Friday Night in Kathmandu's Thamel District | Nepal 🇳🇵

Proof that this 42 year old still knows how to have a good Friday night...as long as boba tea is involved. I spent my last night in Nepal getting lost in Kathmandu's Thamel district. Random cats, stray dogs, and temples/stupas/religious shrines were the theme of the evening.

What's up with that is that the government charges foreign tourists a fee to visit the historic site during peak hours to maintain & preserve the buildings. Like paying a museum entrance fee or bridge toll.

Yeah, kind of like a museum entrance fee. But it’s hard to tell cause it’s really not gated off, just a low horizontal metal bar 1 foot off the ground you can easily step over. Plus, a few days before I walked in with no issues. Then came back a day later and was stopped by security. Kind of randomly enforced.

Sony FDRX3000. You can get it used on Amazon for about $475 US dollars. It’s a small, easy to use camera. I highly recommend it.
