The opening sequence was literally a shot-for-shot reenactment of the opening scenes of Raiders. That’s why it seemed like one of the movies…because it literally was.
I thought the whole game was a recreation of that movie & I was not liking that idea but then when Indiana wakes up & it was a flashback/dream & that was cool.
I really like how they tied the opening to the game though, like it shows that Indy actually does think about his adventures and comprehends that he was in real danger, which isn't something we see in the movies a ton. A nice lil piece of characterization imo

The Indiana Jones trilogy were my favorite movies when I was like 9 or 10. Lived on a horse farm and used to run around with a cowboy hat and a horse whip acting like Indy haha I'm 36 now and this is giving me some major nostalgia! Thanks Brad and plz keep this series going!

@MC-zr7hl my Aunt and Uncle owned about 10 horses that she raised for personal use and to sell. There was no other livestock or anything besides a few chickens. I lived with them through childhood and wld take care of the horses with her and my uncle.

Even if the music is from the 1930s the actual rendition would still be subject to copyright actually. You could only legally replay a recording from the 1930s. That's actually useful as it allows modern recordings to exist without everyone involved having to volunteer.

I’m a PlayStation player but bought a Series X this week for the sole purpose of backwards compatibility/game preservation. Was pleasantly surprised to see this straight up available for download on gamepass! Loving Xbox so far. Other than what is quite noticeable input lag compared to PS but not a big deal for single player games. Can’t wait to play this.

This game looks incredible! I saw Raider's of the Lost Ark in the theater on opening weekend. It was my 4th theater film after Star Wars, Superman and Empire Strikes Back. I may be old today but I'm still a kid at heart and seeing the opening sequence of this game blows me away. We've come so far since 8 bit NES in 1985. Can't wait to play this.
Watching this and realizing Brad is unfamiliar with Indiana Jones movies is shocking to me but also makes me very happy to his delight in just how freaking awesome the story and set up and universe is. I LOVE IT
One of my favorite movies of this year was between Terrifier 3 and Smile 2 I am into horror movies now and I was taken back by them. Also I loved that Evil Dead movie as well although it wasn't this year's movie release. I was also into the Indiana Jones movies as well and I saw them all and I really enjoyed them.

The first 17mins was cool, you got to play the beginning of Raiders Of The Lost Ark movie, can't believe you didn't realize that Brad, the invisible steps you were talking about should be The Last Crusade, which is my favorite out of the Franchise. Wow the Giant, Tony Todd...may he RIP. The mixture of first person and third person gameplay is awesome and the sound effects of the fighting from the movies too
