Just got RC's audio book titled Developing Christian Character. It's essential listening! He narrates so it's RC in his familiar style.
One of the greatest theologians of our generations, he makes you think.
I really think this is my most favorite video because I think I see and feel Dr. Sproul’s heart for people to understand so they will believe/believe so they understand. His passion for the Lord and desire to make difficult concepts clear with real examples is so precious to me. It’s also precious because he was suffering and still wanted people to understand no matter how hard it was for him to speak, because he was weak and then he was strong ❤️.

I miss RC and I never had the pleasure of meeting him. When I first started listening to him I had no idea he had passed a few months earlier and it made me sad when I found out. Then happy because I know where he is.
I think of R.C. Sproul as my Instructor in The Word of God in all the videos I encountered. The first video, I has cast to the TV. I was about in my room and the more I listened - I stopped doing anything and sat down to listen intently. It was beautiful and said in ways I understood completely in my heart. He had already passed then. I found videos enough to last all my life. Then I discovered the Ligonier Ministry, all the colleagues from afar to here. They were all great men servants of God and very well qualified every word every verse. John MacArthur, Steve Lawson, Godfry everyone. This journey was caused by God as I know the teaching nothing by coincidence or accident. Love you all - Great Wisdom given by God. So on I go studying tonight.

It is not without reason that Jesus chose Saul and changed his name as Paul and made him to represent his place in the world. The reason was that he studied under the guidance of the great intellectual Gamaliel . So Paul was a brilliant person .Moreover during the first century the Greek philosophical influence was very high ( Epicurians ) in Israel and the surrounding areas. In order to debate with them and defend the faith any ordinary person will not be able to do it. So Jesus choice fell on this brilliant man who became the worlds first Apologist . Excellent teaching by R.C . sproul. We miss him.

such a GREAT sermon to give to my overly educated proud and arrogant, but, dearly beloved sons (mid 30's & 40 y/o🙄), who i love with my whole entire heart, mind, soul, spirit, and, who i pray for unceasingly - i failed them miserably for my ignorance, before i learned just how critical it is to have Gods WORD in my life....now, i beg God all the time to go after my sons, hunt them down, do whatever it takes, to draw them to HIM, thru Jesus Christ....amen.💖

Apologetics played a Big part in my walk with Jesus and my relationship with him After my christian friend started to do apologetics and debating I Wasn't interested I wanted to preach but than one day when I was preaching a person came to me asking me "How do you know Christianity is true and not other religions?" I said because the bible says it's true but than he said "That doesn't necessarily make the Christianity true" and so After that I left and I was thinking about that question all day I even prayed about it to God and every time I preached I started getting more questions like that and it came to I point where I had 0 answers and it was shaking my faith a little But than my friend introduced me to study apologetics to find the answer to the questions I was getting so I did and eventually the more I studied the more My Faith Started to Grow more and more and I started to answer people questioning me I thank God for people like R.C Sproul, Frank Turek, William Lane Craig, Ravi Zacharias ect. for all their great thinking and debates on apologetics Thank God for helping me
Apologetics help me, to show that my faith is not a leap into the dark.

This is the best sermon I have ever heard. Before becoming a believer i was convinced that man invented God to rationalize and cope with out imminent mortality. I guess i just got my proper nouns mixed up a little...
What a way to build up a beautiful message. This is worth it
R.C. loved sharing what he knew. If he knew it, he had a great desire to teach it so others knew it as well. I think that's why his teaching style is so popular and lauded.

A square circle is actually what happens when you take 1, 2 dimensional square and lay it flat, then lay another square on top of the first square but rotate it 2 degrees clock wise. Then take another square and do the same as the last one, then, again and again until 1 corner meets the next corner and you can add no more. Inside of the squares you will see a circle

RC , after listening and watching your earlier talks and ministering it has become clear to me that your mind is slowly exceeding us and is evolving to greater consciousness, the same with Steve en Lawson and John MacArthur. Theology intellectuals who are speaking a language that almost does not make sense to the laymen. I respect all of you and it is because of your solid intellectual capabilities that I have become closer to God , you have helped me pin down my faith with solid stakes to the Lord Jesus Chris. Standard question posed by Fundamentalists: “Have you been saved?” What the question also means is: “Don’t you wish you had the assurance of salvation like me?”
All they have to do is “accept Christ as their personal Savior,” and it’s done. They might well live exemplary lives thereafter, but living well is not crucial and does not affect their salvation. But is this true? Does the Bible support this concept?
Scripture teaches that one’s final salvation depends on the state of the soul at death. As Jesus himself tells us, “He who endures to the end will be saved” (Matt. 24:13; cf. 25:31-46). One who dies in the state of friendship with God (the state of grace) will go to heaven. The one who dies in a state of enmity and rebellion against God (the state of mortal sin) will go to hell.
For many Fundamentalists and Evangelicals it makes no difference-as far as salvation is concerned-how you live or end your life. You can announce that you’ve accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, and, so long as you really believe it, you’re set. From that point on there is nothing you can do, no sin you can commit, no matter how heinous, that will forfeit your salvation. You can’t undo your salvation, even if you wanted to. God has already preordained everyone's fate heaven or hell and we can't change it even if we wanted to
Take a look at what Wilson Ewin, the author of a booklet called There is Therefore Now No Condemnation, says. He writes that “the person who places his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and his blood shed at Calvary is eternally secure. He can never lose his salvation. No personal breaking of God’s or man’s laws or commandments can nullify that status.”
“To deny the assurance of salvation would be to deny Christ’s perfect redemption,” argues Ewin, and this is something he can say only because he confuses the redemption that Christ accomplished for us objectively with our individual appropriation of that redemption. The truth is that in one sense we are all redeemed by Christ’s death on the cross-Christians, Jews, Muslims, even animists in the darkest forests (1 Tim. 2:6, 4:10; 1 John 2:2)-but our individual appropriation of what Christ provided is contingent on our response.
Certainly, Christ did die on the cross once for all and has abundantly provided for our salvation, but that does not mean that there is no process by which this is applied to us as individuals. Obviously, there is, or we would have been saved and justified from all eternity, with no need to repent or have faith or anything else. We would have been born “saved,” with no need to be born again. Since we were not, since it is necessary for those who hear the gospel to repent and embrace it, there is a time at which we come to be reconciled to God. And if so, then we, like Adam and Eve, can become unreconciled with God and, like the prodigal son, need to come back and be reconciled again with God.
You Can’t Lose Heaven?
Ewin says that “no wrong act or sinful deed can ever affect the believer’s salvation. The sinner did nothing to merit God’s grace and likewise he can do nothing to demerit grace.” But when one turns to Scripture, one finds that Adam and Eve, who received God’s grace in a manner just as unmerited as anyone today, most definitely did demerit it-and lost grace not only for themselves but for us as well (cf. also Rom. 11:17-24)

infinite series of finite causes portrayed in a conceivable fashion:
Big bang occurs, all life manages to come into existence, becomes advanced enough to explore space, eventually develop a mega black hole to pull the universe back together, everything is pulled into a single point (exactly as it had been), Big bang occurs and the infinite series begins with its finite causes (of which 5 of the trillions have been mentioned above) created within itself.
It's quite conceivable, but conceivable doesn't make it correct, and the odds of the universe manifesting in some kind of infinite Rube Goldberg device on it's own are phenomenally worse than the odds of a universe even coming into existence in the first place without a God to ensure that the basic laws of physics were all harmonious enough to even allow matter to form.
