I personally think that Chanel make some of the most beautiful foundations on the market and the Waterfresh tint is my favourite everyday foundation while the Sublimage Le Teint is my favourite for “gping out”😊
Videos that I would love to see are how the colours vary in comparison to each other and others and also a concealer video would be amazing but obviously no pressure ☺️😘

Thank you for the detailed description for all of the Chanel foundations. I wear the Les Beiges fresh tint, cc cream. I love the fresh tint, such a beautiful finish, but I use a different brush to apply , as the one that it comes with is not the easiest to work with. Sublimage foundation and concealer are next on my list to try. 🧖🏻♀️🖤🥰

The dicontinued Chanel Perfection Lumiere was everything! I dont care what they say is closest...it wasnt. Ive spent thousands trying to replace it. Oh i miss it so...

Thank u so much for this professional information. I absolutely love the Sublimage Corrector Yeux concealer and I have considered purchasing the Sublimage foundation in the pump. I contacted Chanel & were a little stuck on the correct color. I’m a 20 in the Corrector Yeux.

I love the cc cream. I cut it with moisturizer and it wears great. Velvet is my fav in hot weather.

Thank you for this video. I tried the Sublimage serum foundation and I'm in love. People have paid me compliments on my skin when using it. I've also used the Healthy Glow and Fresh Water touch which I also enjoy. The Sublimage serum foundation is my fave though.

Thank you, Allison. This was the best comprehensive list of Chanel foundations and their properties. I have the Sublimage in the jar and do enjoy it but I think I’ve not been getting all the traction from my Waterfresh Complexion foundation. I can now try different application methods. I’ve been subscribed for about a year now and enjoy your videos and appreciate all the knowledge and expertise you bring to your work. I’ve never been able to get this kind of information at a counter. There seems to be a high turnover in department store sales associates lately and I’m relatively new to Chanel makeup. I’ve only been using it for about 4 years. I stated with blushes, glosses, and lipsticks and they are easier to decipher. Thanks you from a mature follower in NJ.

I have both the Sublimage (in the jar) and Vitalumiere Aqua. Adore them both. They both wear well on my 52 year old skin. They both give me a coverage level I like, don’t enhance my fine lines and texture. This is what I enjoy the brand for. Not thick and cakey, perfected and sophisticated. I like the sublimage in winter, and Vitalumiere Aqua in the warmer weather.

Hello! How would you say the les beiges complexion touch compares with the vitalumiere aqua? Thank you for reviewing all of these!
I didn’t like the complexion touch much. It was too dewy and light.
This the best tutorial I have seen. I have really really dry mature skin and want medium coverage. What would be better between No 1 and Les Beige Healthy Glow foundation? I likes idea of skin complex under eyes. I get crepey and patchy there.
Les Beiges foundation will hydrate more so that may be better for dryer skin.
I have pretty oily skin and I’ve loveddd the cc cream for years!! Even though I live in a very hot climate and pretty humid, I set it with powder and it lasts all day looking perfect

I have tried nearly all of these and my favorite was the Ultra Le Teint Velvet. I haven’t seen it around in a while, I am assuming it was discontinued. I just use the glass bottle Ultra Le Teint. I just don’t like how, after a while, it starts breaking down into that heavy, makeup-y look. Also I have to mix B40, B30, and BD51 together to get my perfect color because I am a medium neutral cool with some yellow-y tones to my skin. Ugh. An expensive foundation routine. Lol
Lol we do expensive things to look our best. It’s worth it though.
I'd love a video on foundation matching. It seems Chanel runs a little warm in their undertones. Would your kind Chanel SA let you film in store to show us all the undertones, shade break downs?

Thank you for this guide! Many will find this useful, I used to get so confused about the difference. I'm keen to try Sublimage L'essence, is it similar to Les Beiges healthy glow but less shiny? I used to hate the CC cream with a vengeance because of how expensive it was and t i could not get it to work for me, also shade 20 which is what I normally get was too light. I've come to love it, I find that it works best when applying with fingers in a patting motion and don't use too much, it gets too hard to blend otherwise.
I can't say i can work out the difference between the two water tints though!
The Sublimage L'Essence offers more coverage and it slightly more matte than the Les Beiges.

Maureen, I am oily combo and I am 50 with wrinkles. I use the Eau de Teint, Ultra le Teint Velvet, No 1 and I often set with the loose powder. I find No. 1 the best because it isn't harsh on my drier cheeks, and I can set only my t-zone with powder.
I've tried Les Beige Healthy Glow, Sublimages (both of) and the Complexion Touch. None of these were as good as the No. 1.

Thank you! I think both work for oily skin, however, No1 offers much more coverage than the Water Fresh Tint.

You would have to be careful and look at the ingredients list because of their foundations contain alcohol which can make rosacea worse.

I haven’t watched you in a while because I wasn’t shopping for high end. Then lost touch. All I have to say is you are looking amazing. Do you find the BD shades have any noticeable peach? I’m olive undertone and peach will stand out on me. Debating on the bd21 or bd31 golden but any slight orange instead of gold will stand out on me. The pinks are a definite no go. I need green 😭 or gray.

Thanks for this video, I love so much ultra le teint velvet but my shade is out of stock for so long 😢 I miss it so much, I have vitalumiere and ultra le teint, but it’s not the same. Vitulamier is nice in summer, but with ultra le teint I struggle so much with application. Do you have any tips on how to apply it in the best way for combo skin so that this long wear is really 8h? I usually use it on my business trips but it transfers to the jackets and it isn’t that nice around hour 8. I feel I’m doing something wrong.
If it's transferring, make sure to either use a setting spray for oily skin or a powder to stop it from moving around.

Hi Allie @AllisonChase , I really enjoyed watching your videos and as well as recent Chanel Foundation video (watched tons YT and lots of them are very irritating), that gave me a good review what sadly I could not hear from assistants in Canadian Shoppers DM or The Bay. From the last couple of years I have been using CC Cream 20 and I love the SPF, worked perfectly during Caribbean getaways on the top of my Melasma issue and Slavic skin tone and green eyes. I have tried Les Beige Medium Light as I like natural look, even at the age of 38;) with harsh weather here in Canada it was not the best choice for long hours day in the office (including touch ups with les beige compact or ultra le tent compact. I am going to try No1 B20 (do not like my pink undertones and uneven skin tone), do you still use SPF with it ? for daily skincare routine I have been using clarins and gaudalie for years, and vichy vit C. What would you recommend for a day skincare / light make up on a daily basis with No1 foundation ? toner, vit C, SPF and No1 ? or just leave Vit C for evening routine ? Thanks for your time, cheers!
Oh yes you can definitely wear an SPF with the No1 foundation, it's really important. I would wear a daily AM vitamin C and SPF before applying the foundation.
Yes, you have the correct order: toner, vit c, SPF and then No1.

I’ll be 33 next month and have been watching you on UA-cam for a solid decade now. I remember back when Vitalumiere Aqua came out and was ALL over UA-cam. This just reminded me that I definitely need to go out and see if I can find a shade match. I was abusing the tanning bed back then but it was my favorite foundation at the time. I’m so fair now that I stopped using it because I wasn’t able to find a shade match, but I’ve started self tanning again so I may be in luck. Thanks for the reminder about an old favorite.

I enjoyed your reviews of all the CHANEL foundations!! I’m 78 years old with dry skin and my skin gets even drier in winter. I’ve used the CC cream off and on over a few years. I had been using a Dior foundation, but decided some months back to use the cc cream again. I discovered it had been discontinued and was being reformatted. I still have a couple of tubes left and they still smell good so have enjoyed using them. I discovered the new CC cream has been released in Canada and I’m hoping it will be released in the USA soon!!

What’s the difference between healthy glow and vita aqua lumiere?
Vitalumière Aqua covers less and has a slight powdery finish.
I used to love the cc cream then my skin got even drier and now the cc cream is to dry for me 😂. I now like the no1 and the water fresh both versions the original and the smaller more concentrated version. After no1 i am thinking to try sublimage

I wonder why Chanel foundation don't have SPF ??? I'm 49 years old and the less layer of products in my face the better.
Some of them do but here in Canada they hide the SPF logo on the product.
@@AllisonChase they hide it!? and is not on the ingredient list either? I don't think they do the same here in the US, I just purchased the sublimage foundation and didn't inform mydelf before I purchase that it has no SPF, I might return it. Thank you so much for replying.
You can not swap proper SPF with whatever insufficient is in a foundation. You don't even get close the level of SPF with how little you will use. even if it had SPF 50 in it which most don't you won't achieve more than maybe 10 if you apply foundation like a normal person. And SPF looses it's protection over the day and you have to reapply to maintain it. Foundations in vast majority of cases contain very cheap SPF that doesn't provide good UVA protection @@angelicaayala6690

I personal don't buy chanel anymore the colour hue is not as good as in the past and the formulation are more drying and powdery dry down and flat I have english rose porcelain but all the colours are beige to warm flat the lady at the counter tryed all even mixed some but eventually had to admit that chanel doesn't make my colour anymore so it's a big no for me but lucky I found a australian brand that saved me alot of money😊
