The only reason we aren’t supposed to be going around killing sinners is because of the “He who is without sin throw the first stone.” line. We’re all sinners and to purge sinners in the name of God would just be hypocritical, no matter how just the killings would be.
The only thing that could possibly make this better, would be the inclusion of the rhythmic sounds of Joshua systemically clearing, checking, and putting away his infinite pile of .45s one-by-one while reciting the whole of The Book of Genesis from memory.

For anyone looking for something in a similar vein to this, there is a Bible audiobook on Audible that has James Earl Jones reading the entirety of the New Testament. Having Darth Vader read the gospels is a pretty awesome experience.

There should be a mod that either adds this as a radio station after you complete Honest Hearts, or have a dialogue option for Graham to quote a random verse for you.
Or a custom mod where you can ask Joshua to come to mojave, then he can make a random dialogue quoting verse and scripted dialogue like when meeting a hostile or certain npc like Caesar
I'm not religious but I would happily pay for a Bible read by Joshua Graham audio book.
He has a really good voice for it, that's perfectly understandable. And hey, maybe a few spots of the bible might be a fun 'Hey, that's a quote we use daily!' or two.

It’s weird because I’m an agnostic now, but was brought up in a Christian home. However, Joshua Graham just brings something out of me spiritually that I can’t explain. I kind of feel embarrassed to admit it considering he’s a fictional character. But it’s true.

i havent heard any mistakes or awkward pauses, but i have noticed that the AI voice slowly gets deeper over the course of like 20 minutes and when he starts a new verse it goes back to normal
Never in my days would I have thought my dystopic future would include bible readings and sermons from Joshua Graham himself.
Well when the apocalypse happens we can truly embrace it for the wasteland it is.
Unfortunately, the program's developers shut off custom voices for free accounts just now, and their monthly subscription gets you a meager 30k characters. Considering that it's the Bible, it would take a very long and/or lots of money to complete unless they completely change their service plan sometime soon (that's if they're even around in 6 months, they don't seem very experienced in business). I and a couple other anons are still going over what we have, but I'm glad we at least got Genesis out! A brief window into endless possibilities. After QCing what we have left, they might be substantial enough to release anyway, even incomplete or random chapters. Thank you very much to the fellow anons who decided on a whim to spend hours copying Bible passages into the program. Maybe more will be available someday.

Something I find very interesting is that this is accurate to Joshua's beliefs too. As the Mormon church uses the king James version of the bible for any discussion involving the Bible. The only thing used more is the book of Mormon among the church. And has been shone, he is Mormon.
All mankind is evil in our hearts, but when we hear the Lord especially spoken by Joshua we all come together and sit because deep down no matter our sins, we all still love God and God loves us too.

I am not ashamed to admit that joshua graham, a fictional character, has had a tremendous impact...and he has influenced me to the point where...it may sound silly but Joshua has pushed me towards conversion. It began slowly with the analysis of his character, how he wields love with forgiveness and cruelty in equal yet non-exclusionary measure.
It was through this fictional character that I learned to love all people, to hold them accountable for the consequences of their shortcomings and to help them overcome them without judgement or ego plaguing my mind. My personality and paradigm have shifted greatly in a few days. I was hypercritical, bordering atheism, prone to fits of rage and easily angered and relied on others to make my arguments and defend me. Now I am calm, still critical but different, and I can fork my own opinions and think.
While joshua is not solely responsible for, what I hope to be, the beginning of my conversion story, it was years in the making from other influences, Joshua's story - despite being fictional - was the final seal that opened my heart to faith. And now I have the privilege to hear him read the sacred texts. While this process as I write this comment is a scary thing, I hope I can one day look back in this comment years from now to remember where I began.

Latter-Day Saints use the Bible heavily. BoM is just an additional book of scripture.
KJV has many flaws, but any translation will have flaws to be fair. It’s definitely not my favorite or the most accurate English version of Scripture, however.
