The ideal strategy for Paul that sadly never happened would’ve been for him to bring out junk warrior and copycat, copy cat could of copied utopias attack and junk warrior would gain those attack points from copycat giving junk warrior an attack strength of 5800.

Both of those were my favorite childhood starter decks I remember how my brother got his xyz deck before me bc I thought I wasn’t getting one and then got surprised by it after I did my chores also I remember trading a nerf gun to my brother for the synchro deck

something I always think is fun, is getting 3 copies of a starter deck and building the best version you can to play without using any outside cards. Watching these duels reminded me of those days.
i can confirm that theirs currently four inpachi cards all vanillas inpachi (4 star earth machine 1600 atk 1900 def), blazing inpachi (4 star fire pyro 1850 atk 0 def), charcoal inpachi and woodborg inpachi that is shown in the vid
What's strange is that here in Serbia, Europe I've played YuGiOh during my primary school days and stopped somewhere around 2011 and I've never heard of Synchro nor XYZ until I came back to the game this year. This means that the coverage of cards in my country then was extremely behind other big countries. While the YGO scene now is pretty much up to date with the world thanks to the internet and everything, it's just something interesting to think about: the fact that while the world was in the 5ds time and started shifting towards the XYZ, we were still in deep into GX.

I can watch you guys play duels for hours. The pace is perfect for someone like me, who doesn’t really know enough about yugioh to keep up with standard online duels. Don’t be afraid to do more with the decks you already have! There are a lot of rematches I need to see.
Syncros are awesome! I wish we would've received more "Junk" cards along the years, but it's all about that Stardust. I love the different Junk Syncro monsters and made a deck for them, but it does nothing anymore...
@@anonmurdoc4606 Yes! fusion between "Dark Blade" and "Knight Blade" to make "Knight of the Dark Blade", something with 2600 attack & 2100 defense and an effect that it gains 400 ATK for every "Blade" monster on the field and negate monster effects if you have no monsters on the field ^u^

Yusei (5Ds) is the oldest Yu-Gi-Oh protagonist at 18, while Yuma (Zexal) was one of, if not the, youngest at 13; until Yuga (SEVENS) became the youngest at 11.

I remember doing the scrap iron scarecrow infinite use in one turn cause we didn’t know the set rule, but everyone ran three mst anyway so it didn’t matter too much.
I stopped playing back in 2007 just before Synchro got introduced. Now I'm thinking about coming back to Yugioh and I am so new to Sync his, XYZ, and Pendulum Monsters.
XYZ still need deck setup. A lot of times monsters in an archetype are all different levels which works much better with Synchro than it does XYZ. They said they still both require paying attention to levels and even sometimes modifying them. Cards like Galactic Spiral Dragon matter for a reason. Links are really the only ones that commonly don't need setup.
I really enjoy watching this duel. I hope there's a tournament that the viewers can enjoy watching it instead of wondering "what happen? am I missed something?".

Paul had a really good poker face for game 1. Haha! I like xyz summoning because it’s neater, you detach the material to activate the effect. I like synchro summoning too, but when I’d play against my friends in high school, my cards were never good enough for a synchro combo, but xyz summoning was much easier for me
I love old school Yu-gi, look at how they played I realized nowadays most of the time modern duel is like a single player game, turn 1 and my opponent already spam an army or end me. It doesn't feel like a duel or a two players game anymore.
Yep. Hence the play at 21:50 was illegal. Personally for stuff that 'attaches' to cards, I physically place the card under whatever it is affecting so I don't forget, and then place a token in my spell/trap zone to represent the zone being used.

I had an idea for a series. Go to locals and try to win, be it a game, a match, or more. The twist is, you can play any card you want, as long as they are at least 10 years old. If you do this every month or two, your card pool will grow as the game gets older. Like progression series, with a twist.

I am not a pro but I feel like you can use xys basically with any deck, instead synchro monsters need a good deck to be played consistently.
