It was a freak moment, halfway down a bottle of whiskey when I ask the question out loud, "if there is a God, how do I get to know him?" the next day, reeling from a hangover, a lady called Christine knocks at my door... The rest as they say is history. Weight shifts and lifts when you read and slowly understand the Bible, get closer to God. It did me, I'm a better man for it and once long ago I spat venom and vitriol to and about him. I'm a sinner. It is what it is, but what I do from here on out counts, we do better every day, and in doing that we breathe easier, think clearer. It's liberating. It's... Good.

I read the entire Bible over 7 years ago. I am now starting to listen to the audio Bible, my goal is to listen to the entire Bible this year. It is the best book ever created. I wish that I would have kept going to church when I was a kid. It would have made my life so much easier.
10 chapters per day and you will complete the Bible in 4 months. Continue to read 10 chapters per day and you will, reaf the entire Bible 3 times for the year. I have just completed the Bible and I am starting over again. The World of God is so beautiful.

I have attended church and loved God since I was a young kid. I have been trying to find the time to read the Bible and found it difficult. This has helped so much since I started 40 minutes ago. I started it, put my Bluetooth headphones on, lay on my bed, and closed my eyes envisioning everything. And I will be honest right now, I somehow fell asleep roughly 30 minutes into, 10 minutes later I woke up and felt incredible. The Power of the Bible and God is the greatest in the universe. I lost two elderly family friends this year, and because of their awful family, didn’t know about it until we saw their names in the obituaries. They were children of God, to the end. I come here, to the start of their most beloved book, in the hopes I can live even half as beautiful and blessed a life as they did. My heart is broken, but I know that they are with God now. I know, one day, I will be able to tell them just how much I loved them.

Somehow I know this is the first real step of redemption. To learn his word and to know the truth of what was said and done by our lord God, and to cleanse of my sins through his word, and so I am forgiven of my transgressions.

book of Genesis might sound ridiculous, but during my life, I have experienced believers are better people. they have principles, rules, morals, and many good things that non-believers don't have.
As an atheist, I don’t believe in god but i have to admit that the bible is a very interesting read, i like some of the passages more then others, i respect and see why the book is attractive for those who believe in god. I respect people religion and try to understand it more by reading their books
I will never forget when I was lost in the streets committing sins and tried to take my life. It was at the hospital when they were shocking me cause I was dying… that I heard a womans voice she said “ did you try to take your life”? I replied… I saw darkness and then angels surrounded me and I know god sent me back to now live a life with God in it. I know the voice I heard was Mary, Jesus mom. I couldn’t see Jesus face because the sin of trying to take my life. I know in my heart he is real and I will always love him and cherish him❤ 🥹

I was born in the name of Allah and his prophet Muhammad. Born from a Norwegian mother by a Tunisian father, I was raised to believe in the word of Allah presented in the Quran. But what I believed in growing up in Norway went against what is taught in Islam. I was taught that all humans have value, in women's rights, in free speech and liberty. All this is not what I read in the Quran, and it was not what my Tunisian family believed in either. As someone who couldn’t read nearly a chapter a day from the Bible I can confidently say this helped soooo much I’m now listening to this whenever I have free time and I like to listen whenever I do house work or a hobby. I’m now reading 10 chapters a day! Hope to finish this by the end of year. I have trouble sitting still and focusing on reading for long periods of time, So this definitely helped

Not even kidding - I did this 'self-deliverance' thing I found on google - and the second I did, I felt better - and keep seeing these passages - texts in my head - words and phrases all jumbled, like im receiving a message from god himself - 'THy God' stood out - 'message' - 'deliverance' i saw, crazy thing. And im agnostic, the fact it happened, and its never happened before means nothing significant I'd say.

I lost two elderly family friends this year, and because of their awful family, didn’t know about it until we saw their names in the obituaries. They were children of God, to the end. I come here, to the start of their most beloved book, in the hopes I can live even half as beautiful and blessed a life as they did. My heart is broken, but I know that they are with God now. I know, one day, I will be able to tell them just how much I loved them.

I am here because I heard if we read a chapter a day it will take 3 1/4 years to finish the Bible but we can listen to the whole bible read on tape in just 70 hours. I will continue reading but i am listening too and have found it very enjoyable to listen. Thank you.
If you read 5 chapter a day it'll take 6month. I'm start doing ten a day. 5 chapter outta every book.

Somehow I know this is the first real step of redemption. To learn his word and to know the truth of what was said and done by our lord God, and to cleanse of my sins through his word, and so I am forgiven of my transgressions.

I to was lost, as a child I would 😢cry when I couldn't go to church, as an adult I still went but I slacked off, working two jobs raising a son alone, but these excuses had to go tragedy sent 😭 me running back to GOD, so glad I did, we can do nothing in life if we don't know, love and serve GOD. book of Genesis might sound ridiculous, but during my life, I have experienced believers are better people. they have principles, rules, morals, and many good things that non-believers don't have.
As an atheist, I don’t believe in god but i have to admit that the bible is a very interesting read, i like some of the passages more then others, i respect and see why the book is attractive for those who believe in god.
I respect people religion and try to understand it more by reading their books

I will never forget when I was lost in the streets committing sins and tried to take my life. It was at the hospital when they were shocking me cause I was dying… that I heard a womans voice she said “ did you try to take your life”? I replied… I saw darkness and then angels surrounded me and I know god sent me back to now live a life with God in it. I know the voice I heard was Mary, Jesus mom. I couldn’t see Jesus face because the sin of trying to take my life. I know in my heart he is real and I will always love him and cherish him❤ 🥹

I once was an Athiest until I found Jesus and now I am a devoted cathloc
I was born in the name of Allah and his prophet Muhammad. Born from a Norwegian mother by a Tunisian father, I was raised to believe in the word of Allah presented in the Quran.
But what I believed in growing up in Norway went against what is taught in Islam. I was taught that all humans have value, in women's rights, in free speech and liberty. All this is not what I read in the Quran, and it was not what my Tunisian family believed in either.
I realized that although I called myself Muslim, in my heart and mind I believed what Christians believed. Right now I'm on a journey to discover God the Father, the son and the holy spirit. Amen

As someone who couldn’t read nearly a chapter a day from the Bible I can confidently say this helped soooo much I’m now listening to this whenever I have free time and I like to listen whenever I do house work or a hobby. I’m now reading 10 chapters a day! Hope to finish this by the end of year. I have trouble sitting still and focusing on reading for long periods of time,

I gave my heart to Jesus on Nov. 4th, 1978 over the years I've been hot for Jesus & there have been times that I've slacked off, I'm trying to get hot again as I don't want to stand before him one day & have him spit me out of his mouth, I long to spend 4-ever in Heaven, so why have I fallin in to the slackness of this world?
I was a missionary to Street People for many many years & I married a man that was a Skid-Row Bum, & since then I've stopped reading my word, I still go to Church & do Bible Studies & I go to the prayer meetings the first Sat. of every month, but I know that I'm not Pleasing in his sight since I'm not seeking him in his word daily, I pray & talk to God everyday, but I've stopped seeking him in his WORD, so if you happen to read this, would you Please lift me up in prayer, I want to be right in his sight.

Not even kidding - I did this 'self-deliverance' thing I found on google - and the second I did, I felt better - and keep seeing these passages - texts in my head - words and phrases all jumbled, like im receiving a message from god himself - 'THy God' stood out - 'message' - 'deliverance' i saw, crazy thing. And im agnostic, the fact it happened, and its never happened before means nothing significant I'd say.
That's awesome. I did that too before, and God helped me while I was sleeping so I wouldn't be afraid.
