Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action! An nice sunny early evening at Derby railway station on the Midland Mainline with the sun going down, giving out a good sunset around twenty past four. All of this was shot between 3:25pm and 4:30pm, within that time had the kind of company I had hoped for, plenty of Class 37’s (the tractors of the british railways) along with the usual intercity, commuter services and the odd the freight. I had also hoped to capture the XC HST as well which would be this film last shot; but, because of affected track somewhere between Derby and Birmingham, it was continuously getting delayed, making the wait for it not worth it but hopefully for next time. Hope you all enjoy this!

Hi, great videos as always. As a modeller, I’m going to have a look at the new accurascale model of the mk5 TPe on my Dean Park channel and I’d like to use some real life footage of them from one of your videos. Your shots are by far the best I’ve seen.

Are the 37's still in use to this day for business, or are they only for tourism..?

Both.. some are preserved on heritage railways, a few on railtour duty and quite a few still in regular service however they are limited to unit drags, RHTT (on occasion) as well as Network Rail / Colas Rail test trains..
According to Wikipedia, “35 preserved, 66 still in service, 1 rebuilt as Class 23, remainder scrapped”
