Her eye movement when she says "kiss me once, then once more"!!! This entire performance, from the gown and camera work to the orchestra and Peggy's gorgeous performance is one of the best Sullivan clips ever posted.
She looks stunning! This is what you call Perfection, the dress, the voice, the orchestra... and that camera man... For Heaven Sake! 💎 Happy Friday... thank you for sharing! 💖
Thank you so much for posting this entire performance intact! This is Peggy Lee at her very best. She recorded George & Ira Gershwin's "How Long Has This Been Going On?" with Benny Goodman at the tender age of 21, and it's interesting to note her development by omparing that version with the one heard here. In 1941 Peggy Lee was aready a terrific vocalist, and here - nearly a quarter-century later - her control and phrasing are nothing less that brilliant.
Thank you for including the entire set and not just one or two songs from this appearance. Please offer the extended/full sets for other artists/appearances in the future as the Sullivan Show stands as a perfect time capsule to great era of American music/entertainment.
Just great!! Now could you please give us Connie Francis's entire hitmedley from the Berlin show or he breathtaking Cole Porter or Gershwin medley's. Thank you1
She was so beautiful...such close ups!!!! Peggy worked the cameras...she knew which was on her and she sang to that camera...she always made that expression with her eyes like she was making love to the camera, like the cameraman was naked. The extreme close up shows how she placed her lipstick outside her lip line, fully on the upper lip and center on the bottom lip to give her signature look. they eyes, the mole, the lips and her famous hourglass figure...just absolutely beautiful... The black dress emphasized her beautiful blond hair arranged so elegantly.
I love Peggy Lee, but instead of uploading the same performances over and over again, you could upload Connie Francis' interpretation of "The Man That Got Away" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" please.🙏🏻
She's my favourite singer. This is excactly why.

You couldn't have expressed it better.
She was a true ARTIST!

This was excellent. Watching her sing while I ate made me feel as though I was in a nightclub. Thank you for sharing this wonderful performance.
Very nice performance from Peggy, as usual, and the orchestra sounds great! I would love to sing with a live orchestra like that.

I read her biography. She had a rough life. Became and alcoholic and addicted to drugs.
