    Maybe I did it wrong but I just halved the original height of 27' and went with that. Turned out 13' was very close to your final number.
    I erred on the conservative side as it turned out so another foot on that pole would have done no harm.

    Hello! I was just thinking of doing this, but wasn't sure how to estimate the angle. How did you measure the 53° or what tool did you use? Thanks!!

      I used an angle measuring tool from my app store. I don't remember whitch one, but you could just use a protractor.

      I found ilevel still on my phone so I am guessing I used it. I had to get on the ground and look down the side of my phone as i tilted it up to the tree to eye ball the angle.
