Im curious how a protestant pastor lands on their feet professionally after leaving their denomination and financial security. I recognize it as a really tough spot for conversion for some protestant pastors so i just want to know what you did for coin after converting? If its not too personal

@@kodingkrusader2765 It definitely is a challenge for them. Not only financially but socially. They usually end up ostracized from their family, community and friends. I’ve heard testimonies of pastors with PhDs who end up working as waiters in fast food restaurants earning just a small fraction of what they used to earn. But their love for the Truth and our Lord strengthen them to overcome these difficulties.
Nowadays, The Coming Home Network ( chnetwork.org/ ) helps people who want to convert with whatever they might need during the journey.
You can watch many of those testimonies in the Journey Home program in EWTN’s channel:

My sister was estranged from our family for nearly 20 years. Her husband, who was a virulent Anti-Catholic had forbidden her from communicating with our family, or attending Mass. She wandered with him through Calvary Chapel and other Protestant sects, finding no true solace because something was missing. One day after moving to a new town, and driving by a Catholic parish on her way to work each day for three mos. she went into the Church, noted the Mass times, and started to attend Mass secretly.
A few months later, she told her husband that he had to put on some clothes, someone was coming over for dinner, and he could not hang out in his underwear. Well he refused, and when the Pastor of the parish showed up, and was introduced to him, he told the priest, "I hate you for seducing my wife into returning to the Catholic Church, and I hate the Catholic Church because it teaches lies." Well Fr. asked him what he did not like about the Catholic Church, and after listening to a litany of horrible things, Fr. replied, "You know I hate those things too. It's too bad none of them are actual Catholic teachings."
Five years later he joined my sister and a group of people in Rome for the ordination to the Diaconate of a neighbor. Before the private Mass celebrated by the same priest who came to dinner, my brother in law was baptized, confirmed, had his marriage to my sister con-validated, and began his life as a daily communicant.
Eight years later, he died, his last words, "My Jesus, My Mercy." living his Catholic life crediting the Divine Mercy of Christ, and the Green Scapular I handed him with the statement, "Don't tell me you are afraid of a piece of green felt." after he told me that I was a devil for tempting people to believe in a False Church, and as a priest must be a wicked man.

Hi. In all love and respect, I hope that you will be open to the words of Jesus. He said, "My Father will give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him (Luke 11.13)." Do you agree or does a person have to be baptized and receive communion to receive the Holy Spirit?
I hope that your faith is not preventing you from knowing Christ - just by asking! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Ezekiel 36:25-26 prophesies that I will sprinkle clean water upon you to cleanse you of all your impurities, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you.”
You say that Luke 11 teaches all you have to do is ask, and only ask, but scripture elsewhere trachea differently. That leads me to the conclusion that you must ask and be baptized.
In Luke 3:21-22, Mark 19-11, and Matthew 16-17 all show the Holy Spirit coming upon Jesus after baptism. As a show of what we must do. We must imitate Christ right?
Furthermore it is explicit in Acts 2:38 that you must “repent and be baptized… and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

    • @IG88AAA

Baptism is a free gift, but we must ask of the Lord and follow his commands as shown in scripture.

    • @IG88AAA
      @IG88AAA 2 роки тому +3

Why, may I ask, do you take like 11 as the word of God, but not every verse that says what baptism does and why it is necessary?
You claim we contradict the word of God in Luke 11, but do not consider that your belief contradicts all the verses I posted. So if they are both the word of God, they cannot contradict.
The Church teaches that a life in Christ is a process. So you call on the name of God and you are saved. Then you must follow his commands to remain saved. So faith clearly comes first, otherwise there is no life in Christ. Repentance follows, as you must turn away from sin. Baptism follows that, as you must be baptized as taught in the gospel.
If you were to die between the time you had faith and before baptism, as long as you had an intent to be baptized, the Church teaches you will go to Heaven. It is a process that takes a lifetime. Not one moment of faith.
Consider that throughout his epistles Paul talks of having been saved, being saved, and going to be saved. Past present and future. If you have an open mind, I would suggest going to Catholic Answers and looking up the article about it.

Hi Sir Patrick , my Name is Mari a cradle catholic. I think that you are right in saying" let God do the heavy lifting". I have met a persian speaking (from Teheran, Iran ) woman with Islamisch faith here in Vienna ( can speak maybe 60% English and 10% Deutsch) in 2016 and i befriended here. Little by little i told her about God through my Roman catholic faith to the extent of inviting her to see inside one of the many churches in Vienna Austria. She refused bcus as she said she has no time. I said to God during one of my prayers..." i have done my Part Lord, you do the rest. We havent seen almost a year and on Sept 2022 we met and i was informed by her that she is already a Christian. "Oh" ..i exclaimed and she furthered...in an evangelist- protestant church i was baptized. (In my mind, maybe God wanna starts her to allow to read more of the Scriptures thru a protestant mentor because i myself just read few verses and can hardly memorize them except Part of Ps 23 .
Before christmas we met again and i gave her a new Rosary and she was excited in accepting it. I think Mama Mary will do more of the conversion process.

" A Methodist will say Hi to you in a Liquor Store, a Baptist will duck and hide." Very smooth presentation. I do appreciate the fact your approaches work well, but also note they do so because of your knowledge and experience in interacting with people in this mode. Thank you for the video. I will take notes. My approach sometimes has an edge ... i.e. confrontational ... I'll try to work on that. I went that way because being 'nice' with Protestant family members for 40 years was being interpreted as endorsing their position as equal in validity to my own [Catholic]. Now I recognize them as those who do not accept the Eucharistic Christ as valid ... and have left them in the hands of our loving Lord who assigned them that matrix to begin with. They have had masses said for them every week for a long time. I need to get out of the way and let God do with them whatever He wants to do. They CERTAINLY have tons of Catholic grace in their spiritual bank accounts.

“To study the truths of religion, not so much to know, as to practice them; to listen to the Divine Word, which speaks more to the heart, then to the understanding; to know, and to do what is necessary for salvation, is the true science of a Christian. I am weary of speculative knowledge, which does not change, nor move my heart, but only flatters the curiosity of my mind; I am tired of knowing, and saying so much concerning eternal truth and salvation, and yet doing so little to obtain it.” - Chapter III ‘Of The Doctrine Of Truth’ found in the book titled, The Following of Christ, by Thomas A Kempis.

Protestants don’t believe in the Eucharist as being the Body and Blood of Christ. Read 1 Corinthians 11:27-30 where it explains “So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. That is why many of you are WEAK and SICK and some have even DIED.” Does that sound like normal bread to you? All the early Christians and church fathers believed the Bread was the true Body of Christ.

All of 'em? Every one of those early Christians? How early was that? Did all those cursed, "Judaizers" who never once heard Jesus or the Scriptures utter a word about people being permanently separated from God by their human natures believe in Transubstantiation?? Incidentally, most Protestants, despite the evidence of their own lying eyes, believe that the bread and wine become the body and blood of Christ. What a weird and profoundly ignorant accusation to make. Roughly the level of, "Catholics worship statues". And 1 Cor. 11:27-30 doesn't, "explain" anything It states a belief. At least for us poor Hell bound skeptics who don't simply accept groups of people who declare themselves to be infallible and who soon begin punishing people who disagree.

@@davidmeyr4558 All of 'em? Every one of those early Christians?
      De Maria-Yes, in general.
      Meyr- How early was that?
De Maria- Well, at 33ad, when Jesus was crucified, the only Christians were the Apostles and their disciples. So, approximately 5000. The early Church, as I understand it, is designated from that point up to 400ad and the Nicene Council.
Meyr-Did all those cursed, "Judaizers" who never once heard Jesus or the Scriptures
De Maria-I understand Judaizers to be Pharisees and Jewish priests who had converted to Christianity. Therefore, they would have heard of Jesus and been very well versed in the Scriptures.
Meyr-utter a word about people being permanently separated from God by their human natures
De Maria-to what is this in reference? I've never heard of that teaching.
      Meyr-believe in Transubstantiation??
De Maria-Yes. Although the word had not yet been coined, they would have to believe that Bread and Cup were communion with the Body of Christ. (1 Cor 10:16)
Meyr-Incidentally, most Protestants, despite the evidence of their own lying eyes, believe that the bread and wine become the body and blood of Christ.
De Maria-Originally, that was true. Just from my own experience, I've yet to meet such a Protestant. I've only heard of them on the internet. Nonetheless, their understanding of what happens at communion, is not described as Transubstantiation. They blatantly deny Transubstantiation.
Meyr-What a weird and profoundly ignorant accusation to make.
De Maria-Which accusation? Do you mean his statement that "Protestants don’t believe in the Eucharist as being the Body and Blood of Christ."
I don't think it either weird or ignorant. I think you'll be hard pressed to find any Protestant today who will say, "the Eucharist is the Body and Blood of Christ." They will say, "it is a symbol of the Body and Blood of Christ".
Meyr-Roughly the level of, "Catholics worship statues".
De Maria-I'm glad you agree that is an ignorant statement.
      Meyr-And 1 Cor. 11:27-30 doesn't, "explain" anything It states a belief.
De Maria-Hm? I'm sure it explains that belief. After all, St. Paul was writing to the Corinthians to explain their newfound Christian Faith. Let's go over it. Notice that, at this point, St. Paul is complaining about how they behave during the Lord's Supper
*21 For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. 22 What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? what shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.*
Apparently, some Christians are treating the Body and Blood of Christ as an ordinary meal. _HA!_ I THINK WE'VE STUMBLED UPON THOSE CHRISTIANS WHO DID NOT UNDERSTAND THAT EUCHARIST IS THE BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST. Anyway, that's besides the point right now. As St. Paul is explaining to them of the difference between their meals at home and Our Lord's Supper.
*23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. 27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.*
and so, we see that it is, in fact, an explanation.
Meyr-At least for us poor Hell bound skeptics who don't simply accept groups of people who declare themselves to be infallible and who soon begin punishing people who disagree.
De Maria-You appear to believe the Scriptures, although you seem to disagree with the Church as to how to interpret them. However, as for "declare themselves infallible". I'm afraid that it is God who declares the Church infallible in many places in Scripture. These are my favourite:
      Ephesians 3:10
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
      1 Timothy 3:15
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

  • @kenshiloh

Jesus said, "Ask and you shall receive," which is my own testimony. That is, raised by an atheist, I heard the gospel for the first time at age 17 through a Catholic movie about Jesus. Shortly thereafter, I walked onto the lawn of a church one night, looked up at the cross on the steeple, and prayed my first prayer, "Is there Jesus? I would like to meet Him!" When I met Christ, all heaven filled my soul and it felt like my heart was made out of gold. I have been great friends with Christ ever since.
However, Catholics teach that baptism and communion are necessary for salvation - all with no assurance of salvation. That said, in 45 years, I have not had even one second of doubt that I know the Lord and am bound for heaven - not even for a second. The Apostle Paul wrote, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10.13)." Yet, Catholics teach, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord, is baptized, and partakes of communion might be saved." Which is the true gospel? Paul wrote that whoever preaches a different gospel should be accursed.
Christ died on a Cross so that, just by asking, we can know God. Adding any other condition to being saved is to pollute the pure beauty of the gospel. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

    • @IG88AAA
      @IG88AAA 2 роки тому

Can you show me where the Church teaches the Eucharist is necessary for salvation?
There is no assurance of salvation in the gospel. Romans 11:17-24 shoes the Jews were broken off of the olive tree, and gentiles were grafted in. But it warns that if you do not remain in His kindness, yo I too shall be broken off.
Hebrews 10:26 states that if you deliberately sin after receiving the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for you.
      You must persevere in faith.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 shows even Paul has a fear of not attaining salvation despite the fact that he is a chosen preacher.

Hebrews 10.26 is somewhat similar, that for those who deliberately rebel against God, there is no workable sacrifice for them.
Yet, the reality, for those in Christ, is that they will continue in love and kindness, that God will prune them so that they bear more fruit. That is, if a person loves the Lord, they will follow the Lord. Yet, if they do not love God, then they will vaunt themselves above others, they will rebel against God. These verses certainly do not negate the assurance of salvation.
Moreover, I Cor. 9.27 is one of my favorite passages. It says that all compete, but not all win the prize. That is, my prize is to hear my Father say, "Well done." Again, this verse is not about losing salvation, but I train my body, I take vitamins and go the gym. Why? So that I may fulfill everything my Father has for me to do on this earth.
However, you did not quote Romans 8.16, "The Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we the children of God." Do not forget the qualifier, "If indeed the Holy Spirit dwells within you." Do you have a witness of the Spirit that you are saved?
Moreover, which child betrays the Lord: a child of God or a child of satan? For example, Judas did not lose his salvation; he was never saved. As Christ said of him, prior to his betrayal, "Yet, one of you is a devil."
Furthermore, does a child of God love God? A it is written, "Love never fails" and "Love endures all things." Hence, if 'love' fails, it was never love in the first place. A child of God would never betray God. Hence, there is no person in hell tonight who was formerly saved, yet lost their salvation. Conversely, if a person loves God, love ALWAYS endures to the end.
Christ died on a Cross so that you can be secure in His love. On a personal note, since I dwell in the heavenlies with Christ, since the Holy Spirit abides with me, in the past 45 years, I have not doubted my salvation for even one second - not even for a second. There is nothing special about me; God holds the same for you - if you will believe the Bible.
In fact, if you wonder if you are saved, you probably are not. Do you know Christ? Are you filled with the Holy Spirit? Will He know you when He sees you or will He say, "Depart from Me; I never knew you."
I hope that you will get to know Christ - just by asking! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

@po18guy Hi. Thanks for writing. Are you aware the the Apostle Paul rebuked Peter, as Peter had fallen into doctrinal error (Galatians 2)? If you love the church, correct her according to the Word of God. Just as the Jews of old called their beloved Jerusalem back to the Scripture, so if you love your church, call her to the Bible. For example:
Paul: Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10.13).
Catholic doctrine: Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall NOT be saved (i.e. baptism, etc. is necessary for salvation).
Finally, you said that I should "Learn." Please tell me, then, the 'true' meaning of Romans 10.13. Should I forsake the gospel of Jesus, Who said, "Ask and you shall receive"? Shall I forfeit eternal life for the temporary traditions of men? I hope that you will get to know Christ. Get assurance of your salvation through being filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus died upon a Cross so that, just by asking, we may know Him. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

@@voxnonvox6382 Hi. Thanks for writing. Back in the fourth century AD, the church at Rome had been purged by the fires of persecution. Yet, is the Catholic church immune to the cycle of depravity that has plagued Israel and other churches? For example, prior to the time of Christ, the Jews were the light of the world. They were led by righteous rulers such as Moses, Joshua, and King David. Yet, there were also wicked times under Ahab, Asa, and Solomon who led the nation astray. Is the Catholic church invulnerable to straying from the pure faith? For example, Paul wrote that even if he, Paul, were to preach a different gospel, he should be accursed; how much more should the Catholic church be held in check by the Word of God?
In ancient Israel, it was the Word of God that brought them back. It is your charge to love the Catholic church and to point out how she has strayed from the pure gospel of Christ. For example, take the gospel: Paul wrote, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10.13)." You have a choice; either say that Paul is wrong or reject Catholic doctrine, you cannot do both!
In fact, so far, no Catholic has had neither the courtesy nor integrity to answer a very simple question: is Romans 10.13 true? If yes, then you can by saved by calling on the Name of the Lord; that meant that baptism, communion, and all other qualifications are not necessary - lest you tacitly accuse the Chief of Apostles to be apostate!
Only one Catholic, though heretical, had the integrity to answer according to Catholic doctrine, saying, "No, it is not true that whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved." Concerning Sola Scriptura, you do not just 'add' to the Bible, you contradict it! I am, therefore, concerned that Paul's curse is upon you. I pray that you will pray for the Catholic church and take up the mantle of King Josiah: rent your clothes, call for a solemn fast; the Catholic church has strayed from the law of God.
Most importantly, I hope that you will get to know Christ - just by asking! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

How can science tell you anything about God when, by definition, God is outside time and space? Pat means, "by my church's definition", but he no longer realizes that because, as he says earlier, "There's your truth, and then there's THE truth". Accepting new ways of seeing things is everyone else's job, not Pat's, from whose lips truth drips like the answer to Samson's riddle. Much of humanity has never defined God, or Gods, in that way, so don't patronize them by assuming that they do. Coincidentally, that confined definition would include Jehovah, who, like so many other Middle Eastern Gods, takes Chaos, churning water, "Tiamot", and creates order, earth. Not, "Earth" but rather land, earth. Unless, of course, you can convince yourself that first God created chaos and then sorted it all out. But since that's not what Genesis says, that would be forcing the story to fit later beliefs. Which is OK I guess, if that's the goal. This God who is surprised when he anthropomorphically, "looks down" from heaven to find Mankind building a tower to reach him and is worried that, "Nothing will be too difficult for them". This is not a being beyond time and space and directly contrast with the God later redefined by 300 years of Greek thought, usually construed as, "Progressive Revelation".
These techniques are pretty shallow stuff. Apologetics for people who are easily satisfied, which, unfortunately, describes most of us in one way or another.

@@kenshiloh Hello Ken. Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your sincerity but I'm afraid I don't think that either of your options are correct. Nor is Jesus, "The Light of the World". I expect that you will disagree with this but nobody has any idea what Jesus did or didn't say. To me, the important question is why you agree or disagree with that statement. You offered a statement of belief but nothing to indicate that the statement is true. I don't mean that the author of Luke didn't claim that Jesus said this but rather, whether or not Jesus actually did say it.. I suspect, and I'm happy to be corrected here, that it didn't even occur to you to provide some evidence to support the claim. I sympathize as it had never occurred to me either for the first 20, or so, years of my life. "God's word will not return void" and so on. Eventually, after being told, "Scripture explains scripture" for the millionth time, I began to wonder just who had made that decision, and when? How had the books in the Bible gotten there, along with what I was told was true about them? With some research, I learned that over the first several centuries, the Catholic bishops, the leaders of the religion, gradually winnowed down the early writings they viewed as authoritative until they developed a generally agreed upon collection. Some writings were more widely accepted than others over time. They also began to declare, based on their own authority, and probably beliefs, that various writings were not simply the writings of men but inspired by God and were thus inerrant and not to be questioned. They also came to insist that the church's Magisterium was infallible in matters of faith and morals and that all the decisions and doctrines they decided upon as, "The Church" must not be rejected. Not simply acknowledged but actually believed upon threat of punishment up to death, if you objected and didn't keep it to yourself.
I see absolutely no reason, or evidence, to support the Catholic Church's insistence on its own infallibility and since they created the Canon and developed the doctrines about both the Bible and God, there's no reason, beyond desire, to accept them.
Again, I appreciate your sincerity and thank you for your reply but there's no need to send me anything communicating your beliefs just like I wouldn't send you a note saying that God doesn't exist.. Respectfully, Dave Meyr

@@davidmeyr4558 Hi. Thanks for writing. I am bit confused by your post. On one hand, you give reasons for your beliefs, then you do not want to hear what I have to say. Just one thought on that: if you are trusting in your intellect to guide you, are you not fallible? Have you not been wrong about many things, many times? Are you not placing blind, unwarranted faith in your own powers of reason? Moreover, if you think about it, it is only if a person knows God personally that they can truly know anything; that is, a personal friendship with Christ is the only possible way a person can have any assurance about anything in life. Can you think of an alternative? The Christian faith is first and foremost a friendship with Christ. By that definition, you never were a Christian nor do you seem to understand even the basic tenets of Biblical faith.
I hope that you will have an open heart and mind to Christ - to actually knowing Him. As it is written, "This is eternal life, that you know God and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent." Simply to say to God, "If I am wrong. If hell is just and heaven is real, thank you for the gift of eternal life." Save yourself an eternity of pain. Keep the door open to Jesus. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

@@kenshiloh Hello Ken, I didn't mean to imply that I'm not interested in what you have to say. My interest in content simply relies on how a person demonstrates that what they're claiming to be true, actually is true. Thus, what you think is true about Jesus or Hell or any other topic doesn't provide much meaning in and of itself. One of Christianity's smartest strategies is to promote the false belief that intellect and emotions, beliefs and feelings are separate functions. So they can then insist that you can't trust your, "intellect" but you can trust your "beliefs". I imagine that this stems from humanities longstanding ignorance of the brain and other organs. So no, after a great deal of thinking, and more importantly studying, the issue, I completely disagree that believing in God, or Jesus, `allows you to know something for certain. I know from much personal experience that belief is a very poor way to determine truth. I am also very aware that I am often wrong. The issue here is not that I am putting my imperfect human mind up against God, but rather I'm putting it up against the fallible human brains of New Testament authors, and more importantly, against the early Catholic Bishops who decided on the Canon, that it was directly inspired by God, all the foundational beliefs they insist are true, and that they are infallible in matters of Faith and Morals. After several centuries, these Bishops, or their spiritual descendants, latched onto the Roman Emperor and quickly began to punish, and even kill, those who disagreed with their declarations and self-designated infallibility. I don't find that compelling and see no reason for anyone to refrain from using their intellect to question the original architects, and tenets, of Christianity.
I I don't know who taught you that Christianity is about being friends with Jesus but Christianity is the claim that humanity is inherently sinful and eternally separated from God and that God chose/had to kill something sinless in order to forgive mankind. Exactly how church leaders describe the role of Jesus' death in reconciling man to God has varied over time and between denominations. I assure you that despite what you've been taught, and currently believe, I was indeed a strongly believing Christian and understand the New Testament authors and Christianity sufficiently wel enough to grasp what is portrayed as, "Biblical" Christianity" but is, in reality, a reinterpretation and rootless adaptation of Judaism.
In relation to Christianity's separation of intellect and belief, it may be comforting invoke the old addage, "He has Head Knowledge but not Heart Knowledge". It's a complete fallacy, but it's your prerogative, of course. Better might be to embrace the open mind you encourage of me and bravely examine the source and validity of your own beliefs in the face of the tragic end fallible human intellects have assured you awaits anyone who reconsiders whatever your church portrays as, "True" Christianity".
I hope this was helpful to you.
      Sincerely,
      Dave Meyr

@@davidmeyr4558 Hi David. I can understand why you would not see the need to send a note saying that God does not exist. First, you are speaking in ignorance. I do not mean that pejoratively, as I think you will agree with me. That is, do you know that there is no God? To make such a claim, you would need to be omniscient and omnipresent, otherwise God could exist outside of your knowledge and experience. So, to claim that there is no God is the height of ignorance.
Yet, it makes perfect sense that I would share the gospel with you. For example, you speak of things like 'reason' and 'evidence,' presupposing the existence of God. That is, why is 'reason' good and 'irrationality' bad? Is there a universal right and wrong that I 'should' follow? You seem to imply that in your post. Yet, if there is right and wrong, then there is a moral law with consequences for both good and evil.
If you have been a good person, you have nothing to fear on judgment day. However, if you have lied, stolen, or used God's Name in disrespect, then God should rightfully judge you as a lying thief and blasphemer. Unfit for the perfect social fabric of heaven, you should be cast outside with the other lawless liars and thieves. Jesus said that there are torturers in hell. Of course, as your neighbor (so to speak), I should make every effort to urge you to get right with God through the blood of Christ.
Either that or, if you are to be consistent, you should not insist that people should use reason and rationale or that they should even treat you with respect. Anytime the word 'should' is used, there are only two options: you are either appealing to a universal moral law based on God's authority or you are claiming to be God, having the authority to tell others what they should and should not do. That is the damnable heresy of hell. You cannot say to your torturer, "You should not do that." Logically, do you have any means of saying that God is wrong to send people to hell?
You ask for evidence of God, yet your post assumes the existence of moral law, proving what the Bible says, "They know God, but suppress the truth in unrighteousness." I just hope and pray that you get to know Christ. Hasn't your thinking failed you for decades? Yet you still place blind, unwarranted trust in your own intellect.
I write this as a good neighbor saying that the way you are going is eternal torment. Moreover, if you really want the truth, simply say to God, "Jesus, if the Bible is real, thank you for filling me with the Holy Spirit." You can know instead of living in the darkness of your own human frailty and limitedness. The statement stands: Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

      Deuteronomy 30:11-14
      King James Version
11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
BC-He could simply have left it perfect instead of giving us the "choice " ??
DM-Perfection included the ability to choose. All we had to do is continue to choose to obey God. Unfortunately, Adam and Eve turned to another.
