This was by far the easiest method for me. Quick to understand and doing a close-up on the zipper was an extra 100. I installed my zipper flawlessly on the first try. Thank you!
Good video! I use invisible zippers all the time! I find them a lot easier to sew than regular ones! I also recommend to use interfacing on wrong side of fabric where zipper will be for extra strength :)
I listened to everyone online with IZ U are the ONLY ONE I could throughly understand And after 15 tries with other people videos I am amazed to say I GOT it Ty ty tt ty so so much I was about to pull my hair out!!!!’n
You are the only one who had common sense enough to show the bottom end of the zipper as you were flipping it to the other side. Also, the only one who went slow enough to show that you actually have to flip the other side of the zipper twice. Others used white zippers so you could not see that, nor did they explain it. NOW I know how to do it. FABULOUS! You saved me.
Thank you, Professor Pin Cushion. I love your tutorials. about every question I had when I researched all subjects on your channel are ALWAYS answered. I always say to myself “ahhhhh!!! 🤔”. Thank you so much! God bless
Thanks for your really clear instructions. My current challenge is to insert an invisible zip in the side seam in an already constructed garment, that is the side seam is sewn already. I've inserted it once but it's not sitting nicely so attempt no. 2 coming.... I find tacking the zip in place after pinning helps a little so it doesn't move around as you sew. I'll adapt your technique above and see how I go!
You solved my problem in the first minute! I’ve been trying to install a regular zipper as an invisible zipper! Thank you, no other tutorial mentions this!
Thank you so much for this. I will refer back to it once I get over my fear of zippers!😂 I haven’t seen a zipper into any of my projects. I avoid them but I have enough projects now sitting aside just waiting for a zipper.
Thank you so much. I have a dress I made and am stuck with the invisible zipper. It is a soft fabric and that is what is giving me issues. I may need to stabilize it first. Great video😊
I'm trying to stop being scared of zippers. I've tried 3 test ones in the past few days with not a lot of success. When I'm done stitching in both sides, the zipper becomes really stuck and has a hard time being zipped up. I'm using an invisible zipper foot. With the 3rd one I just did, I tried zipping it after ONLY sewing it in on the left side of the opening. Totally smooth! So that first seam went well. But then when I went and sewed the right side, it once again had a hard time zipping closed. It also feels like, when I go to stitch the right side, the zipper teeth don't want to go as smoothly through the zipper foot's channel. It feels like they want to curl up even though the left side didn't? Do you have any tips? Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
You know I've told you I've watched all your videos, I purchased this foot but it won't work on my machine. The back of the part that holds the needle hits the foot and won't go all the way down. 😢
@@ProfessorPincushion I found another type that snaps to my machine, and it's alright, im not complaining about it. I'm just glad you taught me how to attach an invisible zipper 🙂.

I've watched several other videos that ended up confusing me and finally, I got it after watching yours. Thanks. I may finish this project tonight.
😮 oh my God I don't hate doing invisible zippers anymore!!! This is amazing! I love you!
Amazing technique. I love invisible zippers…even if I somehow install them backwards every damn time

Do you have any links handy for the zipper feet package in your demonstration?
I added the product to the description. You can look for that model in stock at a retailor of your choice.
@@ProfessorPincushion thank you!

oh no! you don't have to do use this type of foot. You can buy one specific for your sewing machine.
