I found one of these on the street in the trash in august 2016, when i was moving out of my apartment. (and others were too) I just put it in my brothers room under his bed and moved somewhere else. I just moved back home after grad school and it was in my room. i know nothing about this synth but it works and it sounds good. what a surprise
This is a really good synth for progressive rock music, hard rock and metal. The sound can be very dark and fat easily. Fat pads, saws, fat leads...just POWER.
It was my first "professional" synth in 1992... I did a lot of music with it, very inspiring... later I had to sell it to buy a K2000... now I have too many synths, but I found a cheap SQR plus 32 voice... so I had to buy it. After all these years, it sounds remarkably well I have to say. Those DP effects are great.
Die stärken sind seine außergewöhnlichen Synthsounds. ❤ Wer gute Natursounds sucht, ist mit diesem Keyboard falsch beraten. Aber genau deshalb mag ich ihn , er hat Charakter 🎉
Ja dodaje ts poglos z delay ping pong i modulacje i barwa 09 brzmi jak mocne techno. Uzylem jej do solowki klowna wersja konccertowa denc z odliczaniem. Nawet nie quantyzowalem. Tu te barwy brzmia bardzo delikatnie. W rzeczywistosci sa bardzo ostre.
@RunningonairMusic _ Much appreciated your tutorials on FM synthesis, and its affinities & differences with the PaseMod (a happy owner of SY77, lookin' for a TG77 to increase polyphony).
Dzisiaj wszystko brzmi w mono.
@@RunningonairMusic thanks for the tip, but I need the actual system exclusive dumps/ patch files. Or are you saying those are included in sound diver?
@@RunningonairMusic I was under the impression that this demo used a bunch of different patches beyond the default ROM set? I am currently negotiating buying one, looking for additional patches for it.

Great find!
Nice, sounds like a bit of a beast!
My first Synth. Thank You for the memories!
No problem!

I must get this synth out again soon.

"Too many synths" that sounds familiar :-). Ive got the k2000 too, it needs a bit of work but i expect to cover that at some point.
loved the upright bass and piano patch
Yes, i didn't include that one as i wanted to focus on individual sounds, but there were many good sounds i didn't include.

I'm working on getting editing software so i can try out a few more features.
The SQ1 had no competition in its days. It was a mid-class synth with full options. Only the Yamaha SY-55 came close, but lacks a chorus effect.
Not tried the 55
Does the rack have the same sound banks as the SQ1. I have the SQ1 but was looking to maybe pickup the rack to take up less room.
Yes, as long as it's the same version.
Hello there, nice video, what do you use to show note and chords?
It's called chordie.
@@RunningonairMusic thank you!

Sounds interesting
Not bad! But I would like to handmade [how to correctly write in english... игра рукой]. And yet i hit "thumbs up" !
I guess you mean "played by hand". Thanks!
🙂 waitin' for a TS / ZR demo 🙂
Maybe one day!
@@RunningonairMusic _ A pleasure, to follow you 👍
Thanks, much appreciated!

I'll be doing more on the sy77 this year for sure.
Hello! Ensoniq sq1 is sensitive?
Velocity sensitive, yes.

Thanks for your comment.
Any idea where I can find the Sysex for these, that isn't Facebook?
If you can get sound diver to work, you could export using that.

Im just curious. If you have an sq, then you can get them from the instrument. If you don't have an sq, then what use would They be?

I see, no it's just what comes in the box. If you factory reset, this is what you get. For other patches, i'd ask around social media.
I got an SQ2 for $120 🥳
Nice!
What year? And how haha
