There should be raid called Humanities Last Hope where you need to help Rasputin keep the Traveler from leaving humanity, your light is very limited at the beginning of the raid (sometimes your second jump doesn't work, your super charges slowly and drains fast) and your light power is doubled at the end where you're closest to the Traveler, and have to fend off the most powerful allies of the darkness from stealing the Traveler
But the darkness isn't stealing the Traveler actually. The traveler is the one that wants to leave (I think) but yeah that's a cool idea.
It's rumored that in the original storyline we were actually the ones that helped Rasputin cripple the Traveler to stop it from abandoning earth
We should beable to re-activate him to claim back Old Russia, which then becomes a massive city over years and it becomes a massive social/exploration zone, then you go to Ukraine or even Germany as your next area.I want to ask, it's really random, but do you know why in Old Russia, you can see dozens of old Antonov 124's and 225's?

Another awesome lore video from CG. Talk about a hostage situation. Tbh, I doubt Old Rasputin can destroy the Traveler, but the fallout would destroy Us. There's gotta be a term for this; Stockholm Syndrome, Double Jeopardy, Catch 22?

It's pretty heavily implied thatThe Stranger activated Rasputin again....and also that Rasputin created the exos as he says "you're certainly aren't one of MINE although once you must have been".
That card (Rasputin 4) actually explains a lot as it highlights not only his interaction with the stranger, but also the reason behind his distrust of the guardians as well as hints at the fact that Rasputin had extensive knowledge of Oryx prior to his actual arrival to the system. In the card, when he is trying to figure out who the stranger is he identifies her as not a guardian "long dead, alive again grafted to powers they don't understand [the traveller and his light]" as well as not one of "IT....the flower eater, Queen of final shapes". Oryx was once a female prior to his transformation and his big deal with the sword logic/taking thing is to give them/create their final shape...thereby pushing the universe as a whole towards its final, perfect form.

Imagine a DLC where a large war goes on in the cosmodrome and guardians go along completing mission but no matter what the outcome looks like a loss but Rasputin was making Battleframes to defend earth and they become allies
Mostly I think the biggest thing this video missed/didn't cover enough is the fact that the Rasputin card 5, highlighting Rasputin's/the Warminds plan to attack the Traveller. This scenario is actually incredibly plausible and actually helps rectify a lot of stuff sort of hanging in the lore. If the traveller had tried to flee, like it did for the Fallen, and Raspitin bombarded it (notice the damage to the traveler is below it...as this it was struck from the Earth), thereby forcing it to defend itself (and inadvertently humanity in the process) then it really explains not only the serious distrust Rasputin has of guardians (even after we have saved him many times), but also the secrecy of the Speaker/his issues with Osiris who might have figured out the truth of the Traveller and therefore turned away from this selfish God. All of this fits too with bungie who specifically stated that the idea of the Traveler being evil was scrapped but they never said he couldn't be self preserving
I feel like Rasputin shut himself and the warminds not really because there was nothing else to do, but as a fail safe because it knew that if it were to stay active, the invading creatures would take the warminds over and the humans would have their own super weapons used against them.

The traveler helps human with godlike tech, humans built resputin using that tech in case the traveler in the future decides to attack us. The darkness attacks the traveler stay and resputin never fire at him.
That was hard to read but let me clear it up. Traveler came down and gave humans the golden age. We built Warminds in the golden age. Then the darkness came and the Traveler was going to leave. The same thing happened to the fallen expect they did not have Warminds like humans did and look what happened to the fallen. Bad right? Anyways Rasputin saw that the Traveler was going to leave so he ran some simulations and found out the Traveler could save humanity but billions of people would die but humans would live on. So to stop the traveler from leaving he shot LITERALLY EVERY WEAPON THAT HUMANITY HAD at the Traveler rendering the Traveler immobile therefore the Traveler created ghosts in turn created Guardians thus Rasputin Saved humanity.

We didn't reactivate Rasputin, in one of the missions if you scan things with Ghost it will tell you that someone ELSE reactivated Rasputin as he was active when we got to him.

Your not one of IT meaning the person is not part of the Darkness And you're certainly not mine although once you must have been. THis to me refers to exo's once being war machines created and controlled by the warminds.

I'm watching this after the rise of iron, but it was the Iron Lords that reactivated Rasputin. Since Rasputin rewrote his core programming for long term survival and he viewed the Iron Lords as a threat, he reactivated and fought against the Iron Lords before falling silent to observe humanity after expelling them from Site 6.
Still look for help to do the strike for sleeper...
Rasputin did hundreds of simulations, or thousands - look up how a super computer works, Tom.

SuchALustForFries Rasputin was a modern AI warmind that lived during the Golden Age. Which means, he had mostly new weapons, like bombs, the railguns (like in the Tower and Twilight Gap, etc.), and I believe he had control of some frames and SIVA.

didn't Rasputin reactivate himself? atleast thats what i think because he was "asleep" during the collapse and in that time he might have survived and addapted to the darkness. and in that time he had some failures, be letting in knowledge he might've let in Omnigul and that led to the event where we kick her tingletits out. but the Vangaurd sent teams there aswell. to learn more, to learn how he survived the collapse and the darkness coming in it. because the other warminds didn't

I think in some of the Grimoire cards there is references to the Warmind Charlemagne on Mars. I'm not sure if Charlemagne is alive or not however.

The way I like to think about is that imagine have massive Rasputin is, you can gain access to his chambers through two (or more maybe idk) door ways. One in. Strike the other in the cosmodrome where u go to confront omingul in a mission. The reason he is so massive is because he needs all that space for the amount tech behind him that gives him that level of computing power.
Though I imagine it's a possibility like a being of immense power and knowledge would be able create an Exo with the computing power of a warmind, perhaps the nine, worm gods, maybe the traveler itself. So uh ya :)

The Traveler is that huge orb you see at the tower. It was found on mars, and it sparked a golden age of medicine, and technology. When the darkness came, the Traveler (depending on what you believe) tried to leave, or fought back against it.
You know the fact that resputin shut down due to 100% of extinction and humanity surviving just shows how incredible and how strong humanity truly is. Fuck every other race in destiny ha
