to kill you.
3d modeler here, there's actually a reason why the hotdog tog looks like that, the way the texture for the Tog is setup it uses overlapping textures, so the top parts use the same texture as another, that's why the hotdog looks off.
