    Mine somehow hits the rack and does not spin freely. I have no idea why. I may have bent due to heat. If this happens to you, try this. There are 3 anchor points on the spray arm. Only anchor the first one which is the one closest to the back of the tray. Other two anchor points feed them under the rack not over. Then use 2 small cable ties to secure the arm to the rack. works like a charm. LG should have made these parts with some sort of a light alloy and with enough clearance.

      Thank you, this has been driving me nuts. I have had poor cleaning and spinning the arm keeps banging on the upper wire rack. Removing the arm shows it to appear bent upward, so that the clearance at the edges is very small, and it's impossible for it to spin without touching the rack at the slightest imbalance. If I understand your technique correctly, this will lower the pipe coming from the rear so that the center point is lowered thus giving the arms more clearance. I'm also going to log a fault with LG, this is a design flaw for sure.

      @@g0rd0nfreeman That is correct. Cable ties will do the job.

    Hey guys, what is the part number for this?
    I have had to replace 2 under warranty, as they continue to warp and bend upwards at the tips, meaning the spray arm fouls the upper rack!
    Big problem, does LG have a fix?

      Sorry this is a US model. However, this video comes close when it comes to disassembly: ua-cam.com/video/zgoirK4ynBA/v-deo.html and for assembly this one: ua-cam.com/video/o76k6VqA3Ck/v-deo.html. Hope this helps.

    I have the same issue S Gareth below. The arm is warped. Thats odd for something just 2 years old. Pretty poor quality from LG. I have put in a claim through JBhifis extended warranty so hopefully that helps sort the problem asap. LGs call center was hopeless.

      @@neoanderz it got replaced. I found the fault by recording it with a waterproof camera. Its a design fault. Their plastic warps.
      Also after they fixed this the heater and motor gave away not related but that too had to be replaced.
      Quite disappointed with the quality of the machine as its under 3 years old... You should expect atleast 5-10 years without trouble.
      Design flaws!

    I have model D1454TF, which doesn't work the same way. The arm disconnected itself recently and the manual just days "unscrew the nut" to remove the arm .. but there is no nut!
    In fact there's _no place_ for a nut, it just seems to pop on/off mysteriously somehow. Sometimes easily sometimes with a struggle to align it properly.
    Is there some cleverness that i can't figure out, about how to dis/connect it?

    • @LGSAE
      @LGSAE  9 місяців тому +1

      There should be a small plastic part on the spray arm that you can turn to (un)lock, indeed looking a bit different from the demonstrated one, yours has a larger diameter.

    • @tridsonline
      @tridsonline 9 місяців тому

      @@LGSAE Yes, the "nut" on mine appears to be between the manifold and the spray arm. It can slide from one position to another (not off or on, like a regular retaining nut, more like a selector).
      But it's unclear which position is locked and which unlocked. There doesn't appear to be any effect on dis/connecting the arm.
      Don't you have a video for this assembly please?

    • @tridsonline

      @@LGSAEThe part number for the spray arm is AGB73092601 and it features a "nut" that is situated _between_ the spray arm and the manifold. Plus the nut is designed as a part of the spray arm .. which is why my problem was so confusing: the spray arm would keep detaching itself, but the "nut" would remain on the manifold!!
      Definitely a reason for a support video of its own, considering how useless the user manual is in this area.

    Also it happens to me. I noticed while in off mode the upper armed or blade is stuck and not moving, it’s strange , the dishwasher is brand new from LG 😢, does that mean I have to change the upper arm ?

      If you cannot hove it by hand and it is brand new, I suggest you contact your point of sale. In normal operation it is controlled by the water flowing through it.
